How does it feel to have a daughter who probably wears a chicken head around the house while you're drawing your next muscle-ly abomination?

those arms... looks like girl arms

WHAT?!

>Dad has a "men pissing on each other" fetish
>Daughter is a furfag

Attached: 1565173469878.jpg (632x632, 35K)

>imagine being proud of your daughter for picking up your profession, only the write a fucking furry manga

Paru IS a girl, user. That's why Beastars is so fabulously gay.

IIRC Paru had a tumblr at some point where her face is present. When she did Beast Complex I think

WAIT, HE'S 62 YEARS OLD? ARE YOU KIDDING ME?

Yes. He's 62, good looking, fit, rich, has good taste and has been popular for over 25 years when he started drawing manga after army.

Araki already has him beat. Have you seen that immortal fucker?

at first i was thinking about how funny this was and then i realized I'll never have a cute daughter that becomes a skilled artist and makes me proud.

Damn it

Attached: 1547363445988.jpg (798x798, 40K)

Do he and Araki go to the same gym or something? He somehow looks younger than Araki despite being older?

>how does a guy who draws martial art manga for a living look so healthy?
dunno bro

It's not a competition, jojofag.

You need to be a skilled artist yourself first.

You want to suck his dick?

Start making yourself artistic before dreaming of getting a cute daughter artist.

literally who?

So, nepotism?

I admit I never read any of their works, but good for them.
From a simple google search my impression seems like the father is musclefag and the daughter is a furfag?

wait a minute
a cock can't lay eggs

Attached: 1541913887839.png (223x195, 49K)

it only goes so far lol

she's good at making manga so who gives a shit? if her work was bad it just wouldn't sell.

Pretty much yeah, her dad paid a lot of people to buy her manga.

>nepotism
Huh? Are Beastars' manga sales also because of nepotism? She would have been cancelled if she can't stand on her own.

Oh you just know

Attached: 1568569653199.png (750x771, 720K)

Eh, not really, just a child going into the same industry as her father.

>Not La Hija del Keisuke Itagaki

kek

kek, how tall is he? 1.60?

I bet Paru is too autistic to keep in touch with her father despite working at the same place. Their relationship must be like Legosi and Gosha's.

I don't think so, at least it wouldn't be a large factor in her popularity. Otherwise Party's relationship with her father would've been advertised heavily when she debuted. He might've just helped her get meetings with good editors and such. Either way, Party herself is a great artist who draws some very unique and intriguing manga which in itself is a very marketable asset - Beastars and animal complex are actually pretty good, if you aren't put off by furry designs. It'd be disingenuous to attribute all her success solely to her family relationships.

Lol, this isn't like the dying US comic industry

Sucking dick is the epithome of manliness and not gay at all. If you read Baki you'd know that.

All this time I always assumed she was his daughter. I thought this was an established fact.

It was obvious in hindsight with how gay it gets. They probably got pissed off enough at all the theories though.
Good on Paru though
Nobody is reading this manga because "Oh my god Paru is Bakiman's daughter!!!"

I had no idea, and nothing will change apart from a short chuckle at how different their style is.
I started reading Beastars because it was good and gay.

B A S E D

Is baki that ugly manga?

He's not rich. Only Oda and a few top mangaka are rich.

He doesn't write a shonen but it's the author of freaking Baki he still gotta be somewhat wealthy.

The millionaire mangaka are Oda, Togashi, Takeuchi, Kishimoto, Toriyama.

At least a diaperfur

The strong is the beautiful.

Good connections are vital to success. Japs don't think of it as immoral. It's normal to give your family a leg up.

I don't think vast majority of beastars readers even knew that Paru was his daughter because for a while it has been tossed around as a conspiracy theory and meme.

>Nobody is reading this manga because "Oh my god Paru is Bakiman's daughter!!!"
Fucking idiot. The manga got published and advertised hard because of family connections. Yes, it's successful, but the in-group preferences really helped.

Have you read the newest chapter of beastars?

Rumiko Takahashi is balling.

You'd usually be correct to assume anonymous isn't an experienced drawfag.
I've been doing it for a decade and actually gave a shit so I got good at it. I'm still a neet loser though sadly. It's a hobby.

Attached: 1548198981985.gif (456x462, 1.21M)

What about the opposite, your father is a successful mangaka, but it's fucking Baki.
I love Baki anyways.

She might have got the front door, that could be true but her works are so good that she would've stood up on her own anyway. It's like copying from the original but making it so good and differentiate that it's a original itself.

Pics or it didn't happen

>dad is a barafag
>daughter is a furfag
That's what makes this hilarious in hindsight. They're both known mangakas, father and daughter, with different weird fetishes.

Taking a hobby to a professional level is a high hurdle, I agree. Fortunately, you don't have to make the jump by yourself with that particular hobby if you find a writer you trust.

Draw some porn, that's probably the best way to make money out of a drawing hobby.

Such a cute history.

Imagine the dude teacher her lil daugther how to draw deformed luscled men, and she instead learning how to draw antropomorphic wolves.

Aww

Most mangaka in WSJ top 10 are pretty damn well off. regular salary for the weekly publications+royalties for the volumes.

Royalties are around 37-45 yen per copy, even a pretty weak selling manga that moves only 300k per year is already a yearly 120K$ or so, without taking into account the weekly publication salary and things like merchandise, tie-ins, licensing for products, etc.

Everything moving above 1mil copies per year makes you rich, super popular manga move somewhere ear 10mil a year. Toriyama, Kishi, Kubo, FKMT, Araki and friends aren't just rich, they're stupid rich.

Even much smaller names like Ishida (tokyo ghoul), are rich.

Who do think is their favorite character in the other's work?

I always assume people that live in USA and maybe Europe are having a weird sense of the amount of money? Like below $100000 per year is low middle income-poor tier?

Attached: D85nnnzXkAEXerN.jpg (488x681, 36K)

I can believe it was published based on the merits
>advertised hard
Yeah okay dude. Samurai 8 is advertised hard but it's still unpopular trash

This is Itagaki's house
It's valued at $4,000,000
It's roughly 3,000 square feet

Attached: DvACUo7UwAMQD-B.jpg orig.jpg (2048x1152, 427K)

Dunno, it all depends on the place.
In Japan 120K a year will set you pretty good, definitely not rich- but far, far from being anywhere near poor.

In Singapore it's a midway salary, you won't be spending too much time partying with that

In the Philippines, you'll need to ask yourself which color do you want the gate to your palace colored.

>"Not now Sweetie, daddy needs to pretend Sumo can legit beat serious MMA guys."

From the interview
>so Keisuke did pull a few strings so Beastar could be published on the magazine in the start, but he was quite surprised when it started to sell more volumes than Baki

Attached: F9F96D64-1E74-4541-911D-B95E3BF1856C.jpg (1080x1123, 264K)

>Paru is her real and she’s using her real name because ‘father gave me the name’
>Keisuke is a pen name but he can no longer remember what was the meaning behind it and how he came up with it
>the reason that the father-daughter relationship is being announced now is because Paru feels that she’s stronger now

Attached: 0B200FE5-60E9-40D0-96A2-C30BD5288EA3.jpg (1080x1491, 392K)

retard, you're reading someone's impressions on the interview and giving your impressions on that poster's impressions
itagaki said that he showed his daughter's work to his editor
that's the extent of his "pulling strings"

>Paru is her real name
>Keisuke is a pen name
you don't speak a word of japanese, do you

Well in Indonesia $100k per year would make you top 10% of rich people. Many of us must survive with less than $300 per month.

sakit kelapa
d'oh

Honestly it really depends how you spend your money.
I'm single in Australia with minimum wage and I'm always surprised at how much money I have left at the end of the month. Probably lack of social life and having a roommate.

The two of them never mentioned it up until now, and Shonen Champion never drew attention to the fact that they had the same family name.
Mind you, it was always a weird coincidence, so most people just assumed that they were related by default.

Yes. That being said, the manga is selling well.

any pictures of her without the chicken mask?

Iirc, prior to this point, Paru had never confirmed her relation to her dad. Serious props to her for getting to where she is on the merit of her work alone.

Attached: 1364675916709.gif (386x377, 560K)

What mask?

It's over, beastarbros...
How will we recover from this?

kemobara grand daughter when

kemobara is the most fucking disgusting thing in existence
delete this post right now

A crossover with Beastars characters in a Baki artstyle.

Attached: big and strong.jpg (836x791, 327K)

africa office workers is coming out and there's nothing you can do about it

How the fuck is Togashi a millionaire, that hack barely draws anymore

Wasn't Bakistars common knowledge already?

Even not counting the money he's made from his own works the fact that he's married to the lady that made Sailor Moon means he could probably never draw another day in his life and still be loaded

YYH was very successful, and HxH still gets sales despite being dead at this point. Takeuchi, his wife, is the author of Sailor Moon and is probably richer than he is.

He doesn't need to, the royalties from his previous works, and the occasional HxH volume coming out, are enough to make him money. That, and he's married to Naoko Takeuchi.

Wait, you seriously think Itagaki didn't pass the Kemono virus to Paru?

Attached: Baki doggo edition.jpg (505x608, 185K)

this

just give gramps bigger back muscles

Attached: photo_2019-08-29_22-51-49.jpg (835x1200, 315K)

You think she likes her dad's manga?

Baki sold around 80 million volumes, you must be insane to think Itagaki isn't well above middle class.

>Keisuke Itagaki and Paru Itagaki are confirmed to be father and daughter
Did they know themselves?

>He doesn't write a shonen but it's the author of freaking Bak
Baki IS shonen.

The US heavily depends on where you live. Some places like California have astronomical living expenses while a small suburban town like where I live is pretty comfy even when only making 15 an hour

someone post the beastars infused with baki

At least the girls are hot and you don't have to deal with hambeasts like we do. Look at the upside i guess.

Hah, I knew it.

Surprise me

extend depiction of Kitler on a toilet, which is followed by the core male cast proceeding to literally pick through his shit. in a two page spread.

Not him, but in case you wanted to see for yourself, the raws were posted here

You're clearly a moron who's shooting at the dark.

You want to know REAL examples of forced shilling due to nepotism? Look no further than Toriko.

>pull a few strings
Nope, all he did was literally the same thing as an any aspring mangaka does: Meet an editor.

He must be proud.

Why is 3 shades lighter than him then?

The sun never touches her skin because she spends most of her time in her chicken fursuit

Has there ever been any other parent-child mangaka pairs?

Attached: 1471447703829.jpg (480x600, 38K)

Mother's genes and probably she stays indoors

Why the anonymity? Is she afraid people will jack off to her face?

She wants the jizz on the chicken head itself.

It's considered unfashionable for Japanese women to tan, so they wear long sleeves to avoid that. Men don't really care.

He's pretty good looking for a guy in his 60s.

Believe it or not, but Itagaki trains martial arts.

So he has big arms? I thought Paru was a skeleton for a moment.

I always assumed Baki was some sort of laughing stock manga that nobody ever read but everybody knew about because it is fucking ugly
Like Musashi Gundou

You mean to tell me Baki is actually popular?

>You mean to tell me Baki is actually popular?
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Baki_the_Grappler
>As of 2018, the first four Baki series had over 75 million collected volumes in circulation

Speaking of Baki series, I've only read up to where he fights Yujiro and didn't go further because the handshake was a kino note to end on. Is the later material worth reading? I heard it's just Baki being bored and stomping everyone because hes the strongest now.

The best analogy I've read is that they're like DLC additions to a game where you already beat the final boss.

Interesting. Maybe I'll add it to my fight autism backlog as I work through Holyland and Kengan Ashura

Why she created Haru? What was she trying to convey?

>The entire ending of son of ogre
Now that was actual kino.
>I will head pat you

He's pretty lean nowadays which is fine for a 62 years old guy. Paru is a legit skelly scally.

Baki is a fantastic manga, you pleb. In terms of technical proficiency alone it most likely shits all over your favorite manga. Except for the latest sumo bullshit, fuck that.

Baki is a beautiful manga. Much better than the generic style of when it was started and the generic style of now.

>Keisuke Itagaki
>barafag
>Baki's latest anime adaptation is a Netflix exclusive
>Paru Itagaki
>furfag
>Beastars' anime adaptation is a Netflix exclusive
Something fishy's going on

Attached: 1539437455339.png (323x280, 63K)

He publishes over 30 pages per week when he's on a streak, how the fuck does he do it?!

Baki chapters are freaking long.

>>Beastars' anime adaptation is a Netflix exclusive
That's only because of how +Ultra works

I realise that, but it wouldn't be airing in the +Ultra slot if it wasn't a Netflix exclusive in the first place.

I'm not going to google that and you can't make me

>Paru Itagaki will start an autobiographical manga Paruno Graffiti (a play on her name and the band Porno Graffiti) in the October issue of Kodansha's Kiss magazine on September 25.
>The "short home drama" will center on Itagaki and her two older sisters, mother, and father. The promotional artwork shows father Keisuke Itagaki in a form resembling The Fantastic Four's The Thing.

> Itagaki
> Not rich
Thanks user for showing this heathen the way, I wanted to post the same, but couldn't find BASEDgaki's house pictures.

...

It's about anthro salarymen featuring a lion, a toucan and a lizard and they're doujinbait

It's obvious bakigaki is the ntr blond chad who stole paru's mother away from a fat loser.
