One which felt satisfying. The manga's ending was anything but.

One that doesn’t end on a cliffhanger and then fasts forwards to the epilogue without any explanation of how it got there. Also, one that isn’t a rushed. Maybe one that’s also not a troll ending just to give a “take that!” to the editor.

Get rid of Chiyo going evil unless if it was actually going to be a full arc. Explain how the wet t-shirt contest was still on and how the boys were actually allowed to attend. Maybe actually show the contest itself. Give some finality to Mari leaving and Chairman in jail.

I really loved prison school until the sport festival happened. Everything was just out of place, the pacing got fucked, and it pisses me off how it was rushed at the end.

It’s got a few laughs out of me, despite me still being annoyed about the ending of Prison School. I feel like it’ll take some time to reach Prison School’s level of funny but it’s alright so far.

I’d like to believe this is the case, almost like a bad end on a visual novel. But I don’t realistically know how a “real ending” would even work, or how it would look like.

The sports festival literally began with the boys becoming a bit less hated by the Underground Student Council since Kyoshi saved their asses, but suddenly all ties are reversed to pure hatred again, and in the end it all resets back to zero, if this was always Hiramoto then the series should ended within 5 volumes since the "plot" it had never mattered.

Basically this. I know that it’s a gag manga not meant to be taken seriously, but Hiramoto’s actually got a knack for good visual storytelling and clever romantic comedy. So it’s pretty disappointing for the story and development to just be rendered useless.

I’d be perfectly fine with a second season adapting the USC in prison arc and maybe condensing parts of the sports festival, and then an original ending staying away from the autism of the confession arc.

It blatantly got axed. Bacteria arc got abruptly skipped and in the few last chapters author explained how everything happened and finished the manga.
