>Every ep has this weird Sepia filter aesthetic
>The final ep ditches it and is in full color after the conflict has been resolved
I loved that shit, and this was a pretty good series. Still holds up well today, even though the animation is nothing special, I'm glad I had finally finished it after procrastinating on it for so long.
However in the end I personally liked Boogiepop Wa Warawanai more, for one reason is the fact that it's canon. Knowing that Phantom is essentially a side-story kinda took some of the weight out of the ending, and I enjoyed the plots of the novels more as well.
Boogiepop Phantom
Congratulations user, you are a person with patrician taste now
>watching nonsensical train of thought crap
>you are a person with patrician taste now
Finally made it
Boogiepop is good, mate
Based negative-IQ poster.
Good taste user, true patricians realise both series are great.
>season 2 never
It hurts

Can I read LNs in a comprehensible language somewhere?
Yes.
only the ones that were covered in the anime.
But the anime is so minimalistic it's worth reading anyways
Being "canon isn't a good thing when the source material is shit.
How can you say that when they butchered the first book so bad? I was really looking forward to the show too, ended up being the biggest disappointment of the year.
it's more for novel readers
get fucked.
I liked it without reading the novel first because it was mysterious and had a based as fuck soundtrack.
Plus the art is great, I think is the designer of the hunter x hunter anime characters
Speaking of season 2, if that ever happened what are the thoughts on having "Boogiepop in the Mirror:Pandora" be the starting arc or would that be a waste? I think it would be a good refresher since
>It's mostly unrelated but decently reintroduces the main cast
>Goes back to events before Overdrive but expands on things from that book like the construction of the Moon Temple, Kentaro's relationship with Nagi, and Eugene
>Has a likable group of new characters
>Has a lot of action and goes at a pretty brisk pace so it could probably be covered in 3 eps, maybe 4
>Boogiepop's more mythical in this and doesn't appear until the end but could be a nice "oh, shit" considering the amount of build-up it gets
Or they could move to the actual new material
user don't even give me a fragment of hope. the stupid nips didn't buy the bds, it'll never happen.
I've yet to watch it.
Have the translation guys done any more of the novels?
I only saw the first 6 translated.
>Have the translation guys done any more of the novels?
No, we're still trapped in translation limbo
Kino
They didn’t, seven seas keep translating yuri and isekai
What absolute niggers.
Can we take a moment to appreciate this guy for making one of the best OSTs of all time
Agreed, he’s really good
bump
this real hood motherfucker in one of my classes asked me if i watched boogiepop. i asked him if he meant the new one, and he said nah that old shit. pretty based black guy.
>sepia filter
Dude, thats how all TV and movies looked before HD came out. If you pop in a VCR tape in and watch it, the same blurryness a lack of solor will mirror what you saw.
If that was true then the last episode wouldn't look any different.
It’s not fair
I wish they animated it but I understand why they didn’t
The novel is amazing, and I liked all the characters
bubble a best
A BEST
