Easily the worst part of the show. I don't mind fanservice usually but she trips and has her clothes fall off in nearly every scene she's in for no other reason than to have it happen. Damn this show for making me feel bad for her.

FF is not made to be "emotional".
Is comedy action. Kinda like fairy tail. But unlike fairy tail, the power of friendshit is contained, the asspulls are forgivable, have an interesting plot, and Shinra is way more likeable than Natsu.
If you are looking for grimdark and tragedy then you are looking at the wrong manga, cause there is supposed to be none. Or just the necessary amount to create some tension.

I don't think it's been brought up, but we've seen her open her coat before using her abilities. It's probably something related to her mobility and running and jumping around like a cat. Having said that, clothes are allergic to Tamaki anyway, and will jump off her body, and Tamaki has unnaturally high fire resistance even for a fire soldier. She got bruised by an attack that decapitated another fire soldier.

Also one of the things I dislike the most about FF is how bland the character designs are compared to Soul Eater, in SE everyone was pretty unique but in Fire Force everyone looks like plenty of characters I've already seen many times

I said some weeks ago (knowing nothing about the original manga) that Shinra reminded me of Sol Badguy and Arthur of ki kiske (even the powers and some moves).
FF isn't original at all and i am sincerely not interested on even reading the manga, just saying that the "smile when nervous" sounds like something super interesting as a parody for the shonen genre.
