It's pretty clear that BnHA is being set up as a long-running series to replace the void left behind when OP finally ends. What other series do you think are going to be part of the new Big Three?
It's pretty clear that BnHA is being set up as a long-running series to replace the void left behind when OP finally...
>New big three
Never happening, but they're definitely trying to make MHA a long running success. Promised Neverland seems too laser focused on progressing towards a set conclusion to run for too long. Yaiba is more flexible, it could end next year or ten years from now if they want to do a time skip. That being said, Wani would have to change the game tremendously given how far they've progressed with the initial goal. Black Clover will probably be able to get its entire 500 chapter run in but I don't think it'll ever be on par with the past big hits. Chainsaw Man, even if it becomes huge, will not run for that long.
Watch One Piece outlive all this shit and HxH stay on hiatus the whole time.
>watch One Piece outlive all this shit
I know it's a meme that OP will go on forever, but it's actually starting to feel like it's getting fairly close to ending. Luffy got two Haki upgrades, Zoro got an insanely powerful sword, and the entire crew are going up against Yonko now. I would give it at most five years before ending. HxH is never ending though.
>Chainsaw Man, even if it becomes huge, will not run for that long
So it's one of those series that's approaching a set goal at a good pace?
mha won't replace anything, it's not remotely on the same level of popularity as one piece
in fact by the time one piece ends I'm pretty sure mha sales will have dwindled
Just not something the author seems prone to. Although the pace is pretty brisk thus far. No full status quo has set in because things keep shaking up.
Kimetsu will be part of the new big 3
There will never be a new Big 3 because the Big 3 were not "three popular series", but markers of an actual transitional era for Shounen Jump that almost certainly will never be replicated.
Even if One Piece ends in 5 years and that's a big fucking if ( One Piece has at least a 10-15 years imo) There will definitely be a sequel that Oda will write. I can't see him walking away from the world forever and BnHA does not have enough story to be a long runner like One piece.
There have been Big 3s before. DB, Slam Dunk, and YYH are a good example.
Does KnY manga sell more than BnHA?
Not even close
Nah I don't see this series lasting longer than 450-500 chapters at most it'll end around the same time as OP. There'll be a new comer at some point they'll push super hard.
Black Clover is the next long runner. BNHA wont even be half as long as Naruto was.
Yes
MHA is like the unwanted bastard child of Naruto and Bleach, it's somehow managed to mesh both of their problems, yet none of what made either of the show good. Chosen One portrayed as an underdog? check. Stupid power-ups out the ass? check. Supporting cast that might as well just be background characters as the series progresses, and over all have no presence despite being important during the first half? check.
Deku is just Green Naruto Kurosaki.
the students have 6 semesters at ua and are currently in the second one. mha is definitely a long runner especially when more arcs focused on other chartacters appear
the author of BC said he would want it to be as long as naruto or even OP if hes allowed to
with the success of kny the author could go on for years if he wants
CSM doesnt have a goal. the mc just wants to live a normal life eat normal food and have a gf. i could see it going for 3-4 years
>6 semesters
Isn't high school normally 4 years?
>BnHa replacing anything at all
This series will be dead next year, mark my word
in Japan it's 6 years of elementary school, 3 years of middle school, and 3 years of high school.
You've been saying this for the past 3 years.
I don't have anything against BnHA but how 'corporate Disney' it feels turned me off from reading that far into it
>One Piece has at least 10-15 years
How? Even if you discredit the 5 years that are remaining, why would you think that we still have an additional 10 years left of One Piece? 10 years ago, Marineford was still happening. There are over 350 chapters of the manga post time-skip. Straw Hats have completely skipped over the entire New World "journey" and are focusing solely on the endgame stuff with Road Poneglyphs. (They don't need to go from island to island anymore like they did in Paradise.)
The Straw Hats are more than 50% done with the New World. (They have 2 Road Poneglyphs, and they are in the arc where they'll get the third.) They have Poseidon in their back-pocket; Robin knows where Pluton is located. All they need after Wano are the final Road Poneglyph and Uranus' location. The only islands that the Straw Hats need to go to in the New World after this are Elbaf and Laugh Tale/Raftel, with Mary Georse and quite possibly the moon also playing some role in the series as well. In any case, One Piece is winding down. We are no longer dealing with mid-bosses anymore; the Straw Hats have to deal with the literal upper echelon (Yonko, Admirals, etc.) of the OP world.
The Wano arc will hopefully conclude the Yonko/Alliance stuff that started at Punk Hazard and the manga will go back to a traditional journey with a refocus on the other straw hat members with no side characters like Law and the Minks taking the spotlight.
I'm only about halfway through but I assume they will probably end it after they kill the gun demon.
MHA is too big to fail
Based and Westernpilled
>implying One Piece will end before BnHA
It does
>Implying One Piece will end.
The week Oda dies OP won't miss a week of publication.
> OP ending
Not happening Oda pacing is far too slow
It might at least this year, the anime gave it a huge boost in backlog just like Neverland. Still the current volume can't sell the same amount of copies as Hero's and Neverland's
I'd advise reading MHA before you shitpost about it. Poor bait like this won't get any traction. In any case, here's your (You).
But they're completely right. The supporting cast does nothing. Characters like Ochako and Iida have done absolutely nothing of note. Shafting Iida is fair enough since Hori gave him one of the blandest powers ever, but Ochako is just Sakura 2.0, a bland girl character that occasionally gets their own watered-down fights that parallel Deku's. Characters are given a few chapters, if they're lucky, to flesh them out, and then promptly forgotten and used for background gags, just like Aoyama, Kirishima, etc.
Pretty bold to presume that from Fujimoto
WHY ARE YOU PEOPLE SO OBSESSED WITH A BIG 3?
Kimetsu is ending by next year m8
All deku needed was 1 power. His power is already OP why does he need 6 more?
As long as Jump gets more fun manga in style of Spy x Family or Chainsawman i give literally zero fucks about what 1000 chapter long turd they will be pushing hard.
Kimetsu is ending that quick?
So he’s gonna breath so hard that his lungs pop?
Bnha can't compete with one piece honey. one piece will definitely last at least 7-8 years more so if bnha tries to outlive op it will just continue get worse and worse while op will get better and better
Don't know about a third one, but Black Clover is definitely one of them
>I'd advise reading mha
I would advise doing anything better with your time
lol no
The author said he doesn't think he can last until chapter 500 and we have no reason to doubt him.
I know this is a shitpost but it’s fairly accurate
It's not a shitpost.
