I meant this thread specifically. It pulls in good numbers on Mangadex. Recent chapter was 26k views in a day which is pretty good. Though I wonder how it's doing in Japan since it's running under a different publisher (Kodansha) on their Pocket Magazine service/site so hopefully there's more leniency than what Yokota got at jump. He's one of my favorites and has been since reading Molester Man as it was being scanlated so I hope this turns out to be a hit for him.

It's going to live and die by the characters but Yokota's usually good at creating decent characters. Male lead is great, female lead is cute as fuck and actually a well done tsundere so far, female wingmen are always great and Doctor Delinquent rules.

This is a pretty cute manga, I do hope it doesn't do the normal "will they won't they bullshit", but my expectations are low.
But the girl having a crush on the prefect from the first few chapters (and him seeming to feel something for her) isn't a bad start as far as they go. The art style is fun as well.

It's too bad Jump is merciless. It was consistently around the middle of the rankings but its tank sales weren't up to snuff. I imagine those two would've been developed better if he'd actually had time to do it but he realized the series was likely on the chopping block.
I'll be pretty damn happy if I there winds up being a Koganeiroverse reference in this series too but I think he probably closed that off with the Shudan omake.

Yeah, his wife was one of the MCs from Koganeiro. Kanbara (the other girl) shows up in a panel or two with them during the epilogue. Kinoshita (the MC) doesn't actually show up in Sesuji but gets mentioned as living in Tokyo presumably as an editor. It's a shame that Viz only did three chapters each of Sesuji and Shudan before dropping both. I'd really love it if his stuff (and OMK) had official English releases.

It's a shame that the rankings/sales tanked during that arc because it's definitely one of the better "tournament" arcs I've seen. The Rio/Doigaki drama was done really well and the chapter from pic related is probably my favorite part of the entire series because I wasn't expecting something so sweet from those two characters.

I can't read nip but this prequel is fucking insane going by the raws. There's some guy walking around right now who uses what I'm to understand is Hamon, but the breathing is tied to english words so he winds up screaming in Engrish while evaporating you with his fists. And a cop whose power is being a quick shot with super sticky semen literally spidermans through an alley to catch someone who can summon dildos anywhere in space and attached to any surface.

This isn't true haremshit first of all, at best it's an ecclectic cast of characters populating a school with a very obvious romantic thread hanging out for Poemu and Prefect. It's 5-6 chapters so far and it's fun still, so going all doomsday because 80% of harem or Pseudo-harem stories are garbage is very premature given this mangaka.

Akina will probably get Doctor Delinquent but I don't think library dude will get with Tasaki. Every romcom needs the female friend of the female lead who bemoans the fact she doesn't have a boyfriend while everyone else is getting them so that'll probably be her role while also playing wingman.
