How did he end up being more one-dimensional than Goku and Naruto?
How did he end up being more one-dimensional than Goku and Naruto?
OP here I posted the wrong pic
Because he hasn’t had to develop as a person yet.
He will soon, given Hori has set up the LoV to really make Deku evolve as a person.
>Goku beat up people and talked them into being his friend or he killed them
>Naruto beat up people and talked them into being a friend or he beat them some more
>Deku gets beaten up and no one's opinion of him in-universe changes
All Might obviously knows picking him over Mirio was a mistake.
Because he dont have talk no jutsu like naruto or is just a straight up autist like Goku
He is just average-strong, average-intelligent and not really charismatic
He got his powers not through effort or training like naruto, but he don't push them to their limits like Goku either
Madman Deku was the best because it added complexity to his power, but then he started to control it and it became dull
>Mirio will never be the main character of MHA
It hurts so much
Gon was intentionally made to be one-dimensional.
perseverance
Mirio is like opposite deku
>Stoic
>Is willing to go over the edge with style
>Actual fun quirk
>No innate asspulling from six other quirks
>average-intelligent
More like above average.
Okay, above average
Not remarkable, the manga didn't convince me yet that he is exceptionally smart
Jokes aside he's shallow.
Hes kind, why? Just because.
Tanjiro is kind because he had to take the role of father figure for his siblings early on and sympathizes with his enemies because he loves his sister and knows they were loved once as well.
Deku wants to be a hero, why? Because he saw All Might on TV as a kid.
Naruto wants to be hokage so he can be loved and accepted by his village which he was denied as an orphan.
I mean even his power is punching and flicking his fingers. It's like the author wanted to make him as generic as possible. At least Gon was fast and so it made fights like the one with Hisoka amazing.
kek
It's so wrong when the most recent work, that's supposed to fix its predecessors' mistakes, is the worst written one of the lot
Deku's intelligence isn't above average at all though. People saying that he is, doesn't mean it's true. He hasn't displayed above average intelligence in almost all his fights.
The issue with Deku is that he's fundamentally the same character that he was at the start.
He has progressed in terms of skills but he has changed very little, if not at all as a person.
Deku's main intelligent aspect was his 'analysis' of other quirks. Which is typically something every other character is able to do come the tournament arc, which is good because otherwise they'd be retarded.
Have any of the characters besides todoroki and iida changed?
liar
They didn't really change either. Both had lapses due to some specific circumstance and then got over them.
Only Endeavor, Twice, ReDestro, and Shiggy have changed. And only Endeavor and Twice for the better.
That doesn't make him above average though.
Pretty sure in Endeavor case it's also partial retcon.
Spbp
More than dimension than Asta and Demon Slayer MC
The story is about Deku inspirng other people to be better. Which is a concept that clearly implies that there is a best kind of person with the truest sense of right and that person is Deku, so he really can't change much from his initial outlook. He just has to build up confidence in himself.
>No one's opinion of him changes
All Might's opinion of him changed in the first fucking episode retard.
If he got OFA he would be asspulling the foreshadowed 6 quirks
>The story is about Deku inspirng other people to be better
>wanted to be hero despite being powerless
>gets top tier powers gifted to him
>Hes kind, why? Just because.
Kindness was never a pointed out character trait, it's his heroic spirit that is always recognized.
Besides he doesn't need a super deep backstory to be nice to others. It's basic politeness.
>Deku wants to be a hero, why? Because he saw All Might on TV as a kid.
Deku's shallow reason to become a hero evolved to become a Hero for everybody who believed in him
>At least Gon is fast
So is Deku.
That's almost all battle/adventure shounen stories.
Not true because Mirio would be working on his quirk more and therefore discover the 6 much earlier than Deku.
except Mirio wouldn't asspull the 6 quirks at all since he isn't AFO's son
Better than Ichigo at least
Ochako, Tsuyu, Aoyama, Kaminari, Katsuki, Eijro, Gentle, Momo, Tokoyami, Shinso, All Might, Eri
I mean, that's wrong objectively
He's still too much of an underdog for that though
Not true. Goku, Luffy, Gon, and all the other Monkey King archetype offshoots are not portrayed as objectively morally superior to their peers. Only to villains. Yusuke, Jotaro, and other Banchou derivatives are downright morally reprehensible at first. Naruto and Deku are the rare Messiah types.
Stain, the Hero Killer who had met and murdered dozens of heroes, stops to tell Deku that only he and All Might are selfless enough to be called heroes.
And Bakugou did
That should have happend after he saved Eri. When he does that, has a big moment of actually being able to use 100%, and then still acts like he doesn't think he has what it takes to be a hero, anything that will happen after that to become a top hero is just going to feel artificial and unrealistic.
We really choose to overlook this, but Ofa is a really fucked up power
>AFO's son
Disregarded rebuttal due to signs of low intellgence
I'll give you Gentle, Shinso and Eri.
Dont be obtuse, you know Deku is AFO's son, thats how he got 6 quirks in the first place
How are you coming to that conclusion, has the manga even referenced Deku's father in any meaningful way?
You just said inspiring people do be better. Not morally superior.
>The story is about Deku inspirng other people to be better.
Wow, Kaa-chan is so amazing.
The hero happening to be BORN with an absolutely unstoppable, ridiculously overpowered ability is unironically worse and significantly more luck-heavy than coming across All Might and proving you are worthy in front of his eyes to get a different overpowered ability. Neither are good, but let's set this hierarchy in stone right fucking now.
He's the guy who's come up with "the plan" repeatedly whenever something happens. At camp he did this repeatedly and basically did everything and thought of everything because everyone else is incompetent. Every maneuver they pulled was his thought. Then they pulled him out of the hospital because they need Plan Guy to rescue Bakugo with them despite being totally injured. At which point he was the one who came up with the successful plan to get Bakugo out and enable All Might to beat AFO. AFO even knew they'd been outplayed the moment it happened and dumped the rest of the villains into a portal for his last stand. This isn't an exhaustive list, there are times at USJ, various tests, competitions, etc when he's also been the Plan Guy. It's a longstanding and consistent pattern. His direct combat tactics suck, but there are other ways to show intelligence.
No it hasn't. Hisashi is fucking nowhere. People only meme AFO is Deku's father because Horikoshi makes Star Wars references
so is the next spread of this his forearm or his leg?
Also, Ujiko being Deku's doctor links him to AfO.
This is on you mhafags, these dumb bait threads because you fall for them every single time like the gulible idiots you are. Ignore them and enjoy your dumb series ffs.
The only good explanation for Deku experiencing the singularity and coming out with 6 quirks while All Might never showed any signs is that all this time Deku had a hidden quirk and it merged with OFA once it got powerful enough. The hidden quirk was AFO since being able to use multiple quirks from other users is exactly what AFO does. AFO is Deku's dad and Deku inherited the quirk at birth which was hidden all this time until it finally merged with OFA giving Deku the ability to use the quirks of the past users.
While good panels I don't think this was an intentional callback, just an accidentally similar angle and pose that Hori probably likes.
>Deku gets beaten up and no one's opinion of him in-universe changes
>Iida's opinion on him changes during the entrance exam
>Todoroki's opinion on him changes during the sports festival
>Bakugo's opinion on him changes over a good chunk of the series, most notably their rematch
>Sir Nighteye's opinion on him changes during the Yakuza arc
>Gentle's opinion on him changes during their fight
What is it about Deku that makes Yea Forums so angry? I swear, no other Shonene MC has had this level of supposed hatred. I say supposed because at this point I think it's just a minority of shitposters keeping these kind of threads alive.
Because it's popular, and nothing makes for a better thing to shit on/troll their fans on than something that's currently a popular.
Some people have pointed out, but ultimately he's pretty shallow. He starts wanting to emulate All Might, and with Kouta, Eri, and general situations like trying to stop Gentle he's got a much more solid idea of who and how he wants to protect and save people. However at the end of the day it's the same motivation, he just has a different understanding of it. Fighting the Quirk Yakuza and Chisaki displayed some Madman Deku traits that I wish (but doubt) will be further explored, like his almost foolhardy recklessness and rage. Piggybacking Eri for a supercharge could have very easily killed him, and he was so fucking furious that he didn't care. His powers are changing, and he needs to adjust and adapt to accommodate, but like a lot of people say, that's pretty lame writing, as well as irrelevant to him developing as a character. Right now the focus hasn't been on him in a while, what with the Villains just getting an arc, as well Hawks, Endeavor, Bakugo and Todoroki getting more focus over him, or at least it feels that way. He still has potential, but for a character who's motivation is "I want to save everyone!", the unfortunate truth is that he's either got to fail like he almost did with Eri, or just continue to do his best without grappling the consequences and gravity of his reckless actions. He's ultimately a character who's driven into a bit of a corner.
I still think he's my boy though.
There are popular things that don't get as much trolling. You won't admit it, but it's because it's popular and bad.
Also, even if your self delusion was true, it still doesn't explain why the trolling is specifically about Deku.
Because deku shit mc and hori shit writer
Do MHAtards ever know what they're actually talking about?
Almost every shonen protagonist is portrayed as the most righteous person that inspires others they meet to better themselves.
Shit manga diserve hate
Samefag, same spic in every thread defending mha and calling everybody shitposters.
I don't know it bait or the real shitposter it self but if you see the past MHA thread you know deku hate will guranteed reply
But that the fact people angry i don't know the reason but if it 7 quirk they will just drop the manga then never comeback
>no other Shonene MC has had this level of supposed hatred
Naruto?
Kenshiro?
Asta people still hate him that why BCfag always say BlackClover underrated
>the real shitposter
That's you.
but he has 7 quirks, so that would make him 7D right? Not even goku had that many forms
>Kenshiro
everyone loves Kenshiro, anytime I say anything negative about him on Yea Forums I get eviscerated
literal newfag
Quirk are just power user not transformotion like other shonen MC power
woaaaaaaah
Fuckoff MHATARD
Pic related is more one dimensional
Fuckoff MHATARD
>Right now the focus hasn't been on him in a while, what with the Villains just getting an arc, as well Hawks, Endeavor, Bakugo and Todoroki getting more focus over him, or at least it feels that way
Do people just make shit up at this point?
Yes now we have deku arc again that why shitposting double this week
how does it feel to have a fictional teenager living in your head rent-free?
Idk man
>Deku
Wants to be a top hero
Wants to make All-might proud
Need to control his powers to do it
>Tanjiro
Wants to save his sister
Wants to kill big bad demon
Needs to become stronger to do it
All shounen heroes have very straightforward motivations and needs
Where would pic related rank in the professional heroes listing? He gets all his powers, so
>Stealing metaphysical properties (friction from a surface, or eyesight)
>Stealing physical objects through barriers (water from human body, air from lungs)
>Spamming bubbles as projectiles and physical barriers
>Floating bubbles
>Killer Queen's bubbles
I stop reading this bnh because of him. Not that I found anything wrong with his character, but unfortunately one for all was never a power that seemed like it could be developed in an engaging way long term. It was obvious from the get go that he'd get his own/more quirks. Or am I wrong?
MHAtards can't read. That's why they ask other anons to read it for them.
Same here. That page in the sports festival where he was fighting a guy and (what I assumed were) OfA's previous users stared back at him was when I got the gut feeling that he'd eventually get brand new quirks once he mastered his super strength.
Not a huge problem depending on how it's executed but it was still a huge turn-off.
>be MHAkek
>wake up and look at your phone
>go on Yea Forums looking for a MHA thread
>thread title: deku is a fag
>bugman brain can't understand what this means
>must be a new MHA thread
>open the thread
>see a pic of Deku crying
>start crying too
>post a reply about other shonenfags
>someone replies to (You) with two words
>rent free
>enraged by these two words you reply in anger
>uses reddit spacing so the post ends up looking like this
>start posting images you saved on your phone
>get another reply
>hunterchad.gif / KnYchad.png / BCchad.jpg / OPchad.ppt
>brain starts melting, butthurt levels critical
>can't handle it any more
>start spamming retarded posts
>close the thread
>don't know how to sage so everyone sees you sperg out
>wake up the next day and do it all over again
Is it just me or did the MHA fanbase hit critical shitposting mass recently? They are going full hunterchad
>hunterchad
It's one person and the same.
Naruto actually makes villains kill themselves, most of the time.
Because Kimetsu is the cool new thing to hate now.
>Denji
Wants to grope tits, kiss lips, and kick guys in the balls
yeah, i think i know who the best shounen protaganist in jump is right now
I don't see as much hate on Asta as Deku though. Most of the people who says they hate Asta the only reason they gave is his screaming. But with Deku, god do those haters really exaggerate his bad traits to shit on him.
It's jusy one retard autist who ways samefags.
Fucking hundreds of chapters in and you expect Deku will have any meaningful character development? Unless he pulls a Deku-san I really doubt it would sastifying if at all with all the wait we did
Despite this being an anonymous image board for some reason I can always tell when that one MHA loving ESL spic shows up. it's pretty sad tbqhwyfampai
>I don't see as much hate on Asta as Deku though.
Because nobody gives a shit about Asta or BC for that matter. Basically people already wrote him off but since MHA is still a topic of discussion people will always have something negative to say.
>Because he hasn’t had to develop as a person yet.
He did. ages ago.
Stop lying bitch. Unlike retards like Goku and Gon he actually gets some memorable character development
>Goku beat up people
Opinion discarded
He is a transparent self-insert for the audience.
