Frankly the whole problem with Yakuza arc was that it was too much fight and not enough buildup, you hardly learn anything about the yakuza other than Overhaul to even care to remember who they are. Hopefully the adaptation pads some time with some more development

Todoroki was never all that popular without Deku and Bakugou carrying him in fujoshi. His involvmlement in this manga is minimal and borderline filler.
The series can survive without Bakugou also since he is basically the main rival and always ahead of the other characters that Deku involves himself in. That won't dare ignore him like they do Todoroki becauae he actually is the star of the series.

The biggest flaw with MHA is that whenever there's a high action arc like Yakuza or Class A vs B the pacing absolutely grinds to a halt and they take months to finish because Hori just makes 13 page chapters where you can barely tell what's going on
