Maybe it's because people actually care about the characters and their relationships? It's not your standard moecancer, haremshit or shonenfaggotry that are completely retarded and made for kids. Mature series, with mature writing like Yahari, Seishun Buta Yarou and Youkoso Jitsuryoko are made for real men, not little boys and girls.

Every chapter Hachiman gets fucked in the ass by a different male from the main and supporting cast, sometimes more. At the end it turns out volume 14 was nothing more then all the scenarios Ebina came up during the series. The "winner" is revealed in one sentence in the afterword.

Secondary subhumans don't deserve Oregairu.
