Just like how it was unchangeable fate for Mitsuki-san to die, Mio viewing Yuki as only a friend is part of fate. He could use the time travel device thousands of times and she would turn his romantic confessions down every time, no matter what he says to her or does for her. Takuya takes some solace in this since he's in the Mio route, though Yuki's feelings being eternally unrequited of course applies even in the other routes.
It's not fate for her to remain infatuated with Takuya; in timelines where Takuya doesn't pick her, she moves on to other men. The only part that's fate is that Mio will never love Yuki, even though he loves her in every timeline. She's the ultimate heartbreaker.

Many details differ but the big picture is more or less the same.
Takuya didn't know yet at this point what Ryuuzouji was and went through the catacombs alone (no other rebels besides him and Amanda were left), so he let him free voluntarily after getting information in exchange. And IIRC the ancients didn't remove a piece from Earth to make Dela Granto, they made it by other means. Also IIRC the threat the ancients faced on Earth was left ambiguous.
Then there's some reordering of scenes and differing flow of plot events, e.g. Takuya was forced to flee the palace with cured!Yu-no after the Ayumi reveal, as guards everywhere wanted to kill him for trying to assassinate Ayumi. It's during this chase when he first bumps into Eriko in the city streets. The next day the situation has calmed down and Takuya and Yu-no go meet Ayumi to receive the infodumps of this episode.

No, it doesn't. The chunk they cut off would die and become a barren wasteland completely incapable of sustaining life. Not too different from the the asteroid that they were running from. It's just a chunk of rock at that point. No planet core. No center of gravity. Nothing keeping what's left of the planet alive. You pretty much just have to assume the scientists somehow found a way to keep their little chunk alive and bountiful. But that's even stupider. You have these super scientists who can cut a chunk of the Earth off, keep it both alive and habitable, and send it to another dimension to orbit that dimension's Earth. But then they all die because they have no answer to climate change. So to deal with the climate they make races of sub-humans and monsters adapted to heat and then create a medieval fantasy empire that worships a loli AI. This shit's fucking dumb, dude.
