Is Kanata no Astra the most underrated of this season?

I watched thinking it was some generic moe shit but ended up being one of the best shows I saw (over 80 animes watched) with good plot, mystery and sci-fi touch.

The only show I'm watching this season that managed to entertain me.
It's definitely worth the watch and I'd recommend to also read the manga, 5 volumes only.

>over 80
>animes
>moeshit

It's absolutely terrible, I can't believe there's people impressed by this show.

I dropped it after an episode or two. That copy and pasted mess of a writing hurts my brains. Did she really warm up and show boobs and vagene at some point?

She warmed up but no more fanservice apart from the beach episode.
The twists in this show are really good and well-thought, people dropped it too soon.

>Generic sci-fi plot
>Good

It gets pretty good after the emo tries to kill the trap.

It's excellent, seriously AOTS, I didn't realize Yea Forums wasn't hooked. Have been avoiding the threads because it's a manga adaptation and fascinating enough that I'm scared of spoilers.

Yep. Glad I didn't drop it after the first couple of episodes like I was planning to. The second half has been really fucking good.

>over 80 animes watched
Go back you fucking casual

He was honest at least. Also quality over quantity, faggot.

The plot was trash up until the clone reveal. Everything on each planet is just so conveniently in place to save their stupid ass. The last 2 episodes were okay, at least.

>the clone reveal
For fucks sake, just how many hollywood movies did this hack hack together in this piece of a shit?

Lurk more.

I liked it, but since I already read the manga didn't seem anything special to watch the anime for

It's pretty mediocre and so is manga.

yeah but I still like it

I really don't like they try to place serious plot with LOL SO RANDUMB jokes. Really destroys the mood and ambient of a lot of scenes.

And that is okay.

It even won the Taisho manga award this year, the other nominees were:
>1122, by Peko Watanabe
>Ikoku Nikki, by Tomoko Yamashita
>Kengōji-san wa Mendōkusai, by Minoru Toyoda
>Golden Gold, by Seita Horio
>Sazan to Suisei no Shōjo, by Yuriko Akase
>Delicious in Dungeon, by Ryōko Kui
>Nagi no Oitoma, by Misato Konari
>Hakumei and Mikochi, by Takuto Kashiki
>The Blue Period, by Tsubasa Yamaguchi
>Go with the Clouds, North by Northwest, by Aki Irie
>Mystery to Iu Nakare, by Rui Morita
>Metamorphose no Engawa, by Kaori Tsuritani

Dungeon Meshi was often nominated in the past but for some reason has never won.

The frequent jokes, and also Kanata and Quitterie bickering every 2 minutes in the first half, kinda broke my immersion.

It’s pretty damn good, but I have no idea how they’re going to wrap up all these loose ends in an hour
Should have been two cour at least

The show is good as long as you don't take it too seriously.
-The show has good direction, especially when it comes to pacing and presentation.
-The character interactions are pretty entertaining though each individual character is rather stereotypical.
-The plot twists are kind of ridiculous.
-The characters are overall pretty dumb, even the supposedly intelligent ones.
-The characters figure out plot twists by making wild conjectures that actually end up being true.

There's actually not that much left, and they can always cut some bits

>over 80 animes watched
That's cute.

>The show has good direction, especially when it comes to pacing and presentation.
All I remember before I dropped the show is that totally botched Gravity scene in the first or second episode. Good direction or pacing my ass. They have no fucking clue what their doing.

>-The characters figure out plot twists by making wild conjectures that actually end up being true.

It was so dumb how in the anime they decided to cut the part where Zack and Yunhua use respectively their dad's ashtray and mom's toothbrush they accidentally took with them for the trip to pull DNA samples and examinate them in order to confirm their clone theory.

is he the most based autist in all of anime history?

He's the living proof that you can get pussy even if you are an autist

Just out of curiosity, what would you consider to be good direction then?

That is still, now and forever, my boy Nekki Basara

Man I'd kill for a world like that

More underrated:

Fire Force.

I generally prefer fantasy over sci-fi but in this case I liked Kanata way more than Liza's sacred breasts
