Just like Orihime exits only to have tits on screen, Renji exit solely to be a tier one antagonist whose instantly "befriended" after defeat, a common shone trope of gathering allies. Ichigo walks around with him and his other "friends" like Chad and Ishida and they never do anything except fight fodder villains that sometime feel like they were invented literally only so they'd have someone to fight. Are you really saying the romance in MHA is differnt and Ochako is a good main female character? The romance is very minimal, it's Ochako being in love with Deku mainly, so the same as other many series, and Ochako has little protagonism in the series for being the main female.

I don't watch much shonen but shit female characters in Naruto pissed me off because their entire characters revolved around their crushes and they always play second fiddle to the male characters in every way they can even if it makes no logical sense and even if it makes them annoying/useless by proxy, even Tsunade, who is probably one of the most accomplished of the female Naruto characters ends up spending most of her tenure as kage being Naruto's bitch and getting shat on by him after Jiraiya's death and she was only chosen because Jiraiya didn't want it and because Orochimaru was too busy being evil. Not to mention that her backstory revolves mostly around Dan.

Sakura's character after becoming briefly cool after the Sasori fight (which is undercut because she needed Chiyo to win it anyways) is ruined again to make her have her crush on Sasuke regardless of how retarded it is, Hinata is bland as batshit because she revolves around Naruto so much, Konan becomes completely aimless once she loses Yahiko and Nagato and then gets killed off by Obito in about 30 seconds flat, etc.,
