They introduce SOL Tech as the corporation residing over LINK VRAINS and they left it at that. I assumed that at some point an employee would become a main villain but unless you count Go being under their employee, they didn't really do much

As much as I love Lightning, he didn't really do much. He built Bohman, got Bohman to the heavy lifting, beat three characters then got absorbed. He pretty much acted as a scapegoat for any and all problems with characters and motives. If he did something like back out of the plan then Bohman seized power, it could've been a hubris thing but he pretty much got exactly what he wanted in life to a T. He and his friends live on in The Arrival Cyberse.
