I always do it postseason but that's mostly a habit formed from watching shows weekly and having the movies not get subbed until well after the show's over anyway. that and being too lazy to look up exactly which episodes the movie aired inbetween. Unless it's something really blatant (like Kamen Rider Den-O for example though I know that isn't precure) I just can't be bothered to look it up.

'Series-based' movies are released much later (generally around the 35th episode or later)

As someone that was in the same boat as you until I started precure with ST, a good time.
I'd also recommend picking up an older season to watch inbetween waiting for new episodes once you catch up with Star Twinkle, if that's your thing. It's a lot like rider in that the seasons aren't connected (outside of two sequel seasons from the early days) so just pick one with the character you think is coolest or cutest or whatever and dive right in.

I finished marathoning Suite. It was pretty good, the last arc wasn't my favorite but I particularly liked the middle episodes with Ellen on the team. They had a nice team dynamic. The early episodes were decent too, at least when the villains were coming up with schemes instead of just showing up randomly to fight. I thought the music was another high point of the series since the OPs and EDs were great and the other music in the show was fitting. I'm listening to the character songs now and they're even more impressive.

I think I'm going to watch Futari Wa next, the recent poll makes me feel like it's about time.
If I have to choose one I guess I like Ellen the best. Her mind control went on a bit too long but she was amusing even as a villain and adorable once she joined the team.
I think Kanade is a decent supporting character and I liked her relationship with Hibiki but I feel like she's not quite complete. Like her obsession with Ouji, it was there at the start and it's still there at the end with no progress (unless I missed something). On the bright side she's the prettiest cure as Rhythm and her voice is really nice.
Suite should have had some insert songs, the vocal albums are the best I've heard.

Yeah, that's pretty much what I thought. After the first half she didn't argue much with Hibiki and was mostly passive throughout the second half. I felt she was boring and with you having just finished I thought you could have given me a different insight. Also apparently Suite's tone was changed midway to be more fun and less dramatic because of the 2011 tsunami, so that might have had an effect on the viewing experience

If I'm remembering right, the first time user ever put /pc/ memery in his subs was the Dokidoki movie with Ace. Doremi didn't catch it even though they find-and-replaced some other things to match their own subs (like fairy names and transformation callouts), so this line actually made it into the Doremi release too. I don't think they ever did a v2 of it, either.

I didn't say they were bad, I just thought they had better first halves. Fresh especially because the first half was pretty much perfect but in the second Miki, Buki, and Soular became complete afterthoughts. I didn't hate any individual episode but they didn't shine quite as much for me. The final 6 episodes were fantastic though.
The second half of FW's biggest problem is it lacks the great character development Nagisa and Honoka had in the first half. After the Dark King is defeated once they've basically completed their arcs already. The villains are a bit more interesting than most of the first half's but they still don't have someone like Kiriya, who not only had an arc himself but was integral to one of the Cure's arcs. The episodes in general also didn't stand out as much to me, but this is more a matter of opinion. Also, Porun.

It's really not that complicated, user. The fairies grant the powers to the cures. It's explicitly stated and explained on multiple occasions in Splash Star in a couple of their lore dumps both early on and later when they're talking about the other two fairies and the new powers, not to mention being animated in the henshin itself every time. It's how Bright and WIndy are able to join in for the last fight at all.
The two younger fairies that grant the powers of Bright and Windy almost died. There's a whole flashback sequence about it right before Michiru and Kaoru's initial sacrifice.

Yes 5 has five cream cures. There are, yes, five cures with the same color profile. They don't get their full colors until GoGo redesigns. This is also represented in the character growth of the cures over the seasons and the flower motif. They don't come into bloom until season two.
