It has only been one arc since then, but the general idea is that they are training by dealing with a bunch of hard to deal with but low risk shit.
As I recall, The current one is a book that isekais you, and they have to go in it to deal with it where they get immediately get tricked into being slaves by some catgirl (and quite possibly the most detestable character in the entire series, despite the author trying super hard to make her being sympathetic). At this point it is just the typical kind of "super powerful people somehow can't deal with the slave owner because magic" thing for a while that feels like it is out of a bad doujin.
The problem I guess, is that in addition to be both boring and infuriating, the fanservice has taken on a much more violent tone, with characters getting violently tortured. Each to their own, I guess, but most people I have heard the opinions on are just super fed up with it.
