It's an idol franchise but the actual story isn't about idols, like Milky Holmes. So it's no surprise, really.

Maybe. I still don't know how they did it.

BD subs when?

They aren't idols.

For #2 Revival? The BD has to come out first. I don't know how much is just the change in staging or if there are a bunch of new songs and say more than 10% of the dialogue's been changed, so it depends, but I estimate anywhere between 1-3 weeks after release.

That would be Bang Dream.

>stage show theater fights
>idols

Her show's still airing this season, user.

They have concerts in real life

Y-Yeah but they have mock sword fights so it doesn't count.

That's not necessary nor sufficient to make something an idol anime though.

Not that user but Revue Starlight is idolshit because the anime is part of an idol franchise that has idol concerts and advertises itself with seiyuushit that idolscum eat up. Revue Starlight the anime is not an idol anime, but Revue Starlight is idolshit.

I thought they did stage plays.

They also do idol concerts. In fact, Act 2 of all the stage plays is an idol concert.

They do both. There's a concert happening later this year that works in the schools of the game to rescue them before the game inevitably closes

Call me idolshit again fuckboi

Don't have to, insect.

Reminder that Nana kisses girls for gay roles!

The school in Revue Starlight is based off of the Takarazuka Revue, which seem to be idols in all but name
>en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Takarazuka_Revue
>Some fans demonstrate their loyalty to a particular performer by joining her fan club. Club members can be identified by their wearing scarves of a particular color or even jackets colorfully embroidered with the star's name. Following performances at the Takarazuka Grand Theatre or Tokyo Takarazuka Theatre, as many as several hundred fans congregate in their various club groups and stand in orderly ranks on either side of the street in front of the theatre.

Isn't revival already out?

Not #2 Revival, no. Release date is around Christmas.

>to rescue them before the game inevitably closes
Wait, Seriously?
Well, I guess that's what they get for keeping their character and item gacha as one instead of separating them.

Not really, but the game has been doing really poorly and ATeam seems like it isn't interested in putting the effort to fix the issues the game has.

Starry Diamond (the new concert) will have story bits written by the lyricist for the anime and the line ups for the revues look like they're gonna have significant plot development for the game casts which strikes me as Bushi trying to cover it's bases in case the game fails but they don't want to drop everything about it

This is correct.

LITERALLY soulless

This

It's got more soul put into it than shit like Idolm@ster.

Yet somehow less than Love Live

Cinderella maybe but not the OG one.

The original Love Live unironically had a ton of soul sometimes. No wonder the director moved on to make something as nice as A Place Further than the Universe.

>director
Script and series composition, not director and nothing to do with music.

Revue Starlight anime = NGE anime
Plays = NGE manga
ReLive = Rebuilds

The direction was good too though.
It turned
>"I'm going to try this!"
>smash cut to the aftermath of disastrous attempt to do this
into an art form and the visual and audio cues that took the viewer on this journey were perfectly timed and executed as well.

Are there any other anime where they sing while they're fighting outside of Revue Starlight and Symphogear?

Macross.

IT'S
BUTAI

For me it's Nana
The Phos of butai shoujos

But she did
That's what makes it good

Reminder that in play canon Nana has never lost a fight and wasn't actually on the back foot or anything when Karen came by to make sure she and Hisame were okay.

Why did /vg/ have to kill starlight threads on Yea Forums

I don't browse /u/ but there's a general there that's mostly okay.

Good Nana, you look kind of cool!

Kill yourself.

My girlfriend Nana is so cute.

she says thanks

Love Live destroys it.

The /u/ is either dead or super passive aggressive and it's stupid.

This but unironically

Why is Maya/Claudine so popular when they have the least interesting dynamic of any of the ships?

Because it's literally a yaoi rival ship but as girls. And fuck no they have the most interesting dynamic.

Attached: IMG_20190915_151021.jpg (1143x486, 93K)

Go rape some b gumis already

Play Nana also regularly cheats on Junna with Hisame

starlighto
DAIKIRAIIIII

And Maya literally only pretended to lose so she could make Claudine jealous.

Idols are sluts. These girls aren't.

Karen and Junna probably sucked dick to get into Seisho

Karen is too stupid to even suck Mahiru's dick, she was let in as a joke.

>ATeam
Of course the game will be dead, they're bunch of retards.

There's hardly any other place for slow/dead franchises to have a thread.

Assuming the game does close down, what would they do with all the material they've done for it? Of course the other schools aren't as good as the main one but they're fun enough and I'm decently invested in their story lines so far.

No way we'll get a completely new game so I hope they do manga instead.

Where is the Nana with the opera mask from? The plays?

Attached: 76423403_p0.png (960x1440, 1.28M)

Game. It had a Phantom of the Opera even with Nana as the Phantom and Junna as Christine. It was super gay.

as said from the gacha game, i originally never planned on getting sucked in but my desire to see more things with the butais sucked me right in to the cesspit of gacha

The game is a tire fire but it's easy enough to coast by it's fights to get the story content (which is what truly matters).

I just don't know what's gonna happen after they finish with the new main story updates and we get Starry Diamond.

This doesn't feel like an idol show but suprisingly the only idolshit series I enjoyed is the Mii-show this season

>idolshit series with soul
AKB0048

You are thinking of PriPara, but Revue is good too.

i need to keep sight of the fact that im mainly in it for story and other interactions, but the gacha brainworm already has made me yearn for 4star pulls like sun maya and earth goddess yachiyo
even though i kinda like the gacha OCs its kinda hard to really care about them unless they interact with seisho

Banana posting should be banned.

>No way we'll get a completely new game so I hope they do manga instead.

Frankly, I would like a new anime, but Kinema Citrus seems to be too busy with Made in Abyss and more season of Shield Hero

here's the other one

Attached: 1557545893709.png (2560x1440, 3.53M)

What are the chances of the game just straight up switching developers?

MahiSuzu > any other Mahiru ship

suzu is part of the harem and sometimes is favored for not being the tard of the harem

>its kinda hard to really care about them unless they interact with seisho
Yeah, that's why for Starry Diamond they're using Seisho characters to prop up at least one major game plot line (the fall out of the sisters) and multiple potentially important character moments.

>le soul soulless Yea Forums meme
Love Live is better tho
3dpd.
Fuck off with your fat pigs to /jp/ this is a 2d board

What do you mean

Attached: illust_74715854_20190823_192119.png (750x1024, 684K)

I wish the anime portrayed Nana a little bit crazier like in the manga. Bonds of the Stars is such a god tier song until Karen starts singing because of the creepiness

Game might be hot garbage but I'm glad it keeps on giving cool costumes for artists to draw fanart of every now and then. In a way it would make me a bit sad to see it being closed specially after buying a couple of passports and I would mostly miss the fanart that pops up whenever a new unit is released or a new event story drops.

on principal i will never let myself spend real bux on gacha
then again i said that to myself about even playing at all yet here i am with maxed out 4stars and a 5star so far and only trying to get more

>I don't like idols but...

Attached: le lesbian face.png (450x449, 171K)

Played the first few weeks of the game just too see Phantom event, then quit. Can't imagine how can anyone spend hundreds or thousands of dollars on this shit.

Junna tops

Attached: 1554854246214.jpg (843x1111, 163K)

It was a real no brainer for me, 140 stars a day from the passport means nearly tripling your daily income for stars excluding event drops and I've also spent my fair share of money on other games, with Warframe probably going up to 60 bucks over the 800 hours I've played which is the price of a normal game when you think about it.
By comparison spending about 10 dollars on the monthly passport isnt that big of a deal and considering I had watched the anime twice and seen all the plays by then I didnt mind it being a bit "expensive" as show some support for Revstar just like I didnt mind paying up small sums of money now and then on other games I had played for hundreds of hours too.
It got me nowhere near being a whale in terms of power as I still got no relevant units from the event banners but it did ease my frustration at barely getting any premium currency and feeling I would never get anything.
I wont be buying any more passports after this one expires however as they're really pushing too hard on the monetization, a couple of events ago some new story bits were released tied to cosmetic items you had to pull A LOT for and I dont support that in any way considering most people play for the story as the gameplay is lacking on a lot of aspects.
Considering the plays are still pretty popular and they are introducing the mobage schools to the play-verse I dont see the game dying as being too harsh on the franchise; and there will always be whales anyways.

ugh i forgot about the fucking swimsuit story bullshit, but i still have a good deal of regular story so i guess I'll play til im out of that stuff, currently got to the disappearance of tendo maya story

Not really.

Stop sucking mod cock.
