Here, let me explain why Carrot was introduced:
Oda didn't want the whole crew to go to WCI, because he didn't want to make SH vs BM and that's because he planned Wano all along. WCI was merely a training for Luffy. Given that half of the crew wasn't going to be there, he was given supporting characters like Pedro, Carrot, Gastino and Bege. None of them is joining the crew or getting any more time in Wano. Bege indeed is getting a backstory, Gastino might get some as well. Carrot later on as she goes back to Zou. She's not joining. Oda wanted 10 characters as main cast, he has 10 and they are hard to write outside the initial 5. Only Brook has found some consistency while Robin, Chopper, Franky struggle. Jinbe is written off constantly because he doesn't fit except for the final role Oda has in mind for him.

Enma is a sword that waa forged with the intent of harm, and it reflects in how it acts, it is a "bloodthirsty" sword.
Wado on the other hand, does not show any of the qualities of a cursed sword.
Thus, if we assume that Koshiro is a family member of this swordsmith at the minimum, and he learned from him, then it is obvious that Wado was made after Enma, as it follows the cycle of maturity, and learning to still oneself from rage. And this shows in Koshiro's lessons which as an old man, must have learned and followed the same path as the swordsmith.

The reason why Wado doesn't shiwcase as much power has already been pointed out by Koshiro, it is a sword made to protect, not to harm, unlike Enma. Zoro will learn how to control his rage and unlock the true potential of Wado.

But that doesn't mean he's in any way involved in writing. Oda is also credited for anime as original creator. Heck, even movie he wrote isn't part of the canon, so even if he worked on the novel himself it would not necessarily be canon.

Yeah, I generally tend to take those with a griain of salt. Oda probably provides some info, but it's mostly actually written by someone else, so you may end up with stuff like Reiju's devil fruit.

It's obvious, isn't it? You pointed it out yourself, there are more skills to train in One Piece than just Haki. Margaret has learned haki but not as many other combat skills as Luffy has. Katakuri hasn't put as many points into CoA as Sentomaru has, but Katakuri would beat Sentomaru in a fight because he's spent more time on other skills. So invisible haki isn't about "talent," it's about what the person has chosen to focus on and whether they were able to learn it from someone.

One Piece world is basically balanced so that, if it were a game, no matter what you put your skill points into, if you spend the same amount of time, you'll get just about as strong. You can amp up your DF skills and learn awakening, or you can not even have a DF and bulk up and learn haki, those people can have the same final strength.
