Season 2 wasn't that bad. The animation was definitely a big downgrade from S1, but I think people blew it out of proportion. Everything else was there, VA, music, story, other than Genos' metal effect on his body. I would have preferred the original team did S2 if for nothing else than just wanting a consistent feel to the show.

Are you fuking kidding me? The sound direction was atrocius, some of the worst ever heard in anime, as was the pacing, the usage of the OST, those horrible gradients on the characters, the blurry CGI backgrounds, everything I can think of.

The main director has never been a main director. All his credentials are mostly as assistant or animation director. His first main direction anime was an ecchi anime...no one remembers it or cares.
The Jojo sound director is known for using the weirdest of sounds though how he fucked up so bad here I can only atest to that his skills better suited for just Jojo and the fact the production was rushed as hell and put in an under talented staff. Not only sound but weird color and art choices too.
