>This year's 41st issue of Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine revealed on Monday that writers NisiOisin and Yūto Tsukuda, and artist Shun Saeki are collaborating on a new romantic comedy manga titled Jump Rabucome Matsuri (Jump Rom-Com Festival) that will appear in the magazine's next issue on Saturday. The wording in the announcement indicates the manga will be a one-shot.
>NisiOisin is a prolific writer best known for his Monogatari Series of novels, many of which have received anime adaptations by Shaft. He also wrote the Zaregoto and Katanagatari light novel series, the Medaka Box, and the Jūni Taisen novel, all of which inspired anime.
>Tsukuda and Saeki launched Food Wars! Shokugeki no Soma in Weekly Shonen Jump in 2012, and it ended its run in Weekly Shonen Jump in June. Shueisha's Jump Giga magazine published a three-chapter Shokugeki no Sōma: Le dessert epilogue manga
I only read a few chapters when someone would dump them here but it sounded like the complaints about the series were that it wasn't about retarded power levels and people fighting. then it turned into a battle shonenshit but it was "ironic" so everyone said it was good. these were probably the same idiots who complained the chicken nuggies chapters in souma were filler.
>animenewsnetwork Fuck off, ANN is a garbage SJW ridden website.
James Garcia
Hopefully it's 99% Nisio and 1% Tsukuda.
Aaron Reed
>Tsukuda
Nope; into the trash. Rotten apple spoils the whole bushel. Tsukuda is unforgivable for what he did.

>it ended its run in Weekly Shonen Jump in June How bad was the ending? I quit reading when it just sucked, something about another tournament in Hokkaido or whatever, but I heard it went batshit to the point of no return some time later.

I miss Medaka so damn much, Shounen Shoujo scratched my Medaka itch so damn good, too bad it was short as hell.
Nathan Gutierrez
Medaka Box always felt like a dumping ground for ideas Nisio couldn't fit in anywhere else. It never felt like there was a plan to anything; just that it incoherently jumped from one arc to the next and sometimes got creative with it.
Joseph Robinson
>El Hermano plot twist >actual nen powers >"evil" chefs from the cooking underworld >the curse of the god tongue The final arc was a shitshow to say the least
Figured that hack was in bed with Nisio after that AWFUL haircut he gave Erina Was almost as bad as Medaka's haircut. ALMOST
Ian Wilson
It's just a one-shot, so it's not the same as watching someone build up 100+ chapters just to tear it all down in the end.
Jace Davis
>one shot Damn, I got excited for a moment. Tosh is a good artist but can't write a story to save his life. And I loved the fuck out of Medaka Box, so having NisiOisin writing another manga would be fucking great. Maybe it will be popular enough or they'll have good enough chemistry that they decide to keep working together.
Aiden Richardson
Wow-y, TWO hacks on one manga? Wow, that sounds GREAT
