Who would have thought that Hunterniggers are also fans of Retard:Zero.

What do you mean? You don't like how Rem has been in a coma for 6 years now? Or how the arc dedicated to bringing her back has taken 4 years (it started in 2015, last chapter posted was on the 6th)?
A masterpiece of shit

Well, I get that a lot of people are annoyed with Subaru, since some of his decisions are retarded and don't make any sense (since they are kinda forced to move the plot forward). But I still like it, and its my favorite isekai.
Now this is obviously subjective, but I hate the game mechanics a lot of isekai have, I just don't find it emersive. Also, most MC's are pretty overpowered, or have supporting characters that tell them everything they need to know without doing anything for that information. Subaru literally has to struggle to get people to give him information because he usually has to give something in return.
I like that he can be broken because of events/characters around him and that everything in the world forces him to understand that this wasn't made for him and without effort he won't achieve anything.
As far as the waifu baiting goes, I like both Rem and Emilia. I do like Emilia slightly more, but I dislike hoe Subaru is just borderline obsessed with her sometimes, which I guess can be blamed on Tappei since I saw a few interviews and what he thinks of Emilia's character was pretty clear. Right now I am reading arc 4, so who knows what I can expect.
I guess a lot of death, but I am more scared that they will give season 2 like 12-14 eps or something and it will turn out badly. I can still hope I guess... (Sorry for any grammatical errors btw).
*How
Why the fuck does he give so much shit about Emilia, he should be more concerned about how he got into that world.
I know, it's pretty strange. I didn't get to it yet, but I heard arc 4 will give more development into his relationship with his parents and his life with them/before getting isekai'd.
>he should be more concerned about how he got into that world.
I also heard that in arc 5 or 6 it will be explained. The whole thing about return by death and so on. We will have to wait and see I guess.
I like to think the curse in him basically brainwashes him into being "obsessed" with Emilia and Mitsubishi is too retarded to tell the difference between love and obsession.
I know it won't happen, but it would be hilarious if the author made him instantly see Emilia only as a friend or outright despise her if the curse were removed.
I don't think it's a curse or something. Don't get me wrong, his love is very fucking obsessive. But I read a few of the IF stories, and some of them explored what happened after he died in certain worlds.
In that one where Rem killed him in the hallway for example, Emilia found out about it the next day and took Subaru's body in the woods and she buried it, or something along those lines, also leaving behind Roswaal and the election because of it, so Emilia really isn't a bad girl.
So I really don't think he has any curse, it's just Tappei doing his stuff and all that because she wants to get Emilia more fleshed out. I guess he wasn't expecting the Rem explosion when it came to the popularity. But it's fine with me at least, I like them both so I don't really complain, but I totally understand why others would and do.
In the 1st season of the anime, the MC's character growth was pretty amazing, but it was horrific too. I think only Berserk and the Seal of Nehahra have characters that are remotely similar in depth and extremes. Everything else about the anime is just middle of the road shit as usual.
I just finished reading the latest issue of the LN and so a few things here: Not only may Subaru actually be connected to this world even prior to the story we're getting, he and Emillia/Satella had a bond of sorts in the past that Emilia/Satalla is obsessed with due to Subaru 'helping' her in some way and it's why she tries to keep him alive and just wants him to take care of himself rather than sacrifice his life and sanity for others constantly, but Subaru and his negative self-esteem places everyone he care for above himself despite his insistence on being no more than a selfish piece of shit, he doesn't have a single selfish bone in his body or desires of his own. His obsession with Emilia is of genuine love, whatever his past bond with Satella was, and also something similar to Araragi and Kissshot's scene where Araragi is willing to die to protect someone he views as being beautiful and worthy of living and he as a ugly, lesser being's only worth in life could be to protect this beautiful and worthy thing at the cost of everything. Which is sad because all Satella wants of Subaru is to just live for and love himself but he just seems utterly incapable of doing so no matter how what she says to him or how much he suffers he just keeps coming back to save her and everyone else at the cost of himself.
>he should be more concerned about how he got into that world.
He pretty much gave up on his own world due to feeling like a failure and waste of life to both of his wonderful parents, and thought of this new Isekai was his second chance and jumped at it without thinking. He very much intentionally blocks out thoughts about his parents and the hows and whys of coming to this world and when he does think of his parents he can only think on how much better their lives are now that their worthless son is out of the picture no longer embarrassing them(this isn't the case they both love the hell out of him very much but Subaru is so wrapped up in his negative perception of himself he's completely blind to it and just attributes any affection placed on him from them as them just being 'wonderful people'). When he gets to see his dad for a bit, he breaks down about how he feels he was such a waste of life for the both of them and failure as he was he didn't deserve to even be their son. Shit's actually really sad.
Okay, I'm kinda afraid to read any of this, since as I stated I am still reading arc 4 and I might get spoiled. But thanks for the input !
ah shit man, sorry didn't read that part. my bad but yeah long story short almost everything about Subaru and Emilia gets explained down the line so just be patient and enjoy the ride.

Definitely my main fucking complaint about the series. Its plot moves at a fucking snails pace.
Wrong. Subaru doesn't love Emilia. Subaru actually loves big fat cock after he got raped so many fucking times.
tbf, the author does have a lot of ground to cover and says they constantly have to go back and read earlier stuff they wrote so they don't go and accidentally fuck stuff up since there's so much they have to keep in mind when moving the plot forward and they really care about their readers getting a satisfactory story that doesn't contradict itself.
Hah, knew it.

Is his sloth hand useful for anything besides giving himself a stranger?
Well that's a good thing. I feel like there would be a more efficient way to take notes of things though that didn't require rereading.
Damn it. Stop posting this

They should have already built a codex to help build the storyboard, seems weird to not have one. You just update it as you go so its not much effort if done properly.
It’s not even a contained story
Ep. 22 or whatever is pretty godlike in a vacuum but it’s not enough. The show as a whole is worth a watch but not exceptional.
