Koga is due for a win, since his Kengan entrance exam is coming up, and him failing would not advance the story in a meaningful way.
What's left is to see if his match will happen before or after Ryuki's match. And since both matches appear important, I don't think they'd be each contained in a single chapter.

No but the gap will close once he gets CENTIPEDE'D. Ryuki will stomp Koga for the Kengan team spot (This is the test Kazzy was talking about for the both of them. Only one of them can make it.) and Koga will get coaxed into joining Purgatory's team thinking this will close the gap. This will also give the mangaka an excuse to develop Purgatory's fighters before they corrupt Koga.
