>AOTY
More like shit of the year.

Attached: 1567699044899.png (293x238, 64K)

Not really, Babylonia is mostly boring trash with a terrible cast.

I don't even play the game, so it'll be lost on me.

Not even the Nasushit of the year.

The only thing you need to know is that Gilgamesh found something more deadly than inexplicably ginger Japanese teen: paperwork.

Next Generation

Attached: Gudao 333111333111333.jpg (1517x1339, 415K)

>Babylonia
>Most of the heroic spirit characters aren't even from Babylonian mythology

Why is fate so shit with history?

How can they get away with it?

>asking a question that's answered in the game

Because they're summoned servants

New goods

Attached: IMG_1349.jpg (392x442, 116K)

Fate is not history documentary
Fate is action adventure fantasy
Got it ?

Couldn't they atleast add characters that actually fits in that chapter instead of Merlin, Quetzalcoatl and Medusa?

Attached: IMG_1350.jpg (405x516, 144K)

>Merlin
Literally relevant to the larger plot of Solomon.

Attached: IMG_1351.jpg (490x787, 263K)

>Gilgamesh
>Kingu
>Ishtar
>Ereshkigal
>Siduri
>Tiamat
There are plenty of Babylonian characters too

But what does he have to do with desert mythologies?

Attached: IMG_1352.jpg (451x544, 175K)

Did you even play the game?

u w8 m8? What part of "Merlin is a major part of the entire Part 1" do you not get?

Attached: IMG_1353.jpg (445x528, 137K)

They are overshadowed by foreign characters
Stopped after Roman arc, got bored by all of the dialogue

Not really though. Gil and Ishtar have a lot of screentime.

Attached: IMG_1354.jpg (556x452, 152K)

No wonder you are so full of shit.

>Stopped after Roman arc, got bored by all of the dialogue
Maybe don't complain about stuff if you don't even know what's going on.

MASH A CUTE

>E Pluribus Unum
>None of the Heroic Spirits were around during 1776.

>AOTY
Jojo Part 5 aired this year you know.

Besides I don't care about any future plotshit for Fate. As far as i'm concerned it capped out and closed itself nicely with Extra and CCC. Grand Order itself is largely a mistake anyway and misuses the concept, going full history mode instead of an actually interesting war and has the fanbase cherry picking the fuck out of it to appreciate it.
It'll be nothing but flavor of the season.

Attached: asspussies.jpg (500x500, 42K)

Ishtar is still rin.
Shirou is just as boring as gudao
Saber is still in FGO without her falls so hard in love in only 7 days with an autisic ginger that she is willing to wait for all eternity bullshit

It's almost as if the main plot is about stopping the villain who is deliberately distorting history by creating a twisted timeline.

>Jojoshit
>best anything

Attached: 1568011563319.png (611x755, 499K)

>Fate anime without any Saberface
wow

>closed itself nicely with Extra and CCC
Anyone who actually likes Extra series isn't in any position to shit on FGO. If anything, Extra series is the point where Nasu went full retard.

Or should I say outnumbered. I could forgive Merlin for whatever reason but why the rest?
You can't force me, I rather take answers from autists who are engaged with this game.

>for whatever reason but why the rest?
If only the game told you.

Mob Psycho season 2 was this year, so I doubt it'll be AOTY. I'm still looking forwards to it though.

in terms of design and voice only, is Fujimaru (male) the best male protagonist of Fate ?

Play FGO and find out yourself

No. Hakuno's design is better.

I, for one, am hyped about King Hassan. Can't wait for the amount of Ainz vs King Hassan memes coming out when Gramps appears in the animu and shows of his badassness, along with his showing in Camelot.

Attached: _assassin_assassin_female_assassin_king_hassan_and_true_assassin_fate_grand_order_fate_prototype_fat (703x1040, 147K)

>Ultra satan fucks up timelines to resett everything
>WHY ARE THERE SERVANTS THAT ARE NOT FROM BABYLON??????

Because quetz and Gorgon Are OP as fuck and raise his chance of winning. The others are summoned bis Gil and Merlin is a major plot dude in the story.

Come on, I don't wanna spend another same shit missions that took me days to complete

You know they are gonna call bullshit on him right?

Just watch the cutscene on youtube, idiot.

Then what's the point of having an arc theme if everything is just gonna be a cluster fuck?

Making Enkidu female is the biggest slap in the face that F/GO has done in regards to changing historical genders.

>black hair & blue eyes
>voiced by Shimazaki Nobunaga
Yes. Though i think Shirou, Hakuno and Sieg all look cute anyway.

Attached: IMG_1299.jpg (768x1024, 90K)

user... Enkidu isn't female

>enkidu
>female

Attached: 1550385338144.png (483x508, 143K)

I told you, I got bored by the dialogue. It's all blah blah blah blah blah, no real plot into it.

>Enkidu
>female

Attached: smug mudman.jpg (380x380, 101K)

>shirou
>boring

Enkidu is male. He just has long hair.

Oh maybe just shut up if you never played the game. They literally explain it all.

>clay comes in genders now
Who knew? What will they think of next?

Attached: 1512224845118.jpg (1000x1000, 117K)

cute Hassan

Attached: IMG_0713.jpg (876x798, 510K)

It ain’t gay if it’s clay

I never thought I'll see the day when FGO fags get to be smug over secondaries.

Enkidu is supposed to be a Gil clone.

Spooky gramps is gonna appear? I might reconsider watching this.
Also, SHUTEN WHEN?

>fate
it's shit

Their fault for watching this in the first place.

Attached: 1548832110861.png (1229x953, 1.26M)

>One of the oldest heroes described in the Epic of Gilgamesh. A weapon manufactured by the gods. Originally, it was “a clay work that could transform into anything” produced by the gods. It phantasmagorically changes its shape in accordance with circumstances. Its whole body is equivalent to a weapon of gods. However, it does not have the same mentality or emotions as people, and at first it was not all that different from a wild beast.

It has been said that, after appearing on this world, it became aware of much by meeting with a single sacred prostitute and eventually choose to take the shape of a person (as its basic form). This appearance is something modeled after said sacred prostitute out of respect.
Notice no 'he' or 'she' or 'xir' but lots of "it"

Attached: 1544245543672.png (334x500, 322K)

Old Geezer's moment isn't even that great. He just turn up and go, mmkay tiamat you actually can die now. The main hype moment is still by the King of Heroes.

>he doesnt know

Attached: __ereshkigal_gilgamesh_ishtar_jaguarman_king_hassan_and_others_fate_grand_order_and_fate_series_draw (850x1204, 410K)

How the fuck do you even know who King Hassan IS if you don't know his role in singularity 7?

Imagine not being able of understanding how servants work.

>This appearance is something modeled after said sacred prostitute out of respect.
This is nowhere in the actual text.

By knowing him because of his aesthetic only.

Gudao is even blander than Hakuno.
I'll never understand why they always choose the male protagonist. Of course the female versions are also bland, but at least they're cute.

In the Epic of Gilgamesh both Gilgamesh and Enkidu are described as being beautiful using words that the sumarian language only appropriately uses for women. They were stunningly attractive to both women and men. Both Gil and Enkidu were absolute bishies.

Speaking of FGO and nasuverse. I noticed some interesting myth/concept that can be used in nasuverse. Voynich manuscript. A lot of potential here.
>en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Voynich_manuscript
tl;dr it's ancient book or mystification written by still unknown language.

Attached: Voynich_Manuscript_(158).jpg (1536x1494, 383K)

Ishtar describes Gilgamesh as rugged and vigorous. They're manly as fuck.

>OH MY GRAND TITLE
Just wait, we'll be submerged by retards that know shit about FGO and Fate in general.

Tell me, autist

>I might reconsider watching this.
If you're going to watch it only for him, you're going to be disappointed.

I meant the actual epic. Not their excuse to make Enkidu look like waifubait, retard. That should have been obvious to you if you had any reading comprehension.

>muh historical accuracy
When will you faggots learn?

>I'll never understand why they always choose the male protagonist.
Well the main heroine is female and nips like it, so...
Also for FGO it's also because of Shimazaki Nobunaga i guess ? He's a big TMfag and in FGO Fes, Kobayashi Yuu said that when she went to the recording, both Nasu and other staff told her that "if there's anything you don't understand, just ask Shimazaki Nobunaga". Using Gudako means they will have to hire another seiyuu for her too.

Cope.

Attached: 1568147170140.jpg (1024x768, 77K)

Shitty cast, artstyle and plot from gacha
Give me one reason why it won't be just as bad or even worse than Last Encore

Attached: 1568090417864.png (1072x885, 1.15M)

>I'll never understand why they always choose the male protagonist
Because yuri is shit and female MC sucks.

>hre another seiyuu
They make literally billions, I don't see how this could be a problem.

Your original post was calling Enkidu a female in FGO which I was correcting with actual text from his in game background. Then you called out bs which I provide multiple sources.
>I-I meant the actual epic dummy!
Whatever user. You showed me.

No she doesn't. I have three translations of the Epic of Gilgamesh open right now and in Tablet VI the word they use is beauty. They never use the masculine terms appropriate for "rugged", though a more boyish use is seen in Tablet I, more appropriately translated to "handsome youth".
They are paragons of sumerian culture, and sumerians were sex addicted bisexuals.

>shitty cast
explain

>Lizposting comes to Yea Forums
Finally. We'll save this shitty board.

Attached: 1536503615803.png (750x975, 872K)

The actual epic is a work of fiction faggot. There are different interpretations. It's no different than making Hermione black.

Nobody's forcing you to watch. Just go back to /tmg/, grandpa, if all you want to do is talk about muh good old days when TM was good.

They ain't ready for that yet

Attached: liz love!!.jpg (1400x944, 782K)

>plot from gacha
>Shitting on Babylonia without knowing shit about it and only because it's from a gacha
Like the retarded NA translation would say: YIKES.

Well I have the original untranslated text and I know cuneiform. I don't care about your fan translations.

Somehow, I don't think you do.

Please, let me have hope. They've made more than 3 billions, I want to believe that they've spent at least a decent amount on this adaptation.

It will still be more entertaining than the anime you posted.

We gonna drown Yea Forums just like the chaos tide drowned uruk.

You don't know cuneiform so what would be the point? Now concede to me and apologize for wasting my time.

im hyped for gil regaining the dtrongest servant spot by being the only heroic spirit to kill a beast

fuck off, crossboarder

Not that user, but Joshikousei no mudazukai is actually really good.

So? What, did you think people only post image macros from shows they like?

Sorry, grandpa. Anyway, it's time for your meds.

Attached: Kishuku Gakkou no Juliet - 03_17.26.jpg (548x576, 57K)

Didn't they fuck up last time they did something fate based on a game that was story friendly for everyone? How do you expect this to be any different from the trainwreck extra last encore was?

Attached: IMG_20190401_152805.jpg (531x539, 83K)

You deserve it, faggot, even if liz is cute.

>dies to paperwork
>strongest
At least last time he lost to some nip kid with weirdass magic. This time he died to some mundane paperwork like some weakass nip salaryman.

Attached: 1526458418486.png (512x728, 199K)

Last encore wasn't even an adaptation. It was an entirely different and new version of Extra.

>OH NO A SCHOOL TEACHER PLEASE DON T HURT ME

Caster Gil is his historical form. He is not even a servant here as the singularity occurs during his lifetime. Servants are stronger than their original selves.

Seethe.

Just admit you fell for the Akkadian statues, which were built literally a thousand fucking years after the Epic of Gilgamesh was written, in accordance with Akkadian standards of beauty instead of Sumerian.

The akkadians were smarter so their interpretation was probably more accurate.

But then strolled out of the underworld. Apparently, according to Eresh, Gil basically comes and goes as he pleases from the place.

>Servants are stronger than their original selves.
It changes from servant to servant. All servants from the age of gods are weaker than when they were alive, for example.

MC will make this unbearable. Can't wait for 24 episodes of him hiding behind rocks and getting all the credit while the Servants do all the work

Originally Last Encore was written as a novel, but then they decided to adapt it into a 1 cour anime. That's why Last Encore Your Score scriptbook is a thing.

(Archer) Gil is stronger as a Servant due to his GoB gaining a conceptual ability. While he was a live he was a wellspring of mana and could probably spam Ea more but he literally never does that so it's not really relevant. He doesn't have any mana issues as a Servant.

Attached: 1537299890544.jpg (552x568, 30K)

>dies
>just walks out of the underworld, several times in fact according to Eresh
based

>Akkadians were smarter in their "interpretation" than the people who actually wrote the damn thing
So you're just complaining that the game does not conform to Akkadian fanfiction?

All me btw. Nice /vg/ reaction images.

>one month of /alter/, /fgog/ and /tmg/
Shame Camelot are two movies but at least 24 episodes are enough to enjoy these festering shitfests of threads.

>Case Files threads were largely super comfy and full of good lore discussions
>FGO anime threads are full of shitposting fun and festering malice
I enjoy this very much

or weaker since class container makes them only able to use one aspect of their life skills. Cu can only use Rune in low level when he is Lancer. Artoria lacks her Rhogomyniad when she's Saber. Indian heroes like Arjuna and Karna got the biggest nerf since their legend is basically chunni level. We only see what real Karna and Arjuna can do without limited by class container in Lb4

I want /alter/ to fuck off

>amending an older work and editing it to conform to your own views
>not fanfiction

The price for the comfyness of case files threads is the shitposting of fgo threads.

That's not a "price". It's segregation of fanbase working as intended.

>>skillful archer, also a swordmaster
>>kill strong enemy general
>>one of the last generals still survived when her husband was defeated
History sometimes is even more crazy than fiction

BASED but how did this get a sticky haha

I don't get it. Are they going to make a new anime for every new episode of that shitty cell phone game, now? This fucking franchise is so confusing.

Yes, they're going to adapt 1 chapter every season! Then they're going to adapt EoRs as OVAs and after that they'll adapt Lostbelts. There's gonna be a FGO animu all season every season for the next 10 years.

>CGI Tiamat
>excited
More like, I'm afraid.

>>cuck Arthur
>>indirectly lead to the fall of Camelot
based France kicks England ass

Honestly I wish they adapted EoR. Shimosa and Salem especially.

We already have those.

Attached: Hassan and Ainz.jpg (1723x993, 367K)

I honestly can't tell if you are lying to me. Does this mean Jeanne shitters are going to be on suicide watch again if the France arc is adapted to television

No, why would you say something so mean

Attached: 344A81FE-04AD-4398-A767-889FCFA15EF9.png (640x853, 592K)

Reminder:

Camelot aka the Lion Virgin arc
>there's a crisis! shit's fucked!
>time to go full Madagascar and close all the fucking borders
>fate says we're gonna lose so why bother fighting, let's just make a museum to collect some special specimens of humans

Babylon aka the Chadgamesh arc
>there's a crisis! shit's fucked!
>fuck you, we'll keep fighting anyway
>fate says you'll lose? fuck fate that fucking zasshu!
>Refugees? Bring em on, as long as you're willing to keep fighting, you have worth as a citizen... for this is a battle to save Humanity!

Attached: 76692948_p0.jpg (556x640, 227K)

I want Shinjuku animated for those sexy sexy Alter outfits

>Gudao
>Anywhere near as entertaining as based Shirou and his justice autism

>fate says you'll lose? fuck fate that fucking zasshu!
>loses

nasu has to follow the singolarity this time, LE was anime original

The whole point is that both Gilgamesh and Lion King saw the Incineration as a forgone conclusion. The difference is one decides to keep fighting right to the end while the other has given up.

Same. Salem and Shinjuku are cool for anime adaptation

>humanity is fucked?
>who decided that!
>the demon army can’t be defeated
>WHO DECIDED THAT

Attached: EF42045B-4473-4968-A754-40021851C97A.jpg (639x949, 156K)

It's a wrong interpretation, therefore, fanfiction.

Attached: b36.png (898x610, 390K)

We're getting Babylon this year and Camelot next year. Bend over, boy, FGO runs this board now.

Okay, so they're making an anime of the seventh chapter, and a movie of the sixth chapter. So we're just going to fucking drown in FGO shit as it steadily displaces the main Fate story because it's worth FAR more money than the originals ever were.

>And that's a good thing!

Yes, it is. If you don't like it, you are free to go the retirement home known as /tmg/ so you can moan about the good old days.

Attached: 1527874230276.jpg (843x843, 79K)

Shimosa has the highest chance of getting animated since it's the most favorite EoR chapter (ranked no.4 after Babylonia/Camelot/Solomon) and is relevant to the pruning stuff, also Douman too i guess ? But they can skip EoR and just adapt Lostbelt after Solomon so who knows.

Do you want them to make a fourth Fate/Stay Night anime or something? Just keep remaking Fate/Stay Night animes forever?

Attached: aaaaaaaa.gif (125x125, 8K)

welcome to the future pal

How many fucking remakes and studios do you want to do FSN? Your beating a dead horse by now.

Attached: 26.jpg (2400x3375, 449K)

>displaces the main Fate story
Which has already ended years ago. Ataraxia has already very much concluded the chapter known as the Fuyuki Grail War. Nobody's forcing you to keep staying with the franchise if you don't like the direction it's going.

>uruk ends up destroyed

>it took Gil+Kingu+4 goddesses+2 Grands to take down Tiamat
damn, strongest Beast so far

I don't mind it, because the main Fate story was getting stale and the MC is boring. I just really do not care, at all, about Mash, yet the nips have this fixation on ramming her into every plot like a fucking muzzle loader when she's the most forgettable self-insert imaginable. There are doujins that handle FGO content better. They want so hard to make Mash the new Saber and it's not going to work. When Cu showed up in the prequel anime, it was like "OH YES, finally an actual character!"

>fgo threads are going to be tainted by filthy /vg/ niggers
Gilposting is fun, but fucking behave accordingly, you little bastards.

You should check /tmg/ shithole. They like artificial fake discussions and same TMwik posting of 11 year old events.

>muh /tmg/ boogeyman
This shit is getting old already

>he crying about self insert MC
Oh god. Someone post THAT interview with Nasu.
FGO part one is not about your shitty MC. Like in Dies Irae MC here is background. The story is about Solomon

>boogeyman
No? Their general is dead. You can recognize /tmg/ posters in Yea Forums because of writhing style. Like Aoko spammer

Yeah, this is a hard downgrade

Gudao and Mashu are the least interesting part of FGO desu. Chaldea, the servants and the lore are the good part.

>SuzuKen: "the beginning of the end of Mashu's journey"

Attached: IMG_8702.jpg (1200x766, 114K)

>. As far as i'm concerned it capped out and closed itself nicely with Extra and CCC.
The fact that you don't say F/HA and think of the spinoffs as capping off anything at all makes me pass on your opinion

I find all Saber variants cute at best but Shinjuku Alter is something else.

>short shorts
>bike
>jacket
>ponytail

I didn't know this combination was a fetish until I saw it.

>Shirou is just as boring as gudao
What a pleb

mash was such a bitch to him I swear
she never told him thanks for anything

>boogeyman
Do you even know what the word means? /tmg/ is an actual general on /jp/. It's where the old TM fans go to discuss old TM stuff because they detest the new stuff (mainly FGO and Extra series).

The Nasu fucked up hard in trying to execute that story. We barely knew Romani. Most of his scenes mainly mounts to
>lol idol otaku
>shut up romani/ stop slacking off romani/ stop being so pathetic romani
In fact, Babylonia Ep 0 was the most development they gave him. Despite claiming it's not about the player character but solomon, he sure has done very little in building the character of solomon beyond some basic exposition about how he was just this dude doing what god told him and that he never really got truly be Human.

Because Ereshkigal lets him. He himself said that everything on the Underworld is under her control. When Babylonia happened, she was on the enemy side so she wouldn't jusr let him go. He needed Eresh to give him permission first

Since Merlin is there they might include an anime original flashback with her.

It's going to be shit, but the part where Gil comes back on his archer form is enough to make it AOTY

They're most likely gonna save that for Camelot. In fact, Camelot might actually be decent if they tweaked the narrative to focus more on Bedivere.

That means Da Vinci might get shafted a bit

>Mash is the secondary protagonist
CUT MY LIFE INTO PIECES

Just imagine, if Mash wasn't there, you could have gone to the brothel with Merlin.

A lot of Camelot can be cut/summarized into montages with little to no loss to the narrative. Most of it is wasted on you running around in the dessert anyway.

I don't know. I had a different experience because I caught early on Roman was pretending. His behavior in the prologue and Septem was mostly serious (with "leff" being wary for him specifically) while he was a forced spaz in Orleans for example (but tactically none of this ever endangered anyone). He's very suspicious in Okeanus again and he provided all the actual useful infodump there, Artemis calls him out about being too smart, and his entire conversation with David, or how he slips about Merlin. It just came together in the end for me because I already saw through his bullshit. It was weird someone with only a medical doctor title was a walking wikipedia and could operate high magitech equipment on top of running the place immediately after the sabotage in a smooth manner. Also it's pretty clear that Roman is a Clairvoyance user after Babylonia.

Romani being suspicious with David? Say it ain't so.

Attached: Screenshot_20190821-154642.png (1280x720, 1.16M)

Fate Merlin is unironically one of my favorite depictions of him, young virile Merlin is more interesting than generic old Merlin

No shit. Nasu outright said Mashu and Roman are the main characters of part 1, which is about Mashu's growth/journey and Roman's way of life.

Has Mash done anything after Part 1? She seemed to have lost all relevance after this.

I stopped playing after Shinjuku. Has a despairing epic shit of this level come out again in FGO?

Saves humanity though, plus I’m pretty sure there were survivors. IIRC it pretty much went to Uruk fell as normal in history once the demons are defeated and history corrects itself

Honestly Mashu should have died in part 1. You know like JP joke about TM and sad vn endings. Her death will give more impact for story.

>Gacha trash
>excited
>AOTY
Back to

In EoR she does almost nothing. If you want to know what she does in LB you should ask reddit or fgog which reads summaries on reddit.

She nagged you the entire game and stopped you from interacting with the Servants to any large degree

>Talking without knowing shit
Your opinion has no worth.

>Players who finish Part 1 will lose her forever
>Not even playable as support
>Upgrade materials wasted

It's just some Yea Forumstard. He spamming a lot Yea Forums threads with "go back to /vg/"

Players who haven't or won't finish part 1 can't roll on banners with new servants

yet now nasu is trying to retroactively make it seem like they were so close with shit like episode 0

All that would lead to is players literally never using Mashu and warning new players to never use Mashu. Congratulations on having invalidated a unit.

I mean we knew Roman took care of Mashu while she grew up. Episode 0 just showed it.

Should just refund the mats, QP and XP cards then

What if she was always a story support then? Her level and skills scale with the story progress.

>refund
Might as well not use her then.

The goal is to make the player feel like shit

An anime where Gilgamesh doesn't get to job for shounen leads and random sluts ?
I don't know if I can suddenly take in such a big change.

Why not?
>level and skill her, is useful in various fights and content
>she actually dies, impactful story moment
>players get refunded the stuff they spent (which isn't that much, honestly) when EOR starts or something

So time temple is almost guaranteed to be adapted after this right?

I won't. I literally never used Mash after the prologue and skipped any dialogue she was in.

She just wants to join in sometimes

Attached: cuckqueen.png (1280x720, 709K)

Why should I bother leveling her up then? If she's dead then I might as well use George whose way cheaper and can be used once the story is over.

>Why should I bother leveling her up then?
Because you don't lose anything, and George is less effective?

It's beautiful to see

Truly the strongest servant

Attached: liz-luv alternative.png (761x717, 682K)

>Why should I bother leveling her up then? If she's dead
Because you should not know about her death. Unless you read spoilers like zoomer ape

If that happens, I hope my faves get their time to shine. Like, since Summer events will never be animated, give Rider Martha her Ruler NP

It’s funny because jap players were suspecting since Okeanus because they have similar speech patterns in japanese and when David tells the nature of the Ark, Drake is all “the fuck is wrong with you people, you made a bomb that can nuke a timeline?” Roman reacting “hey don’t blame me!”
They even made edits of Roman in green hair during that time

We also see him die from overwork

Hey let him be, office work is some boring ass shit.

Attached: 1567592523320.jpg (475x385, 71K)

>wanting godshu gone.
she is an S-tier support and can save your entire team through the entire game.

She stays out half of LB1 returning with Ortenaus to block Ivan’s lightning just when you all needed the most. LB2 has you both keep fighting for your lives constantly because Sigurd thrashes the Shadow Border, chops off Holmes’ arm, puts a curse of death on him should he move and to top it off Skadi hides all leylines in the land, cucking you out of the chance to summon more servants. Even after you make a contract with Napoleon you and Mashu keep getting into hopeless battles

I love cucking Mashu
As much as I love George’s taunting and timing his NP allows him to even tank NPs, Mashu’s partywide defense NP and skill helps a lot against bullshit opponents that pierce invul partywide.

Mash is the cheapest unit in the game, since she costs nothing to field. This is huge since she has the stats of a 4* and a pretty great deck and support skill set when she's not being forced to use her Ortheanus form. She's still a staple in most Arts teams and is a heck of a lot better than George.

Why did she have to use the pajeet outfit when her chinese regalia is pure sex?

>AOTY
>Fate not made by Ufotable

She has been cosplaying through the LBs. The first two she wears winter clothes, third she wears chinese and fourth she wears pajeet. Dunno how she will dress up the fifth considering the greeks were known to fight and play sports naked

Honestly? Because it's alive and more fun than any of the other series being shitted out in the Fate universe. People watched Fate to see Servants fighting each other, not made-up magical intrigue bullshit. Yes, FGO is basically a superhero franchise taking all the popular and fun aspects of Fate and turning into something more marketable. But since TM isn't going to create a new MC and would rather rely on Sir Japanese Justice from Mount Boring and SAY-BAH, FGO will edge it out of existence. Why? Because orange-haired man and Arthur with tits is totally played out. They wrote themselves into a wall. FGO can conceivably go on for nearly forever. It's fucking Fate's version of fucking Dragonball.

If you have to represent the female and male mc equally much in all the singularity adaptions, how would you choose?
>fuyuki - male
>orleans - female
>septem - female
>okeanos - male
>london - female

Female in all of them for the implied lesbianism

The "canonical" FGO will be over when Nasu finish part 2. In the eyes of TM fans I think. Another great part of FGO is ongoing. Everything happens in ongoing. Lore discussions don't stagnate. Theories, shitposting, waifuwars, lore discussion etc etc. Not stagnation like in old TM works. But still we discuss FSN and FSN VN lore. People still asking questions in Yea Forums. This is fabulous. TM will outlive us. In 2050 someone will still asking questions in Yea Forums VR

"Canon" or not, FGO isn't going to go away even if they kill off Mash. They'll just introduce someone else and keep going. This series made $3 BILLION dollars. An anime series making Iron Man numbers is pretty much guaranteed continued content. My main concern isn't whether FGO will continue but if they'll ever upgrade the game or make new games.

>we will never get to see a Rin/Gilgamesh team up

God I hope they start making new games. Just, without EXTRA’s battle system or Extella’s shitty musou. Seriously, those games had potential and were good in some stuff, but the con is fucking big when they fucked up the battle mechanics

merlin looks totally derp

Agreed. Extella was ass. Maybe they should just go full retard and have an Overwatch style title with people spamming NPs at each other.

Why is Nasu leaving?

They will need to introduce a new MC, setting and heroine to keep things fresh. We've been at Chaldea for years now.

Chaldea was destroyed over a year ago. We spent roughly a year living in da Vinci's van, and are now set up in Sion's Batcave.

He finished Undertale and experienced feels. You know same feel when grand journey is over. He want people to experience same feeling in FGO. For real.

>About the ending to Part 2:
>Part 2 is meant to be something like a full course meal, and TYPE-MOON is doing all they can until it ends. After completing the meal, whether the players go “I’m already full, time to leave the restaurant”, or whether they say “I can still eat some more” will decide how things go. If there are still people who want to play, the management would have to work hard so that they continue to enjoy it.
>Nasu has prepared the developments for “post-completion”. There are two patterns, pattern A, where the story continues from Part 2, and pattern B, where Chaldea’s tale is completely told and a different story begins. Both had him thinking “this is an interesting idea”.
>At this point, he’s started drafting it since he wouldn’t make it in time otherwise. However, it is up to the users to decide. Their decision is something even Nasu can’t predict.

>AOTY
You mean just another all style no substance cashgrab?

I do agree stories should have a definite ending, lest they turn into clusterfucks like dragon ball, quitting before the story gives everything it has, also leaves a bad taste, see School Rumble.
Also Undertale is shit.

Kajita asks if FGO will really end with part 2, and Nasu says that going by the plot he wrote, it is to end with part 2, and that he intends to do everything he can and wants to before it ends. What he is afraid of is players saying that they want to see what happens next- To which Kajita says that he is sure that they will- And Nasu says that would result in FGO depicting what happens “after the end” which is difficult but not impossible. He does say however that this would be like seeing the best ending in Undertale, and then heading towards the worst ending of your own volition. Kajita points out how ending the game with part 2 would leave players with a huge sense of loss, and Nasu says that this is what is what he is aiming for; He wants everyone to feel what he felt when he cleared Final Fantasy IV. He says that he has already communicated everything regarding part 2’s final chapter’s gimmick, plot and ending to the development team and writers, and has obtained their agreement on it, and Aniplex is also on board, with Aniplex CEO Iwakami Atsuhiro having agreed on Type-Moon taking the lead when the project first started. Nasu says that he wants to make a game that will fill players with both a sense of loss and pride, and that it would be wonderful if he could make “something after” in a great form that nobody expects.

Hakuno is literally designed as a mob character.

She took the most effort to put down, she's the best

Tiamat is just Goetia's guard dog. To take him down you have to take her down along with ALL the enemies you previously fought since this is all his doing idiot.

>jobs to a human punching him
goetia ain't shit

Most of what displayed in episode 0 are things we already knew idiot. Most of those scenes with Mashu were in the game.

Hate this meme but this is literally soul vs soulless

She did in London where she scolds him and says angrily his worst flaw is that he always puts himself down and doesn't value himself. She was a bratty teenage daughter. My sister acts the same as she toward our father who has a similar temperament as Roman.

She thanked him in Babylonia and time temple. Then almost gets everyone killed because she doesn't want to leave Chaldea (his room specifically in prologue of part 2). She gets a complete breakdown.

>Jojo Part 5 aired this year you know
Every weakness of part 5 was either unchanged or exaggerated by the anime adaptation. The pacing was even more shit than in the manga. The art style is just terrible, everything is much uglier than the manga, shading is terrible, the more complicated character designs forced animators to made animation almost non existent (aside from a couple of sakuga moments for sakugafags to jerk off to and being used as an argument for retards who think this anime looks good). The color swaps are terrible. The anime literally looks like Power Point presentation. It's GARBAGIO.
The main character is a gary stu SAO-like protagonist, so bland and so perfect for self-inserts that s o y males will obviously defend him. He's a shitty version of Jotaro. Giorno's goal is so uninspired and holds zero novelty. All character interactions feel artificial and forced most of the time, but especially those between Giorno and the crew, Araki sacrificed the time he could use to develop their relationship for MINDLESS fights (with zero actual tension) and DP didn't bother to fix this. There's zero chemistry between Giorno and others. The story and charmless characters are the poor man's version of part 3's.
The humor in this part is non existent, the characters lack any charisma and don't exhibit a personality that would invoke hilarity.
The constant action is boring and MotW formula often deranges the proper flow of the story, which fucks up the pacing even further.
The arrow is introduced too late, when we're like 70% into the story, thus feels like a forced plot convenience (which it is).
The stands are the most inconsistent in the series, next to part 6.
The stakes are extremely low, there's no tension.

I was the only one who said "Solomon" was this Beast I after Babylonia (but didn't know his name) based on the profile there. Most people ignored me.

She has some bit of focus when we fight a Crypter related to her like Pepe or Ophelia but overall Chaldea feel like side characters in Part 2 and the MCs are the Crypters.

Goetia never lost to you. The last fights in the Temple of Time were just his token resistance to just disappearing.
Goetia was fucked the second Solomon killed himself with Ars Nova.

Nasuverse doesn't follow the rule of the final boss being necessarily stronger than the mid-boss.

Nrvnqsr is stronger than Roa. Araya is stronger than Lio. Gilgamesh was stronger than Dark Sakura, but they all died first.

Someone explain to me the appeal of jrpgs. Pokemon works because it's quick paced compared to others, but when you have a full party and manage each one of their actions against a plethora of enemies, it feels so fucking boring.

Tiamat is a byproduct of Goetia's incineration, you need to overcome in order to face him, she's a stepping stone set up by himself. Nothing she did mattered, as the Human Order retconned it, all her deaths overturned, unlike the deaths in other singularities caused by the direct actions of Goetia, who also on top of that fucked up the timeline and left it vulnerable even after the incineration was fixed.

Divine spirit or not, Saber is the same fuckup that led Camelot to ruin and for exactly the same fucking reason.

Why is everyone turning into a Muslim now?

Fate protagonists are supposed to turn into niggers gradually not into sand niggers.

>i think Shirou, Hakuno and Sieg all look cute anyway.

>Tiamat is a byproduct of Goetia's incineration, you need to overcome in order to face him, she's a stepping stone set up by himself.
Which has nothing to do with power

imagine getting so angry because gil isn't invincible

Attached: chaldea tv.jpg (1080x703, 65K)

As opposed to the Chad king of heroes who summons his own servants and arms his subjects to put up a badass front against a near unstoppable army. Cannot wait to see the scene where casgil stands up to tiamat and her brood

>Which has nothing to do with power
In terms of power, Goetia wins, that's not even a contest about who had better firepower. Tiamat is mostly a defense stall oriented, like Kiara is all about her debuffs and mindtricks, Goetia is the firepower one.

what polar bear

No. I mean Goetia's plan with the incineration is not power focused for how it relates to Tiamat. Beasts work in a chain reaction and are summoned by the actions of another. I didn't mean destructive power.

I actually believe (and it's supported by their abilities) that Goetia is overall superior to Tiamat. But the logic of "he's the more narratively relevant enemy" does not work in Type Moon. Nasu is about the importance of clashing ideals, philosophies than power level beatdowns.

Amakusa was the final boss of Apocrypha but half the servant cast would have smacked him like a redheaded stepchild.

Goetia and Tiamat were two calamities on the human order as large. They manifested too unlike Beast III wannabes. Goetia at least could pierce the planet (Tiamat can't, but both were aiming for regenesis bullshit so Goetia didn't mind to have Tiamat around and his demons were upset she was slain) and neither can be killed or even harmed by any conventional method. To overcome Goetia, you need to defeat Tiamat, she was part of the Singularities he set up. This is the difference: Goetia has the edge because he's got wit and cunning on top of power.

Didn't goetia respect Tiamat? His plan was to essentially to become god of the new earth he becomes to center of. Would he bring all the beasts with him to this new earth he made?

I'm aware of this. I'm saying that Goetia planned for Tiamat's awakening (whose manifestation is linked to the inciniration of the HO), her release, and giving her a Grail. She's integral to his plans, he even leaves a trail of his location because he trusts Tiamat won't be easily btfo.
Tiamat was great, nobody denies this, but unlike the bosses of Apocrypha you're saying, the entire Part 1 threat was embodied by Goetia. He couldn't be defeated unless you take down everything in your journey, it was not just a final boss unrelated to the journey because he consumed that history.

Edison? She was awfully close tom him during summer 1 event.

Not disagreeing. See the above.

He did. Which is why the idea of her being a "guard dog" is pretty out there. Flauros even considers her defeat in the Babylonia singularity to be not worth joking about.
We're not really disagreeing here though. I wasn't the guy you started this debate with. I only dispute the logic that >Nasuverse doesn't follow the rule of the final boss being necessarily stronger than the mid-boss.
Nasu doesn't care a lot of brute force, but concepts, themes and meaning. All of which Goetia had over a brain-dead goddess in spades.

I'm expect it to be 7.5-tier

Also lots of giruga-jobbing.

Goetia liked Tiamat, yes, and didn't mind aiding her in what she wanted (as Beast II obviously). Not every Beast is in conflict with each other, Goetia and Tiamat represented the challenge of God as Authority figure Who decides our Fate and how our World is (Goetia) and the Overcoddling Goddess Mother who doesn't want the children to leave the Nest (Tiamat). The Sky Father and the Earth Mother of mythos that are staples (Kingu mentions in Babylonia, god-male-rules the world and the goddess births it). Those are the challenge of the figures of the Ages of Gods. Kama despite being a god, isn't connected to this theme, just like Kiara, that's why they are kind of filler in a story that's thematically about history and the Ages of Gods.

>(Kingu mentions in Babylonia, god-male-rules the world and the goddess births it).
Ten Crowns is a skill Goetia has in the game (but didn't make it to the character sheet for some reason, probably because he had zillions of skills) which is the counterpart to Potnia Theron.

Goetia was a Dark Emiya on roids and Tiamat was Dark Sakura on roids.

I like how it appears that L and R beasts don't get along. They represent two sides of the same sin so while the goal is similar to outcome is too different so they can't get along. It appears that Manaka and Nero are also opposed to eacher ( assuming that they are both in fact beast R and L of 6 ). Its nice seeing that Goetia actually offered some help to Tiamat and felt sorry for her loss.

How is Goetia anything like demiya?

Tamamovitch, if she becomes a Beast, is willingly working for this "God of Another Planet" who might be another. Obviously they didn't see eye to eye to Goetia's (and Tiamat's) goals.

Pretty much my take. I also just don't give enough of a fuck about the Fate franchise anymore to bother checking it out and was only ever kind of casually interested in it when it had some sort of internal consistency and sense of purpose. It's clearly just going to be a massive cash grab off show off it's fanbase that eats it up like just about anything related to it like most of the stuff Aniplex does. Basically all hype, spectacle, shitposting, memes, shilling and self-marketing with visual production values being the occasional highlight of the show (as is needed to market whatever is coming out in the game or merch related) and with scenes that only kind of make sense to people that have played the game. Basically like most Fate anime.

Oh yeah and it feels like Fate belongs to Aniplex/Sony nowadays rather than Type Moon and they're not even an independent company anymore. I can't remember the last time Type Moon did something that doesn't seem to involve Aniplex besides maybe Fate/Extella. Companies just kind of done creatively and as one that will ever do any new franchise or anything that's new or not Fate related ever again cause it's fanbase has made it so that they never have to. Unless you're already a hardcore fanboy of this stuff and god knows there's a lot of them then there's just nothing to see here from this franchise anymore or ever again.

I mean on the extreme of "saving everyone" because he wanted the satisfaction of not seeing suffering around him.

Obviously Tiamat isn't exactly like Dark Sakura personality-wise, but she has some similitudes. They are both too godlike, but in a human package their cores about being a twisted savior and a victim twisted and lashing out.

If it were any other singularity I’d agree but Babylonia is unironically pretty good

Camelot is good too, specially trimmed out the shit fanservice scenes which the movies promise would do.
Time Temple is great too. I have no doubt a lot of the weak cutscenes will be reduced or omitted to tightely focus on Mashu, Roman and Goetia in an adaptation. Episode 0 makes it pretty clear.

It's 25 episodes. If was a cashgrab, it would have been a single cour and be done with it.

I hope Hassan is in the Key art for the second cour. I think Ere, Quetz and Taiga are obviously going to be there.

Attached: EEEI8JEUYAANJFO.jpg (1618x1245, 290K)

Definitely will be, just cant in the beginning cuz his appearance is supposed to he a surprise

Well for the "god" he apparently didn't even expect Goetia to do his thing so it was shock to him aswell. Can't say if the god would be really upset but if it was marisbilly he might be fine with it being the body of bestfriend.

Fate is quite possibly the most overrated and overexposed mediocre franchise of all time in otakudom and that's saying a fucking lot even considering recent history. Considering I don't find shitposting nearly as fascinating as the average weeblord I might as well sit the next year or two or three of anime happenings out like I did most of the previous two cause that's basically what's going to come of this as is already being pre-planned along with Aniplex making it's usual monthly collections from it's whale slaves and shills.

Nothing actually new or fresh ever happens anymore in this scene anyway. It's all just kind of motivated by greedy business models like using social media and TV series to funnel people into gacha game gambling cycles and appealing to whatever way the wind is blowing on social media trends, which is usually something in poor taste and based around blind soulless "hype". It's all just one big bleed over of some overwrought Aniplex shilled thing of dubious quality (especially if you're unplugged from most social media memes/shitposting) from one season to the next and people making collective asses of themselves over them. Darling in The Frankxx anyone?

Likewise I don't give a fuck about Azur Lane, Granblue Fantasy or any of the other gacha shill things that all seem to be coming out next season to grab some level of cash off their fanbases. Not exactly what I once got into this whole anime thing for.

If the inciniration hadn't been solved, it wouldn't have been fine though.

Goetia didn't have 10 crowns until he got Solomon's rings and he was already dying/lost the power of a beast by then.

Honestly if seasonal Fate and other gacha game adaptations are the future highlight of what to look forward too from anime and what the industry is going to be sinking it's resources, talent, capital and focus into (and it's kind of starting to look more and more like it) then there's literally no point to it's existence as a medium anymore for potential new fans unless you're a Japanese otaku or already into that stuff for whatever reason. That's not bullshit or trolling, it's just kind of the reality since not everybody gives as much of a fuck about this stuff as Japan and the ultra hardcore fan types do.

Well not for Humanity but Goetia would've made a new humanity which is something tiamat also wanted. Obviously Godbilly would be perplexed as to what happened.
Nero caster has 7 crowns, what's the difference between 10 and 7 crowns?

Anything past ataraxia is fanfic tier and not canon

More episodes means more Blu-Rays and potentially more gacha codes for extra cash is how I took it to be. A lot of stuff is 25 episodes and clearly doesn't need to be other than that's 6 more Blu-Ray benefits packages to work off of.

For a place as cynical and shitposty as Yea Forums people can still be painfully naive.

It's more that he never used it.

Ten crowns is the full skill. Represents the max authority on Earth.

>tertiary commenting on characters he doesn't even know

name one fate related merch since 2015 that has these "gacha codes" for fgo

People have tried to claim to me at one point or another that every single Type/Moon thing is equally brilliant and maybe one of them has been kind of a net good overall consistently paced and realized story to me which was Kara no Kyokai. Every single other time it's been a bunch of edgy overly introspective borderline nonsense that drags on and on and on with characters repeating the same mantras and bouncing their hair brained ideologies off of one another only to arrive at the obvious conclusion or shocking twist for it's cast 10 episodes later than it reasonably should have and thus ends up kind of mediocre and lacking any real lasting impact.

That's kind of most Japanese otaku media for you though. Just drawn out, overly sentimental and needlessly cryptic as fuck during it's exposition phases for a resolution that ends up pretty well being on the nose every time. I can see how it appeals to it's current day otaku audience though cause that basically describes social media trends as a whole and social media and otakudom are basically inseparable nowadays.

The only thing good about TM has always been the world building.

I don't know it just makes business sense to do what was done with Granblue Fantasy, Manaria Friends or Love Live. Like this is Aniplex we're talking about, the company whose entire business model for selling Blu-Rays often revolves around baiting hardcore fanbases in Japan with benefits packages in limited edition sets. It'll be the difference between this show selling like 5,000-8,000 or so copies per volume like all the other non-ufotable adaptations or like 80,000 or even 100,000+ per disc since what other reason would the fans have to spend 8,000 yen across probably 12 blu-rays when they can just watch it on streaming or the app or buy their precious Quartz in said app instead?

If they don't have gacha codes in the Blu-Ray packages then they're literally just kissing goodbye a potential 10000% or more kick up in disc sales and that makes little sense.

Jewplex would never put codes in their anime. The only codes they put was pre launch before FGO because a fucking moneymaker.

Attached: EEK16jhU8AAk-F2.jpg (1450x864, 210K)

Go ahead and tell the entire class how you would even claim a code from the BD in the game

>Granblue Fantasy, Manaria Friends or Love Live.
Those three mobages are run by Cygames and LL is not Aniplex either, afaik. Not that I'm not saying is a good strategy, but the FGO anime is done for the fans of the game mostly. They animated chapter 7 because was VOTED as most popular singularity by the players. It's pretty useless to get "new fans" when you skip forward the penultimate battle. FGO is so successful on its own that is financing the Sony music department red numbers. The Stage show, the anime, the movies, etc are a thank you present to fans.

Except I even find the world building to be pretty poor as it can't really seem to be consistent about anything and seems to have a lot of elements or power creeps that contradict previously established lore and rules just to appeal to fan sentiment of the moment. Frankly a lot of big epic franchises do world building a hell of a lot better and seemingly pretty effortlessly in realizing you don't always have to bury your reader/viewer in a torrent of jargon and banter to get the point across.

Type-Moon mainly seems good at adding needless fluff and redundant description to it's universe and text so that it appears more vast, dense and poignant than it actually is. This is no more apparent than just pulling up any given character or plot point page on the Type-Moon wiki which is clearly copy pasted and translated from some Type Moon source book with the text and description barely making any sort of coherent sense at all and just reiterating itself a few paragraphs later in even more convoluted prose. It's like reading the prose on character bios for Under Night In Birth only without the sense to keep it concise and brief.

At least the cast in the original Fate story were more or less kind of relatable and went through something resembling compelling character arcs though. Everything else I've seen from Fate they're just a concoction of currently popular moe/fujo tropes that just appear in the works, do something cool, spout their ideologies that are often edgy and don't really make any particular sense, and then just never really change or grow or anything you'd expect like that from the whole affair. The Lord El-Melloi one that currently airs is a particularly strong example of this and while some people agree with the above assessment I'd swear it's like a lot of them have watched a completely different franchise than the one I've seen since Fate became apparently the biggest thing in animu.

First Order didn't have codes.
Moonlight Lost Room didn't have codes.
Stage Camelot and Stage Babylonia didn't have codes.
Last Encore, Apocrypha, HF and other Fate shit they adapted, didn't have codes.
The ONLY codes they put was pre launch campaign ones on a boxset of UBW I think, and a Type Ace which was a fucking CE code you can later buy off rare prisms from the r. prisms shop. Saber Lily the pre launch reg "exclusive" servant eventually was handed to every player in an event.
The only time they do 'promotion' with FGO is giving shitty useless Craft Essense (the useless kind) when you go to see a HF movie in Japan (they are handed free in the NA server) or some Arcade campaign which again is not even worth it.

Okay sure whatever you say. I'll take your random speculation over years of observed marketing behavior from this company and the only logical thing that's going to drive potential record sales for the anime.

This and the above is some of the most painfully naive shit I've read in a while and still isn't even remotely convincing. Yes I know thanks but literally what relevance does that have to the potential and obvious marketing model for the Blu-Rays. People really seem to just think they can just say "OMG FGO makes so much money and a whole bunch of other talking points" and hand wave away just about anything I guess. That might work for most of Yea Forums and reddit but I'm not fucking braindead like those examples and suddenly think the company that clearly just does most things because they make money isn't going to do things that will clearly make more money.

As far as I know Sony Music department has never had red numbers in recent years either even if you subtract the mobile gaming department. It's literally the biggest music company in Japan and one of the biggest in the world. They crank out a new Nogizaka46 song every couple months that sells over a million copies with handshake tickets, have a bunch of other super popular artists world wide under their belt and yet I'm supposed to believe they're in the red without Fate Grand Order? Where do you people get your information besides out of your ass and hearsay on social media? Fucking read shit besides Yea Forums and hacky blogs I don't know.

Sony's electronic department is the only real albatross they have right now as even Sony Pictures has started to turn things around.

Holy shit /tmg/fags are fucking autismal as fuck.

That's at least something more tangible to go on as it's an established precedent. See not that fucking hard to make a sensible argument. Personally though I still think now's a good time to start doing them by the volume since as I've mentioned it's like pissing away a potential 10000+% revenue kick and another year they can humble brag about having the best selling whatever in otakudom, but precedent is clearly against including codes.

I really see no reason why they couldn't just commission variants of the 12 most popular characters and include gacha codes in the disc packages as the only way to claim them. It's not like their fans are going to cry foul by the looks of things and with how psychologically shell shocked they are by the games terrible 5* rates (no doubt a huge reason it makes so much) they'll probably think "Wow a guaranteed Jeanne D'Arc for only 8,000 yen? DEAL OF THE CENTURY!!!! THANKS ANIPLEX!!!!"

>he still thinks Sony isn't full of retards
No user, the only naive one is you. Go actually read up on the shit decisions Sony has been up to and I'm not even talking about their dumb movie decisions. That they've been making big bucks is less because of their genius marketing strategy but more on being lucky enough to get their hands on a some strong brands. Hell, forget Sony, you can start with fucking DW, who are a bunch of incompetent fucks who made it big only because they luckshit and got the Fate property. Considering how they've been handling FGO, they only made it this far because it's Fate. In fact, early FGO was so shit, it actually was in trouble and only hanging on because of the diehard Fate fans.

All you're doing is talking about hypothetical where the company sees good opportunities and make good rational decisions out of it. You're acting like an Economics 101 student expecting the real world to function like the theoretical models.

Uh yeah where have you been the last 10 years user. It's like the chuuniest fucking franchise possibly of all time.

The poor child is too new, let him lurk for a while.

You just know DW will make 2 rateups for Gilgamesh and the Babylonia crew next month.

Attached: 1567601234804.jpg (960x540, 60K)

There are over 100 things DW could have done years ago to improve the game and thus make the game actually appealing to more players, non TM fans or not. Meanwhile, what DW has actually been doing is to make it harder for new fans to join FGO. If you actually know what you're talking about rather than act as some outsider who thinks he's informed, you would have realized long ago that their only "real" strategy they've been doing is "keep hanging on to the old whales and squeeze as much out of them". They're absolutely shit at long term planning. They supposedly claim NA/Global server was made to promote the brand in the west, but then decide to follow it up by giving as little shit about it as possible, and giving a ridiculously bare bone team to manage it, with shitty PR attempts and little to no communication between them and the players.

You want them to pursue bigger marketing campaigns when they can't even manage the smaller but arguably more important things that build the foundation of the business? Get real.

Anons, I need to know if Alexander is just shota Iskandar because I'm feeling really regretful for jerking off to him.

He is

>Iskandar is the Persian name of Alexander
You don't need to be Waver to figure this one out.

Attached: 1566588757514.jpg (185x166, 11K)

Yes I'm well aware of the history of Sony Pictures and Delight Works terrible counterproductive decisions but it doesn't seem to matter much in the face of frothing fanboys that will accept anything as long as it has Spiderman and Friends or Saberface on it.

I don't think Aniplex/Sony itself is stupid at all and that they're incredibly savvy particularly when it comes to working if not outright gaming social media trends in their favor. They probably have the most bullseye guesses from their producers of just about any medium, especially for dealing with such a once niche product and historically volatile fanbase. They've basically managed to overtake the existing anime industry apparatus in less than a decade by correctly identifying early on the impact social media would have on it's incoming fanbase, correctly identifying that nobody in the current fanbase really gives a fucking shit about whether their music sounds the same from show to show (Sawano, Kajiura) as long as it's "hype", correctly identifying that the current fanbase doesn't give a fuck about how inconsistent and silly their shows characters and story arcs often come across as long as they're hot and have good memes for social media (Darling in The Frankxx, Madoka, Saekano, Monogatari, Ero-Manga Sensei) and have correctly identified what franchises just need a little extra marketing push to explode in popularity, particularly where Shonen Jump manga and Light Novels are concerned.

I just searched it too, welp, shoganai wa.

I can't believe I never noticed how much Berserker Cu looks like that .hack//GU guy

>As far as I know Sony Music department has never had red numbers in recent years either even if you subtract the mobile gaming department.
You're a fucking ignorant idiot. FGO belongs to the MUSIC department in Japan because is an apk. It was since 2016 onward listed along with shit as Spotify and Adele as saving Sony Music Department and 2017 did a lot lot better because of the whales fished with the critical reception in social media after the finale. You being an ignorant cunt is cute.

This has been a thing for a while:
pollstar.com/article/sony-music-yearly-revenues-up-24-percent-to-71b-with-help-from-fate-grand-order-135253

GARgamesh, you mean

How the fuck will Hassan not come off as a massive deus ex machina since this airs before Camelot?

Do you have to play the game to understand whats going on?

it's not meant for anime onlies, they don't care

watch First Order, watch episode 0, don't think about the skeleton daddy and it should make more or less sense.

>they only made it this far because it's Fate.
No it didn't. While Fate has a NICHE of core fans, it isn't a franchise that's Dragon Ball, ONe Piece or Naruto level. FGO is what turned Fate from a niche thing becoming more popular thanks to Zero to "what if the mascot features next to Sanrio" characters?

Just post Frodos in any on-going thread while you watch, and you'll have a dozen people calling you a retard and explain it to you.

Your just not listening though and understanding the context of the current conversation. You're just launching into the talking points you want to go with (and I even kind of agree with but are beside the point) and already believe to be true, but conflict with the reality that none of it really seems to matter for the fanbases they cater too judging by their spending habits and thus is just your own personal bullshit and grievances. I don't actually think they're good at planning in the traditional sense of making shows and games that people would actually want to watch/play in the absence of hype marketing and social media shitposting antics. They're just utterly brilliant at milking and manipulating the current resources and apparatuses available to them and generating artificial "hype" so that it just doesn't matter anyway when it comes time to collect on merch if their show or game is mediocre or even flat out sucks dicks because it will be insanely popular through other means anyway. I'm also not talking about Delightworks inc. Who gives a shit about DW inc which is just a means to an end intermediary developer? The developer and it's shortcomings doesn't matter in this equation, it's Aniplex, it's marketing influence and social media manipulation and planning as always that's the key factor here.

I don't really want anyone to do anything nor particularly care since I don't plan on following the show and am not a Sony shareholder, I just have strong suspicions as to how they're probably going to push market the show with optimal benefits.

To break it down, you're talking about what you want to believe and wish is the case with FGO and it's overseer while I'm talking about what observably is in that how you think things ought to be just doesn't fucking matter to most people anymore anyway. I'm possibly a phase or so ahead of you in all of this in long since coming to terms with that distinction.

CG wins every time, baby.

SONY CORP.
>Sony's music operations were helped this past quarter not by music sales but rather thanks to a video game, Fate/Grand Order.
I wish I had the first big article which included the Sony CEO with graphs and the BIG THREE of 2016: Adele, Spotify and FGO.
If the archive was still around, I would be able to search it. FGO only got more popular. The finale was a social sensation that shook the social networks and lured a massive amount of players after new years. It's basically a staple for Sony now. Any Aniplex Fate projects are financed with the money from the FGO as "sub" franchise.

Attached: EDID-Q5U0AARfu7.jpg (1600x900, 181K)

Only because Nasu decided to step in. Early FGO was legit awful, you have no idea. It was kept on life support and only die hard fate fans clung to it enough for Nasu to actually start to give a shit. That's how and when it actually got big.

Maybe the movie screens before the second cour.

Oh, it's you again. You already got BTFO in previous threads and yet every time you come back acting like you totally know what's going on. I don't know who you're trying to fool at this point.

Mash is more like a (non-used goods) Sakura than anything else. The FGO Rin, well, y'know...

Attached: playing with olga.jpg (5184x3456, 1.44M)

Watch First Order and then Episode 0. If something isn't clear, ask here.

Don't bother trying to argue with him. He's been doing this shit for quite a while. He might actually be a Year 1 Marketing student who thinks he just discovered some groundbreaking discovery. The guy is the prime example of being half smart.

I hope Sanrio is our first non TM collab once part 2 ends. I yearn for Berserker Hello Kitty.

Attached: ED7N3vCVUAEX9TC.jpg (2048x1604, 422K)

Will MEDUSA get a Sanrio model at last?

I'm going to buy the BD anyway, I wish they'll put some codes, but they fucking won't because Jewplex won't bother. They'll make more money releasing SSR gacha special campaign Servant because of the anime than giving it free because you buy them.

test

I do have an idea, I've been playing since launch. It was Shiokawa, no Nasu, who was called to save the game by the way. Nasu's always been there, Shiokawa taking as director was what got events which Nasu and co didn't think they'll do.

Yes again I'm well aware the game is a large contributing factor. That doesn't mean they were in the red otherwise and also as you point out Adele had a smash hit record that year and the artists that don't matter for them outside of Japan continue to consistently bring in revenue.

Did you actually read the article or just the headline (which you apparently misunderstood) like most people do nowadays. It states all the things that grew in revenue last year for Sony Music including it's visual media platform which if removed Sony Music still grows 14% and brings in nearly 5 billion USD without FGO. Like even just stopping to read, think and do math with this article should be enough so I just assume this another bad faith goal moving post. If we take the estimate of FGO's revenue last year at face value to be somewhere around 1.1 billion USD and subtract that from 7.1 billion USD you end up with 6 Billion Yen in profits (remember Visual Media isn't just strictly Fate Grand Order, it's just the largest single earner currently in that division) and still ample year on year growth. All of this of course pails in comparison to the Playstation division, but Sony Music is posting growth and profit regardless of FGO which was your initial point so sorry bro finance just isn't your department nor is apparently reading past a headline.

I don't know I just feel like I'm really dealing with somebody that doesn't understand or want to understand how to parse these financial statements because if done in good faith it proves them wrong about or simply didn't understand the full context of something and there's no graver sin on the internet than admitting a mistake is their?

If this thread has taught me anything it's that Yea Forums remains incapable of anything other than regurgitating it's own talking points and personal assessment of how things are. Like people really don't venture outside of this board let alone actually outside much it seems.

Again I'm well aware of this article, that just has dick fuck all too do with the initial statement that Sony Music is in the red without literal FGO which is the sole thing I've been disputing here and seems to as always have gotten lost in the bullshit of Yea Forums. Talking point after talking point that sounds regurgitated from something you read from 3 years ago doesn't change any of this. Like you can say the same easy to regurgitate shit about graphs that made the rounds of social media in 2016 and PR about it's initial finale being a social phenomenon and it'd still be completely beside the point. See

It's a really big problem in the anime community post social media era, not just Yea Forums. Like pick talking points that may apply to showing how Sony Music is in the red without Fate Grand Order if you absolutely have to, not just the few you know about that have made the rounds for years I don't know bro. Unless of course there literally are none......

Says the people that think just posting the same old few articles about Fate Grand Order over and over is a catch all supporting argument for anything and everything that could have to do with Sony Music's financial situations.

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talking_point

Again...talking points. Nothing substantive like hard numbers outside of the one article the guy posted that proves Sony Music turns a profit without FGO, just talking points from Industry PR that have already been stated many times before because that's how talking points are supposed to work. Post real arguments to counter other arguments, not favorite talking points about FGO.

As I keep saying I'm well aware of how awful early FGO is stated to have been here, I've heard that talking point many times before. I actually remember shit and the context in which is was posted from before a few days ago, which seems to be the average. Not trying to be arrogant, but like fuck guys how's the short term memory and logical thinking going? Engage in any of it lately?

What's with this autist posting wall of text about their imaginary marketing ploy?

Babylonia is the longest chapter. Like a good third of it has no Gilgamesh, no Ishtar, or Ereshkigal, no Quetzalcoatl, no Jaguarman. The first third of it's gonna just be Gudao being a boring fuck. So it's hard to get hype knowing that even once it starts, it won't actually get interesting until a couple months in.

Well it's sort of vague as to what actual magical ability the MC has, so it may as well be something as useless in a fight as gender swap magic

I keep hearing that early FGO was bad because Nasu didn't get too involved, but hasn't Cosmos in the Lostbelt been being foreshadowed even since the FGO prologue? And the plot of Salomon at least has to have been laid down early too. He must have had some level of involvement.

Guda has no ability. They've only been training in magecraft for a year so they're still scrubs. They've made some progress as Masters, but their only real worth is as mana conduits and mystic code backup.

Grand Rider when?

Originally, Nasu was only gonna write Singularity F, the prologues and epilogues of each Singularity after, a couple events, interludes for the Servants he created, any dialogue involving Roman and Goetia, and finally Time Temple Solomon. Also, the very first event Nasu wrote, Does the Moon Goddess Dream of Dumplings, was pretty much a last-minute thing that Nasu put together in a hurry so there were never any real plans for the extravagant events we have nowadays either.

Nasu was actually supposed to be working on Tsukihime R while also doing a bit of FGO now and again for the aforementioned parts, but then things spiraled out of control.

>They animated chapter 7 because was VOTED as most popular singularity by the players.
the anime project was decided even before the poll was conducted

Your Noah looks kind of funny

No clue, and I don't care.
It blasts some people's booties that Fate continues to exist because of FGO instead of outright dying or becoming like One Piece or some other fucking shitshow with 923857932875 episodes of nothing but the same thing. They can't grasp that some people genuinely enjoy the idea of historical figures magically battling, and that it's a somewhat unique concept.

>inb4 some idiot mentions a different anime with historical figures fighting
Other movies had dinosaurs in them, but not every dinosaur movie was Jurassic Park.

So here's what I don't get about this game and recent statements of the money it makes. So for the past 3 days I keep hearing this talking point about how this game made 160 million USD or some batshit crazy record number for itself in August and then I see Sensor Tower updates it's revenue data on the game today to August and it's very much in line with last August and it's swimsuit campaign. 53 million on Google Play and 39 Million on IOS in Japan for about 90 million total in August. Still an insane amount of money but a far cry from 160 million and again far more in line with expectations and Sony's own claims.

Here's the problem, you can try and argue that the China and US markets make up the difference, but another part of the talking point is that 81% of the revenue came from the Japan market with 8% coming from China and 5% US and the other 6% unable to be accounted for by region, which again sounds probable. Problem is 80% of 160 million is 128 million which is where Sensor Tower should have it's August revenue for Japan but doesn't despite it's own blog article from a few days ago claiming 160 million (actually 162 which puts it 2 million higher than PUBG apparently at exactly 160 million) worldwide. Even if you go to the other markets China shows 9 million for August while US shows 3 million for IOS and 4 Million for Google Play which is consistent with previous months and last August but still only brings the number up to about 105 million which is still short of even that 128 million number and calls a lot into question. Like why the apparent padding of it's revenue by as almost a 33% more while claiming 27% growth year on year in the article from 2 days ago when today's data shows otherwise is consistent with previous August. Why is that also the only article about monthly revenue worldwide I can find apparently attributed to Sensor Tower since April as well?

lmao secondaries don't play the mobage so they to result to talking about marketing and finances to fit in the fate discussion

Some guy on Yea Forums tried to claim 200 million earlier today based on some random contextless Korean picture, though the thread got like 2 replies before being archived. Sensor Tower even lists the entire gross for Sony Corporation mobile app division as a whole at $113 million USD for August which in plain site and which matches Sony's own claim for the month so that's almost assuredly the actual REAL number and everything else is just people pulling them out of their ass.

Yeah you're dumb and didn't understand the point being made. Yea Forums rarely understands anything other than some form of extreme all encompassing zero sum opinion so that's normal though. You can't really claim it's one person being assblasted either because people also "argued the point" (or rather an entirely different one) painfully for about 50 posts.

It literally started because some person or people didn't want to surrender the point that Sony Music the biggest record company in Japan wouldn't magically be in the red without Fate/Grand Order despite plenty of evidence to the contrary. Only one person talked about finance and marketing.

Also when has marketing and finance ever not come up in relation to Fate Grand Order along with fawning over fanart. It's one of the fanbases favorite things to talk about because it makes them feel important and like they contributed to something meaningful somehow instead of just excess money in Sony's already vast pockets. That's why you keep seeing all this stuff about how contributions to the mobile game have financed all these Fate adaptations that outside of the ufoTABLE stuff nobody has really bought or seemed to enjoy much because they've been pretty goddamn bad regardless and done little for the animating studios reputations..

>no Quetzalcoatl, no Jaguarman.
Are you implying they are popular and people care?
Gilgamesh is likely on episode 2 because 3 is SOL Uruk.

>care about my mundane argument now now now now now!

Quetz is important in the story though, it'd be dumb to just leave her

>the anime project was decided even before the poll was conducted
No idiot, the poll is conducted EVERY year, the RESULTS are taken from the yearly FGO regular poll you take and they give you tickets. If you're a EOP newfag fuck off.

They chose TV series and movie because was the options more popular on the "what more of FGO you'll like to see?" and Camelot and Babylonia because were the top voted chapters.

I never said she wouldn't be included, I'm saying she isn't a popular character.

No, not really. I'm hoping that it will surprise me, though. I'm enjoying Waver's show more than I had expected to.
