Star Platinum is the real deal, Jotaro's natural Stand. Dio had more time to experiment with The World, which is why he had the upper hand at first, but remember he only has The World from stealing Jonathan's body. Compared to Dio's "fake" Stand, Star Platinum at its full power is superior.
