Yup, I'd like if this would become a plot point and he really focused on the movie, went with it and instead of growing closer to her actually distance herself from her more by getting caught up in all of this.

As to the lack of other girls this arc: It's probably the fault of how this is written, because If either Mami or Ruka realized what he is know doing for Chorizo they would probably get pissed of and tell Grandma the truth(and we can't have that). You can't really put them in this arc, at least not at this moment.

And I'm sure she still will be like that even if the movie thing works out.
He will get a forced "Thank You" at most.
