Hey guys, so I'm not a anime guy. I've only watched DBZ, fullmetal alchemist and saint seiya. My question is: on my myanimelist they rank Gintama as one of the best animes ever made. So is it really that good? Should I watch it? Thanks
Hey guys, so I'm not a anime guy. I've only watched DBZ, fullmetal alchemist and saint seiya...
I thought this anime was popular
Not really. It was on that line in between hugely popular and irrelevant but always had a dedicated fanbase who love the shit out of it more than the average Naruto fans liked Naruto.
Yes, Gintama is really great. Once you finish watching it I would suggest you to watch also Boku no Pico which is quite similar to Gintama
I kinda watched the first episodes of naruto, it got me hyped but I couldn't finish it. I still don't know why. Is this better than naruto?
Very funny lad
Why is this thread still alive?
Why is this bad? Do you have anything agaisn't this anime?
> Is this better than naruto?
Yes. Naruto goes to shit very VERY quickly.
Hmmm, so I'm gonna give it a try then. I already found a torrent on nyaa with all episodes. Hope it's pretty good. Thanks for answering btw
It's Japanese Simpsons with sort of progressing plot and action scenes I skipped, because they try to be deep or it's some sort of sarcasm or parody of how clique shonen stories are that's too deadpan and hard to understand. Obvious joke fights were fine. Watch around 25 first episodes then watch only joke episodes or better arcs.
Are the stories continuous (with arcs etc) or episodic (each episode has its own story)?
No it doesn't, and keep seethe.
>bro watch gintama, it gets good after 200 episodes
It's shit
fuck off
Do you lads think the myanimelist guys are wrong voting it that high?
why? what did I do?
lurk more faggot
Well, I'm new on Yea Forums. But I sure am new to Yea Forums, because I never been into animes before and now I'm trying to watch the best ones to see what I've missed. You're not helping me that much.
I meant not new*
It's both. Sometimes it's hard to tell which episodes are part of a bigger arc, but I simply pick episodes at random and then follow them if the plot seems fun. Some seem like a filler but actually are a part of bigger story. Some archs are random and serve only as humorous thing. Story is super slow so it's not like shounen where they keep raising power levels and adding literal whos every 5 episodes, but rather set of arc stories that make sense as whole with addition to stuff like gintamas babbling on how animation works.
Get some fucking taste in battle shounen you child
