Her universe uses an entirely fictional language, Japanese is just what it's interpreted to in her source material. It's not her name as she would write it down so it doesn't matter much to me, my gutterflower is just as sweet regardless of what she's called.

It only has like 3.5 cases and genders got nothing on Kanji.

Sure, but it has two entirely different lexicons, and it's primarily ideographic; grammatically it's incredibly easy, but English and German are fundamentally the same system and borrow heavily from each other, while Japanese is different in every aspect
