People are going to say I'm baiting but if you're only willing to watch the anime watching both seasons of Railgun is a better choice as the other adaptations are pretty weak - it might get you invested enough to check out the other content. In any case you won't get a very good experience of the mainline series from the anime, so the LN is the way to go for Index.

- Then they talk about each other's works. Rakuda says he reads Index ever since his college days and is impressed by the worldbuilding since it's something he was never able to write well.
- Kamachi then says that he's the opposite, and is conscious about how he's bad with pure, straightforward romcoms, and the times he did RomComs it was focused on solving mysteries (Zashiki Warashi) or ending a conflict (Blood Sign), and he just can't into RomComs where love is the main focus.
- And that's why he's impressed by OreSuki handling of romance and finds it pretty well written
- Interviewer then says they both find each other's works hard to make, and Kamachi says that even if he starts a RomCom, he's unsure about how far he can even progress the romance during it, because in them once the love is fulfilled, the story is over.

Nah, just because you have no connections to anyone else doesn't mean that your character can't benefit from new relationships. The Touma/Othinus relationship will barely ever go forward, it's basically pretty much complete and stagnant so Othinus needs those new connections anyway to survive for a whole another part.

I agree with you in that her having as many flaws as she does virtues is what makes her interesting, but you can't chalk the entirety of her behavior to her knowing Touma for one summer. Both her pettiness and moments if altruism predate her meetings with him, and in any case, the parts of her personality Kamachi chooses to focus on are more appealing when she's not single-mindedly focusing on following Touma.
