In the case of the first two, it's that instead of being an athlete or normal guy, the MC is like an elite gamer and that allows him to be really good at the new world which uses literal RPG mechanics he can abuse, only not really because he was given a cheat skill.
The latter is there because of escapism, and I'm not against escapism on principle, but I don't think I've seen it used in an interesting way yet. It's usually just "Wow this world of big-tiddy elves jumping on my dick sure beats being a pencil pusher!"

The anime cut an somewhat important part to rush to a fight that they slightly butchered, but that's par the course for an adaptation. And it was otherwise a really good watch.

The only good Isekai is Zero no Tsukaima because it never drops the Isekai theme and the Isekai stuff is the best part of the world building.

Usually those separations are before the MC acquires them. Expecting slave uprisings when so many settings use magic to enforce slavery generally isn't reasonable. Magic would generally be necessary to enforce slavery too when a single person can be strong enough to escape otherwise. The MC being involved in family separation does still happen somethings.

One of the few things that could stop it would be orders from gods to not enslave people like that, or maybe if there is no way to force a new owner on an existing slave. Having families that enslave each other with either a master also being the slave of their own, or a loop of master/slave ownership might work. I can't be purely cost that prevents total enslavement given how cheap some slaves can be, unless only certain ones get an expensive magical version.

A lot of isekai before the modern boom have the mc being from another world being plot-relevant. Fushigi Yuugi has characters communicating back and forth, the second half of Dunbine and an arc of Digimon Adventure take place on Earth because the antagonists don't stay in the other world.

I've only seen the anime, While it may have flaws it's at least different enough from the average isekai show to be enjoyable from not following the generic isekai anime they all follow even if you view Overlord as garbage.

You have to play some very dumb MMORPGs to have untouchable lvl99s. Usually the way to make people socialize in those games is crafting and the need to trade loot for loot to advance your build. The mc usually is desperate for rice (which is always imported from that country in the far east), laments that the world has no S-O-Y sauce, and invents something like mayo, omurice, or other simple food that the locals cream themselves over. The worst I've seen was one where a girl got isekaid to a world where things were relatively advanced for an isekai series but their cooking culture was incredibly underdeveloped. Unfortunately the author portrayed this by making them all absolutely retarded about everything cooking. They had beer and wine but somehow didn't know about yeast or fermentation. And they had easy access to large amounts of sugar but never invented caramel or thought to add it to anything to make sweets (I really have no idea what they were even using all that sugar for as they never showed it being used for anything).

They just want to shit post and add in their shit cause they are already so bored out of their minds and soulless husks on their own board they need to crossboard to justify their own shit taste.

I think they went to the castle together the day orcs were slayed then rested there for few days, MC got his fancy suit tailor-made and then came the audience with king. It's not as much misses as implied.

Why is it there is no isekai where someone ends up being and looking like a generic bandit boss and even acts like one? It'd be fun to see, especially if the guy was in his previous life a genius at scheming and strategizing with lots of knowledge, but for whatever reason absolutely hates it and shuns it, wanting to unga bunga this second life of his. Take Frederica Greenhill, there's nothing about her that stands out, nothing about her actions that make her memorable in a cast thats near or in the hundreds beyond being one of maybe 5 women to be named. Keiko from YYH, her character goes nowhere from her introduction to the end of the series she's the same flat character.

ORV counts while ICDS doesn't. ORV is in a separate world, whereas ICDS is merely the unraveling of interstellar forces encroaching upon Earth. It's totally different. Even the system in ICDS is explained to be set up by the dungeon itself, so it's just a high tech magical internet network that doesn't require an external device and just hooks right up to the people themselves. There's nothing isekai about it, it'd be like if Terminator came along and had tech that made it so he could create a UI interface for the kids that only they can see with just their eyes, would it be isekai? No, cause it's just tech, and Terminator isn't from a different world.

That's not what isekai is, otherwise just going to Mars is isekai. You're not supposed to be able to get there through conventional science upgrades which is the case in ICDS as we can see with how Kang Shin has fought some species who solely depended on tech to reach the stage before losing and getting trapped.

About the only 'isekai' part might be where his spear 'teacher' ascended to, but that has nothing to do with Kang Shin. He's still within his own universe.

It should probably be more surprising that the toilet wasn't introduced sooner if he was capable of making it. He was shown spending so much time on magic which was necessary, but not nearly enough trying to make smaller improvements to technology.

Yes, It's a well done isekai. It slowed down a little during the halfway mark, but if you like something more easy going and lighthearted it's not that big of a deal.
