Just finished watching this.
Who else miff by ending? Pretty shit desu that they chose to sink tokyo just for the sake of a happy ending. Shitkai sold out on us, the old shinkai will never do this.
Also how the fuck would Mitsuha meet Taki now when half the city is sunk?
Tenki no ko

Its basicly Your Name 2.0. Your Name was fresh and bring interesting romance stuff while WWY is just copypaste to make bucks.
> the old shinkai will never do this
didn't he do this already in one of his movies?
dooming cities
It is so formulaic and tiring now.
Not one by two fucking insert song -> SoL scenes
I am sure I am not the only thinking that she should have stay dead
>I am sure I am not the only thinking that she should have stay dead
pretty divided actually
>Also how the fuck would Mitsuha meet Taki now when half the city is sunk?
Musubi.
where did you watch it?
don't say in a theater in japan
your name was better than wwy anyways. They really tried so hard to make wwy as a sequel to your name.
OP here I watched the Blu-ray RIP
He needs to make something more violent and dramatic instead of sticking to the same supernatural formula
agreed, they could have done something with hodaka's past and the coincidental gun.
This, they should have made Hina an enkou before becoming a sunshine girl. They could have met while he was there at the hostess club
Not that user
Where did you get it? Most sites I look into don't have it
Just go watch it at your local cinema.
Shinkai movies are normalfag movies now, it has a worldwide release, are you living in africa or some backwater country?
what do you live in Japan? in the US it won't be in theaters until next fucking year, I'm waiting on a fansub or something to leak
even in fucking SEA its been out since last Saturday. Wdym in America it will be released next year?
>next fucking year
Might as well just watch the bluray since it will be out by then
slashfilm.com
apparently it'll screen in "select theaters" sometime this year and then general release next year
I'm not in a high population state so I'd be flying somewhere probably on the off chance that I manage to land a ticket
>GKIDS has set an awards qualifying run for 2019 with a theatrical release in early 2020 in both the original Japanese and a new English language version.
>new English language version.
Nowonder you burgers have to wait until next year for it. They have to re-sing the insert songs in english.
im a seanigger
yeah man and I'm not even going to listen to that shit, I listened to liked 15 seconds of one of the english remakes from Your Name and got sick of it
are you OP? does your blu ray have english subs?
not the op, I watched in in the theaters
being a burger truly is suffering
I'm going to watch this 3 times in Taiwan on the 12th. I really fucking hope there are English subs because I literally understand 20 Chinese words
So who watched this multiple times in the theater?
7 is the limit for me.
Why would you watch it multiple time?
It is just a popcorn flick, that said scene with Hina at the rooftop praying for the fireworks festival was pretty kino.
Your name is literally my favorite movie of all time and I missed out on my chance to watch it in theaters. Weathering with You seems to have a happy ending like YN so I want to watch it multiple times.
>Two happy endings in row
Did Shinkai finally left behind his edgy phase?
Your name had a better ending imo because the climax as their relationship developed was better than wwy
I watched it three times, the first one as part of a Marathon with Your Name.
Honestly, it gets better with each viewing.
Ehh, I felt Your Name’s climax had zero tension when the beginning of the movie gave away they’d survive.
Who is the distributor?
If it is encore then it come with both chink/eng subs and the typesetters are actually better than crunchyshit/funimation.
no idea
Why are ESLs so stupid?
My SEA cinema used the same script or almost the same script for tbe English track as the Australian showings, the original distributor might be giving the same script to everyone worldwide.
