Even more specific is that the character only had a single character arc or development. The concept of a character having dimensions can also apply to having different “sides”, not in a bipolar way, but for example Rem being at odds with herself at her feelings about Subaru. How she has this burning desire to monopolize him, she feels something akin to jealousy towards Emilia, Beatrice, Ram, etc which is at odds with her abysmal self esteem. Rem being one dimensional I assume would be saying something like how Rem exists to suck Subaru’s dick or something and nothing else
