Not really, no. Ignoring the obvious examples, tying everything into one villain, who is just a medical experiment, was a big misstep that will leave the manga with nowhere to go, and let's not kid ourselves, there is no plan to end this after Muzan dies.

It does well for a shonen, good design, apealing story for kids, it fits perfectly, if you are looking for complexity, deep characters, then maybe you shouldn't be reading shounen, there are exceptioms but again, is for kids.

No, it's not like Dragonball at all. EVERYTHING ties into Muzan. The entire protagonist force, every enemy power, all of Tanjiro's mentors, hell, everyone he ever met, all the background lore, Tanjiro's lineage, etc. There is nothing left to develop once he's gone, and the manga will have to start from scratch,

So how is that different from DBZ? Once Frieza was gone Toriyama just came up with the Androids who had nothing to do with Frieza except for the fact that a robot bee got Frieza's dna for cell, and the Majin Buu saga has even less to do with Cell than Cell had to do with Frieza.

They can always asspull something, like muzan getting his power from something else

Then by that logic they can just drag back the doctor that created Muzan, or the magic blue flower that Muzan wants. You can always bullshit something out if you want to extend the manga.
