This year has been really disappointing compared to 2018. Anyway, what is your top ten so far? If you can name ten decent anime this year that's it.

Mob psycho S2 alone beats anything from 2018.
Mob is AOTY so far but I agree with OP that 2018 was consistently better. Winter was the best season and I've only liked a few shows since then
I literally can't. This year has been fucking garbage.
mob shitco is garbage
Im pretty sure someone also made a thread identical to this last year, comparing it to 2017 and how much better that was to 2018. Just stop watching anime all together and do a more productive hobby, you fatfucks.
Faggot
Where's VEG and Franxx, two of the lousiest show in winter?
>top ten
Dunno. The only thing that I'm watching is Tejina senpai. Other than that watching anime from my backlog is way more interesting for me that trying to watch anything from this season.
My AOTY is unironically boogie
season 2 never
I don't have a top 10 this year, I can tell a top 5 though, in no particular order:
Kemurikusa
Fruits Basket
Hitoribocchi
Dumbell
Dr.Stone
And Fall not looking any good so, I doubt I can fill those 5 spots left.
Isn't it interesting how much the perception of 2018 shows changed once the mob mentality settled down?
Excepting Sora Yori, that entire list was cast aside. Turns out only VEG and Sora Yori were worth something to the elevens.
>capeshit
The former is now the 17th of all time and the latter is just another pile of mediocrity stuck in the endless three digit rank.
Bermuda Triangle was better than Mob Psycho.
>If you can name ten decent anime this year that's it.
I can't since I dropped nearly every show I've watched but is probably my favorite show of the year since it's so refreshing.
The only shows that I finished watching this year were wataten, endro, manaria friends, mob psycho 2, doukyounin wa hiza, iskeai quartet and I'll probably only finish watching lord el meloi case files this season. So I guess that's my top list.
They didn't even make it to the top 20.
>moeshit, shounenshit and isekaishit
Yup, it's the new generation of anime 'fans'.
>wataten, endro, manaria friends
Why aren't you watching Machikado Mazoku then? I dropped it but it seems like the show that you may enjoy
i can barely remember anything i watched this year that i even found interesting aside from mob psycho
>Mob Timeflop
>Pop Team Epic included
>Goblin Slayer included
>No mob psycho S2
The absolute state of otaku shitbrains
B-But the wise anons told me Goblin Slayer was garbage and nips hated it.
I've been watching anime since 2008 but there's not much that catches my attention nowadays.
I might check it out, looks a bit contrived though.
2018 wasn't that good of a year.
I mostly remember being disappointed in a bunch of show from then.
Gridman was the only truly stand out show.
I thought VEG was popular and well-received in Japan and VEGfags insisted everything else was a "time flop". Why isn't it in Japan's top 10?
>time flops and flops
Alright, what's the demographic chart of that poll.
I haven't even watched 10 shows this year.
Everyone, it was the NicoNico Grand Prix award.
Wataten
Endro
Manaria Friends
Ueno-san
Senko-san
Bocchi
Million Arthur
Machikado
Re:Stage
Miru Tights
No idea about the order of them but they're probably the 10 best ones.
This was the top 20
11 Slime
12 Umamusume
13 Lupin III Part 5
14 Overlord III
15 Steins;Gate: 0
16 Hinamatsuri
17 Golden Kamuy
18 Takagi-san
19 AOT Season 3
20 Planet With
No vegtard, no franxtrash, no bunny reddit.
In order of how much I've enjoyed them.
>1 Maou Retry
>2 Isekai Quartet
>3 Kaguya-sama
>4 Nakanohito Genome
>5 Kimetsu no Yaiba
>6 Bungou Stray Dogs 3
>7 Mahou Shoujo Spec-Ops Asuka
>8 Cop Craft
>9 Tate no Yuusha
>10 Symphogear
Not the most popular or best selling shows but they've served their purpose. They're the only ones I can say I've wanted to watch the next episode as soon as I could every week.
But somehow the garbage fire that was Steins;Gate 0 made it.
>no bunny
based
>Great
Kemurikusa
Senko-san
>Good
Hitoribocchi
Dumbbell
Wataten
Mob Psycho 2
>Need-more-shows-to-add-up-to-ten tier
Endro
Choukadou Girl 1/6
Sarazanmai?
Vinland Saga?
Really clutching straws by the end there. 2018 was indisputably better
Has this year had a big original non manga adaptation roller coaster show everyone talks about yet? Last year had ditf but i cant think of anything from this year
we're getting a few of those next season i think
The VN for it was good but the anime was terrible.
Kemurikusa? More of a cult thing even for Yea Forums
Ah. That explains it.
>Not the most popular or best selling shows
>2 Isekai Quartet
>3 Kaguya-sama
>5 Kimetsu no Yaiba
>9 Tate no Yuusha
>10 Symphogear
Ok
Like what?
Like psycho-pass 3
From that list which were the time flops and which were the flops?
Eh i doubt it. Sequels tend to have a much fewer audience and never hit as hard as s1, especially in psycho pass's case. On top of that i have little hope for this considering how s2 turned out
Kemurikusa.
>Muh goblin slayer is bad
Westernfags BTFO.
>5 Kirara shows last year vs only 1 this year
That explains it
That's actually a good thing. I do not like them that much. They are usually way too cute or too yuri for my taste.
Granbelm
1)Machikado
2)Wataten
3)Endro
4)Kemurikusa
5)Senko
6)Bermuda
7)Bocchi
8)Manaria
9)Ueno
10)Shield
In no particular order:
Snk 3
Fire force
Vinland
Dr Stone
Senko
Dumbell
Sarazanmai
Dororo
Endro
Kotobuki
Time flops:
>Zombieland Saga
>SSSS.Gridman
>A Place Further than the Universe
>Yuru Camp
>Cells at Work!
>Pop Team Epic
>Goblin Slayer
>JoJo Part 5
Flops:
>Asobi Asobase
>Bloom Into You
There's already like 4 confirmed for 2020 though, sorry user.
Best OST of the year and episode 10 is still EOTY for me
Am I the only one here that thinks 2019 is better than 2018? This season alone is the reason as it was probably a little worse before, but 2018 is statistically (average of highest 20 shows) the worst year on my spreadsheet this decade.
Granbelm
You are not actually using MAL scores as a measure of anything, right?
No. This is my personal excel spreadsheet. My subjective ratings.
This alone makes 2019 a better year
does fruits basket get good? I decided to watch the new series for nostalgia for the old anime/manga but I dropped it before I could get to ep10.
1. Machikado Mazoku
2. Endro
3. Kemurikusa
4. Cop Craft
5. Ueno
I can't think of ten and I'm already pushing it with 4 and 5.
I've wondered this too. Some shoujo and Josei I just find utterly boring despite it being well made.
I think the top tier shows of 2019 are better than the ones of 2018 but the overall quality keeps declining.
>Not the most popular or best selling shows but they've served their purpose
>about half of those are some of the most popular and best selling shows of their season
Yeah you're not sheep user. Keep telling yourself that.
I would agree with that. The entire average is likely worse. The average of the top X is likely better.
Machikado, Endro, and Symphogear XV were enough to justify the whole year.
I don't think Zombieland, GS and JoJo are time flops, though.
Pop Team Epic Special
Sarazanmai
Mob Psycho 100 II
Hulaing Babies
Joshikousei no Mudazukai
High Score Girl: Extra Stage
Kaguya-sama
Ekoda-chan
Virtual-san wa Miteiru
Yakusoku no Neverland
Honorable mentions go to Chou Kadou Girl, Boogiepop, Wataten and Dimension High School
Ep 10 is the standout ep of the show and the point when it became my AOTS.
the animation in it before I dropped it was consistent and very well done. Same with the OST I don't think i'll finish the show but i'll probably download whatever song they used in the announcement trailer

Attack on Titan
One Punch Man
Blue Exorcist
Black Butler
Seven Deadly Sins
Boruto
Gundam
Jojo's Bizarre Adventure
Dragon Ball Super
Fate
JoJo's hard to be a floor when it's a living meme with more parts coming. Zombieland has come life from the second season. APFTTU as much as I loved it might be.
2018 was also a shit year. Yuru Camp, PTE and Jojo are the only good shows in your image.
AOTY: girly air force
In no order:
Kaze ga tsuyoku fuiteiru
Araburu kisetsu
Kenja no mago
3D Kanojo S2
Ao-chan benkyou dekinai
Re: Stage! Dream Days
JoJo part 5
Gyakuten Saiban S2
Dr. Stone
This year really sucked
Jojo is the only one that is objectively not a time flop.
Both are bad. franxx only had its marketing gimmick going for it while VEG only its pity sales
Still haunts me bros
Part of it because of the multiple parts that keep it alive
Granbelm last episode is kino as fuck, shame that no one is watching the show
>1 Mob Psycho 100 Season 2
>2 Dr. Stone
>3 Jojo Part 5
>4 Fruits Basket
>5 Vinland Saga
Literally everything else is shit. Didn't even like the Kaguya-sama adaptation, really.
I thought Jap taste is garbage. Am I being lied by Yea Forums again?
>didn't watch Sarazanmai
Jojo counts as 2018, though.
>Has this year had a big original non manga adaptation roller coaster show everyone talks about yet?
Symphogear XV
Every new episode gets threads with 1500, 1600, 1700 and sometimes 1800 posts.
Shh, we don't need more newfags in the threads.
>Machikado
>Jojo Part 5
>Wataten
>Joshikausei
>Danberu
>Endro
>Senko-san
>Bocchi
>Isekai Quartet
>Ueno-san
Normally wouldn't add Jojo, but I've only finished nine anime this year so far. Next season is complete ass, so I don't expect this list to change.
This might actually be the best fight of the entire year so far.
streamable.com
For perspective, 2018 for me was:
>Sora Yori
>Yuru Camp
>Jojo Part 5
>Jashin-Chan Dropkick
>Slow Start
>SSSS.GRIDMAN
>Anima Yell!
>Comic Girls
>Darling in the Franxx
>Harukana Receive
>shitbelm
Redpill me on Ernesta, user.
The too angry to die redhead with mommy issues had put the show on my radar but fine I'll actually watch it. I had planned on starting it soon anyways
Imagine not having Fruits Basket on your list.
Used to watch most shows every season but this year's stuff just looked bland as fuck.
Watched and dropped:
>Winter: Promised Neverland, Slime (dropped), JoJo part 5 (dropped), Dororo (dropped)
>Spring: SnK s3part2, Carole & Tuesday, Sarazanmai (dropped)
>Summer: Vinland Saga, Cop Craft (dropped)
SnK s3part2 > Vinland Saga = Carole & Tuesday > Promised Neverland
Redpill on yuru camp
Why'd they leave out the best series of that year?
The first part of sheildbro
>cute girls written with quite a bit of depth
>great, comfy soundtrack
>pretty good animation
>excellent art direction
>comfy setting (camping near Mount Fuji)
>learn all sorts of neat stuff about camping and being outdoors
It's just an all around good show that captures the comfy camping aesthetic perfectly.
>>cute girls written with quite a bit of depth
There's no need to exaggerate. There's no depth to the characters and that's fine.
>>pretty good animation
Where's the hill webm?
This, the only way to validate your opinion is to have Fruits Basket in your top list.
This is pretty much my list too but replacing Ueno with Danberu. It's been a great year for yuribait so far
We don't talk about this anymore.
>Flop Shitco
>2018
>mob
The absolute state of mobtards.
