Hino-san plays safe, that's why. And with Cheerful amnesia well, the whole drama is Arisa losing the memory, which it plays masterfully avoiding all possible retarded drama.

It was a great choice to cut out any chance of the drama you'd expect from amnesia by the end of the first page.
This series from the first couple of chapters felt it could do similar, where the only drama is one of them being shy and it's just trying to make silly situations for the brother to try and help. Considering this already has them both recognise their feelings by chapter 5 it's hard to know where this will go now.

You should know how those stories work, sort of like My unrequited love, they'll always find excuses to reafirm their "love".

Most authors are pretty consistent on whether they pad their stories with retarded drama or not. Hino-san's author's other series (Smile Style) was completely drama-free too until he needed to wrap it up.
