Have you watched it? How's the translation?
I've watched nine episodes so far. It's okay, less tl notes and localization than I expected, but still some to be had.
Also, I think a Brit wrote them, since "bloody" enters Marii's vocab about 4-5 times. Also, they use "u wot m8" style dialogue in some of the rakugo snippets at episode beginnings.
Let me know what the best adjustments are for time, since I'm almost certain they're off.

She was, and Gan actually did name Susan Boyle in the original Japanese. Just not sure she mentioned that particular performance.

This is how all subtitles from DVDs and Blurays work. They have to be OCRed to be converted to text.

I have so many Joshiraku reaction images I never get to use anymore.
SRT is ass for anything with TL notes or typesets since it doesn't preserve sub position. Not sure what people have against image subs anyway since they're perfectly fine on Blu-ray since it's not some fuzzy aliased DVD crap.
Did you enjoy the travel segments more or the indoor stuff?
Both are good, but the manga adaptation bits are better.
I don't know who Maiden Japan are but I can say that releasing Joshiraku on a dying format was a mistake.
