This goes double by how luxuriously happy go lucky everybody is when not knee deep in monster territory.

I felt that Year One started off really strong, Arc Mage and her interaction was really good for GS but I can't help but to feel the disconnect between how the characters treat GS in Year One is the same 5 years later when the main story starts, the status quo shouldn't have stayed the same with GG being his only cheerleader for so long.
