Nah. The average wait time is ~45 days for a chapter if you average it out. Tsukushi says he spends about 2 hours on 1 panel and given the average number of panels on 1 page and the average number of pages per chapter and the average number of hours worked per week, it actually came out to be pretty close. As in, if he worked 40-hour weeks, 45 days is about how long it would take for a chapter to come out. of course chapters will be slower to come out if he's working on things like the anime, movies, VR, and doujins.

Check out how sparagmos and reg's "incinerator" don't actually destroy stuff: they seem to unravel things into strings which warp out into the ether (ie probably getting absorbed by the field). It's a subtle but consistent effect in both the anime and manga and gets some dialogue drawing attention to it. Seems likely it'll have something to do with the idea of everything "returning to the abyss".

And, without going too deep into it, the 5th/6th layer boundary is a giant cervix filled with fetus monsters. Getting reborn down there doesn't seem that weird.

We don't have any reason to think that. Prushka's inner monologue before getting stoned was ultimately about her desire to delve with Riko, and that's the only WW creation process we've witnessed. Plus Bondrewed literally ordered Prushka to befriend them and then contrived circumstances to force them through hardship together so she would care about them. No way that wasn't all according to Bonedaddy's keikaku.

Ozen's delver squad seem to have similar personalities, even facial expressions (and haircuts!) to her. Makes sense.
Bondrewds squat seemed similarly aligned with his personality before we found out that they're... really aligned.
Lyza was trained by Ozen because their personalities clicked, and seems to have picked up a catchphrase from her, or vise versa.

It's kind of an appealing idea because of the tragedy of all of Irumyuui's rage being directed at the one person who cared and tried to protect her and her children (but she's still one of "them").

Veko's dialogue on this page seems to me like she's expressing her hatred for the people who made Iru the way she is, and considering where she presently is inside of Iru, it is very easy to imagine those feelings got projected onto Faputa, who may not have been made with revenge in mind for Iru whatsoever. Nothing about Iru's actions in chapter 51 are consistent with her wanting everyone dead. She's the one who crawled up to the cliff side as a meat pillar and did not jump, she could have doomed them all right then and there. She's the one who gave everyone refuge in herself and protects them to this day. She seems to have accepted what she is. On the other hand, Veko sees what Iru has done as "trapping them all in" to be slaughtered, perhaps inaccurately, because she wants it to be so.

Irumyuui may not the one who couldn't forgive them, it could have been Veko who "corrupted' Faputa. It makes more sense to me than what was flatly stated due to the attitudes of Veko versus the actions of Iru.

The small details on Bondrewd's clothes are a little vague in a lot of shots, and sometimes things change drastically. For instance his whistle being on the side of his coat's chest, while others it being in the middle. I think this changes after a body death, maybe? The anime is great and faithful to the manga. The character art is a little less detailed, but the backgrounds are fucking fantastic, which helps build a much stronger sense for the setting than you might get from the manga alone.

I went anime-->manga and I'd recommend that to others.

And also given Veko's statement about how she didn't know what layers were when Riko talked to her about the 6th layer. The Ganja Squad seemed to made it down to the "6th layer" rather quickly without knowing how deep the hole actually is, and actually managing to travel down to what is supposedly 15,000 meters with no prior experience or equipment.

It's interesting to think that the Abyss might be the centre of a cycle of universal rebirth, in which case the Abyss itself would be the only place that civilisation could persist... yet the Abyss can have its own destructors like Faputa and maybe those dragons before her.

Like, maybe time slows down as you approach the elevator, then speeds up again (in the reverse direction) as you get deeper below Layer 6. Right now it's supposedly "chaos" beneath, but what happens if it becomes shallower over time and Ido eventually reaches the surface? Maybe time does "end"--we become chaos--but creation rebounds in the opposite direction, with a new world on the opposite side, and the cycle continues backwards in time for a while. Inverting eternally.

That'd make the Golden City the previous cycle's equivalent to Orth.

Getting way out into speculation territory here but if relics and Your Worth are really the same thing (ie every relic is a person who desired themselves to be changed into something useful while they were passing through the singularity) then the Abyss growing on one side while shrinking on the other side might explain why relics are more elaborate the deeper you go.
If the shallowest layers are the oldest ones, then they would have been close to the elevator/"ritual site" long ago. So there'd both be less abyss on this side of the singularity (which might contribute to how much transformative power is accessible), and the entities being transformed might at the time have been simpler, with simpler desires.
As the Abyss grows deeper, it's both later in time and much more of a test to reach the ritual site, so those who reach it have more complex minds and desires by the time they get there.

I think the point was more that a dumb top-heavy plastic arrangement like that is practically the best way to make it jiggle as much as possible.
(It's also ugly and requires you to hold the silver part without touching the bulb which is also dumb)

But off the top of my head you could make it a lot better by using two glass balls, one nested inside the other, with an oil or something between them with refractive indices matched such that the second ball isn't obvious. Then have it weighted as heavily as possible on the bottom and as light as possible on the top. You could cheat and do this by having the inner ball be thicker on the bottom (actually easy to accomplish while blowing the glass) and it wouldn't be obvious because of the orientation. There's some technical considerations and other optimisations I'll skip over but I think it could work pretty well.
Then sell it for $300 because it is a precious relic.

I’d actually been considering a theory like this when first reading - the main evidence wasn’t Ganja, but instead the structures in the upper layers (ie. 2000 year old ruins in the first layer, the windmills that Riko says are 4000 years old in the second, the fact that somehow a fucking boat is embedded in the cliffs of the third layer).

Maybe the abyss grants itself a new “first layer” at the end of every cycle.

It ain't magic but at least with moderately slow movements like the kind you'd be doing when trying to inspect it for wobble it should be very hard to impart momentum to the inner sphere over gravity.

Actually I'm already anticipating the spergery and it's in my head so I'll just say it.

You start with a hollow, possibly lead-tipped inner needle, and blow the inner bulb around/through it.
If necessary (this comes down to density/buoyancy calculations which depend on the choice of lubricant, which depends on refraction, which depends on the choice of glass, which is research/calculations I'm not doing now) you then tip the needle with a bearing to keep the lubricant layer spacing correct. The bearing is basically invisible because it forms the point itself (think of a ballpoint pen) and the needle penetrates bulb.
If it's not necessary you just seal the tip or insert your lead weighting tip here (because you made the rest of the needle out of something low-density to keep the upper part light).
Finally you join the two hemispheres of the outer sphere around it, with the lube between. With a good fit the seam could be nearly invisible, but you align it with the outer metal ring just in case (plus you need to fit the ring somewhere and that's a logical place).
