It's not bad.
I don't remember much of the anime but it became kinda weird after ep6 or 7, diverging from the manga a LOT.
They teased some super power of Merry and later it went into limbo, never being spoken of again (dunno whether that scene already was canon or not though).
Either watch this until the aforementioned scene happens and continue to read the manga, or just read it from the beginning.
Unless you don't care either way, then just go for the full 12/13 eps.

Nah, the anime was really bad. So bad in fact, it managed to basically kill off most of the hype surrounding the manga. The manga however is top tier though, easily my favorite ongoing monthly series.
