This has been bugging me a lot. It would have been very easy to make it an isekai. Nezuko is the only character related to the mc. They could have started with mc and Nezuko falling into the isekai, Nezuko being bitten, and BAM. We have the same premise. But now it's isekai. Such a small change, and it immediately improves everything.

Why didn't this occur to the author? I understand that the manga has started some years ago, maybe isekai wasn't that popular back then. But they could have easily fixed this in the anime.

Kimetsu no Yaiba is about the malevolence itself , how people get there, and what you do with them. Tanjiro is practically a religious figure within the story. He responds to malevolence in a way that most people can't and/or won't, because it hurts too much. It's too sad to think about the awful things people will do just because they're lost and scared in the world, often too immature to deal with the things that get thrown at them.

that's really well put. the demons are people who've been consumed by the evil of the world, and Tanjiro handles their situation with awareness of reality but also forgives them and laments the loss of the good in them, usually causing them to show that good and prove it still exists.

I believe KNY will have a real ending because Wani has a avoided a lot of annoying shounen tropes and filler content so far, the story is very artistically respectable

hold on a moment, the old goblim mask fart told Tanjirou that only Muzan can convert humans to demons, so only Muzan could be the guy who killed his whole family. That's why Tanjirou knew the scent at his house was Muzan's, and on that basis he found Muzan in Tokyo.
But that basic premise is not true at all, upper moons can also convert humans by giving them Muzan's blood. So was it just blind luck in the end that the one who killed his family was actually Muzan and not one of the moons or something? Why did Muzan turn Nezuko and just leave her there unconscious anyway, every other demon we see at least got some kind of an explanation from him.

There will never be a proper character development for Nezuko, she's basically a mascot character and has been for a long time. Even currently after she's started to show even a tiny bit of development and started to verbalize, she's already receiving Tamayo's demon reversion drug and closing off that plotline completely.
