Would Goemon be a samurai or just a theif story?

One Piece - Wano Arc

funny that you post that pic, lone wolf and cub is the only manga I've read so far

>Movies
Harakiri 1962
>Novels
Musashi by Eiji Yoshikawa
>Manga
Orient
>Games
Muramasa Rebirth

Samurai 8

>Musashi by Eiji Yoshikawa
I've seen that novel recommended on numerous boards; Yea Forums, Yea Forums and even /his/. I really need to look into it already.

Is Lone wolf just a bunch of different stories tied together by the mc?
Or is there a single storyline for the later volumes across several of them?

I've read up to the second volume and there's definitely a sense of continuity. I can't say much because I don't think I've truly seen the story unfold, but there's certainly something there.

afro samurai

Samurai Pizza Cats.

Samurai stories are boring and you know it

Oda sword fights are boring he over uses the “teleport behind you slash”

I only watched the life action movie.

>movie
Fuck me, I meant series.

Sword of the stranger

Rurouni kenshin

I like the live action movies better than the anime and manga, the fight choreography is top tier.

it looks like absolute trash if you have working eyes, they butchered most of the techniques and important panels

Samurai Champloo

Can’t wait for the new movies.

That’s funny considering Rurouni Kenshin looks like an amateur shojo manga.

>talking about a series made by a pedo

>he can't separate the work from the author

Attached: 1561399608727.png (414x459, 263K)

why should you do that in this case, it's not like there's anything wrong with being a pedo

I agree. As long as you don't rape anyone, or endorse the rape of anyone, I don't consider you either a criminal nor a bad person.

Hyouge Mono
You're welcome

Does Samurai Jack count?

>endorse the rape of anyone
You mean like buying child porn?

>lol what’s wrong with being a pedo?
Yikes, staying away from Kenshin if it attaches that kind of people

Yes. Facilitating its production is without a doubt morally wrong, if not outright evil. Specially if its custom made, as they are sometimes. I am a bit iffier about people who pirate it; it's still bad, but not as bad since you're not putting money in the producer's pockets. Still, pedophiles should stick to either drawings, fictional stories or just avoid that part of their sexuality. I don't like the idea of repression except when it protects other people.

Don't deny it.

>Yes
Ok and that’s exactly what the mangaka of Kenshin did, buy child porn.

>Poor copy of the Eiji Yoshikawa novel and no ending
Meh

Well, then fuck him. I will still separate the story from the author, though.

>Harakiri 1962

Best book of my life and I read a lot.

Do I need to watch Samurai 8 first?

What’s your take on the Circle chapter?

oh boy I can't really recall, it's been nearly 5 years since I've read it and I don't have a particularly good memory

A true man of culture and all things aesthetic.

Attached: 1446858770582.png (1280x720, 521K)

Lone Wolf, Shigurui and Vagabond are the top 3

Vagabond obviously

Objectively correct answer: Miyamoto Musashi by Shotaro IshinoMori.
Sort of acceptable answers: Everyone else is wrong.

I hate that nowadays I need to ask for clarification, but child porn as in pornography of an actual human child made of meat in the physical world, or chinese scribble doodles that for some reason has become conflated with human suffering?

I'm and I would like to say that there's literally nothing with masturbating to 2D.

Yes, real flesh and blood people, not cartoon hentai which isn't even illegal in Japan like the former.

Well then, that's just awful.

Just some clarification that he had bought it legally before Japan outlawed it, but didn't dispose of it after the government ordered everyone to.

ah. Well, that's slightly more complicated. I guess a grandfather clause on child pornography would be a little too surreal, even for Japan.

Gintama

Wish more manga would use historic sword techniques

Theres an over arching plot about Ogami avenging his clans destruction but it doesn't kick into high gear for a while, the first few volumes are about him getting the capital together so that he can buy a revenge warrant, so it starts off a mostly one off stories. It kinda shits the bed in the end when the story keeps going back to the perspective of this pervert monk/assassin antagonist that overstays his welcome for like 4-5 volumes and just wouldn't fucking die

>All these great posts
>But no mention of Blade of the Immortal
C'mon guys how can you miss a book with such god tier art

Because they hate the ending but at least it has one unlike Vagabond

Is there any anime that displays Samurais and their head collecting hobby?

Attached: 1563260055177.png (956x860, 160K)

>hate the ending
They're just asshurt he doesn't fuck Rin, the ending was fine

>Samurais

Please recommend me some good mangas.
I think I've already read everything decent.

His death was damn great though.

I think the art is actually pretty bad. The guy can't draw movement without making an absolute dirty mess.

I liked Samurai Executioner for the slice of life take.

Takemitsu Zamurai

This as well.
Is that Hiroshi Hirata? What's his best manga?
>Miyamoto Musashi by Shotaro IshinoMori
Where can I find this?

Attached: Zam20001_zps190522d9.jpg (650x936, 660K)

It's been a while, but the writing was very unimpressive, so I dropped it after several volumes. The art was cool.

Bleach did

For me its Shigurui.

Attached: file.png (1456x1101, 2M)

Fucking great taste, user. What did you think of the film btw? I thought Miike did a good job at getting the tone right, even if it isn't a 1:1 adaption

Attached: Mugen no Jūnin.jpg (1000x866, 155K)

>im getting the capital together so that he can buy a revenge warrant
Oh, so that's what the money are for. Makes perfect sense in the context though I have no idea if that was actually a thing.

Its just a generic bullshit samurai story with 0 appeal.

Yeah, which is why it got 5 movies, inspired a shitload of manga, inspired comics, and is considered a classic of the medium.

>Orient
isn't it just Magi but with samurai? I heard it isn't doing very well

Either Sidooh or BotI, followed by Takemitsu. Don't think I've really enjoyed any others. Haven't tried LWC though, because Hanzou no Mon bored me to death.

This was good, too, although I think it's kind of a different genre.
