XV has been so consistently excellent I haven't even needed to turn my brain off. Everything feels like a natural extension of previous seasons. Like how Grandpa Kazanari's fear of American intervention came to a head with last season's nukes so now he feels justified in whatever megalomaniacal bullshit he comes up with.
Noble Red's weak-but-ruthless gimmick has been great. Also the way their abuse made them internalize themselves as monsters and become so obsessed with recovering their physical humanity they never really noticed the point they became sociopaths.

Millaarc is a born monster. As a vampire, she's a monster inside, with a veneer of humanity outside. She still thinks she deserves being saved because she lacks self awareness and believes that she wouldn't be a monster if she had a human body (No different than how the point of the vampire legend is the corruption in the hearts of men: Their depravity and debauchery are their own choosing, covered with their finery.) She thinks she deserves her humanity back, without ever understanding she never had it.
Vanessa represents a made monster. Her circumstances have changed her and her humanity is twisted. Like Frankenstein's Monster, she is devastated by the treatment by her creators/saviors, who reduced her to an object after her "death". She loathes the humanity she's no longer a part of, and derives satisfaction from their loss and pain. This is why she's so cruel in combat. She recognizes that she likely doesn't deserve humanity, but seeks it none of the less, because deserve has nothing to do with reality.
Elsa represents the afflicted monster. She's not a good person; but does not really fall outside the realm of humanity despite her body. Like the werewolf, she mostly desires normalcy, but her affliction denies it to her. This is represented in her structure by the detached nature of her weapon: If Elsa went without her combat symbiotes, she could pass for human (Maybe try a hat?). She takes the lost of her humanity the hardest because she "was" the most human out of the group. She fundamentally wanted and deserved her shot, but was ham-stringed by her companion's baggage.
She exists as a statement that Noble Red's bodies were never the source of their inhumanity: Even as a full monster, Elsa is still well inside a reasonable moral definition of human. That's why they're pushing her now, for whatever change of heart they intend by the end.

When NR stole the screentime AGAIN and kept talking about their bullshit humanity redemption while also succeeding at their objective, Tsubasa was the only one to get there and start fucking them over (not counting the old amalgam PU beatdown on dog), while also saving the "get on the moon" mission.
It's a good ending. They could also send the geahs by rocket but it's still a good way to do it.

AXZ only slowed midway in the more MoTW episodes. First 3-4 episodes in South America were all 10/10. Last few episodes were all great with Saint-Germain and the struggle for god power (plus Adam was a smooth mofo).
The meh parts were when they had to take down the Alchemists, not bad, but not as good and it happened in Japan. Going to South America was such a good idea to make things more entertaining before the final battle.
Also, Hibiki had the best one-liner here.

She's also a trained combatant: The cuffs are staying on until she's cleared, because to do anything else is negligent to the safety of other personnel.

There was a *lot* going on here. It's hard to say who was in the right and who was in the wrong, but overall I think it all basically worked out as it should have.
Tsubasa was out of line, was clearly out of spec for her role as a paramilitary operative, and needed to be detained and punished for it. In the process, she was denied the ability to go to her father's funeral as a free person. She could have gone as a woman in chains. She chose not to, because to go in cuffs would have sullied her father's memory. At the same time, to miss her father's funeral would have put a heavy burden on Tsubasa's soul. It's a devastating but ultimately fair price.
With all that past, we can move on together.
The sword has suffered mightily for her team and for her country. To heap further scorn upon her is to denigrate the sacrifice she has already endured.

But she was conscious. Manipulation and control are two different things. The former requires some level of willingness from the target which is what happened here and what makes it so delicate. They need to observe her and find out what's on her head before even considering let her back on the streets. As for the gears observing her that's a bad idea as all of them are emotionally involved with the suspect and thus have their priorities as agents compromised. Tsubasa's case must be attended with an approach as neutral and impartial as possible. She's just too strong and too unstable to do otherwise.
