I think Kuga's sign may be a reference to an old TV show, but it's hard to find real evidence about these sort of things.

That's all for today. A vibraslap almost seems too normal for Kuga. She should have a waterphone or something.

If there was a teacher like sensei when I was in school I might have actually joined a club.

Are you a nip or do they have school clubs in other places?

I thought school clubs were a thing everywhere.

Not in europe or at least north-west europe.

American. I didn't know clubs weren't common. They didn't look anything like in anime though.

Savage

Who is that tiny new character?

Sensei seems fun to be around with.

Wholesome.

They are here mostly in middle school, it's rare to see a high-school with "clubs", and it's mostly sports.

So this is an art club...

>Who is that tiny new character?
(User was cursed for this post)

Holy fuck Sora.

we had school clubs but they were in name only, everyone would pick one in the beginning of the year and that was the entirety of the club experience.

I feel I can be good friends with Kei.
Why was she so happy at the thought of getting new members? I think the club already got enough members.
Just another day of normal club activities.
Ice cold.
Thanks for the chapter OP. A really fun chapter. Kuga probably grabbed the first intrument she got, I bet there are more strange instruments in the club.
Not on my country. Even if they were, they would be way more disappointing.

>Why was she so happy at the thought of getting new members
More members, bigger budget. Then she really could take a club trip.

Huh, I didn't knew about that. Now I know why on anime there are scenes about clubs being aggressive on getting new members at the start of each school year.

i dont get it why did she break the sculpture?

The details vary by school, but there's often also a minimum number of members needed before you get a budget. That's why getting promoted from "circle" or "society" to "club" is so important.

This makes me think of all those diaries and photo albums that just get dumped when a childless person dies.

God, that manlet meme is true?!

Why is she so desperate for new members? More money to break more busts?

They really are used to their teacher, aren't they?

Thanks OP. Kuga needs a slide whistle so she can be there in the background and provide sound effects when people or busts fall.

Not unless you like football (boys) or hockey (girls).

>Why is she so desperate for new members? More money to break more busts?
Probably to take a club trip, or buy more Brutus-kun.

They should just make a rule that sensei isn't allowed to move them. Or if she breaks one, she has to pay for it.

>They should just make a rule that sensei isn't allowed to move them.
More like a rule that sensei should not be near busts at any moment. She broke one just by bumping into it.
>Or if she breaks one, she has to pay for it.
In that case, she better take advice from Tori-chan on how to live with little money.

Maybe the corner is best for her then.

sometimes I forget that Kuga is only 140cm tall

Sometimes it's all I can think about.

Attached: 2472438_p0.jpg (600x600, 156K)

Cute manga, I like the skinny mute one. Is it wrong that I find her sexy?

Yes. You shouldn't be sexually attracted to noodles.

...what is sexy about her?

>implying you wouldn't slurp those noodles

Maybe, but I've never been sexually attracted to any food.

>You shouldn't be sexually attracted to noodles
I love noodles, though. They're delicious.

Even the rumored Japanese pasta?

What's that, exactly?

Only Keito knows.

How old are these skinny teens?

What other manga has the artist created?

Scorebook.

No way would Kuga have something like a waterphone, a theremin or a synthesizer like a synclavier, she would just scare herself.

as a brit we had a couple sports clubs, I was in the rugby club, although we did do some minor mini bus trips to local matches it was nothing like a sports manga
though the rugby club I joined later resembled Grand Blue in a few ways

actually why is it so hard to find a good rugby manga that aren't depressingly homoerotic, although fulldrum isn't bad but the rugby kind of isn't that well depicted which makes me think they are only using reference material and don't have direct experience

there were a load of independent youth clubs in the local area like young stagers who performed plays and developed acting and production talents..

sure it sounds fun, but you'll end up with manlets or goblinas

and now I'm remembering my plan from last year to learn japanese so I could enjoy the rugby world cup more.....fuck

>No onee-san, I don't know where your bra is, why do you keep asking me?

>why is it so hard to find a good rugby manga
To be honest, I'm surprised that there is a rugby manga. I don't think the average person even knows how it's played.

Japan's holding the rugby world cup soon
series like all out were actually used in the promotion despite the gay

anyone know a way I could get moderately good at broken japanese in about 3 weeks?

Wow I didn't realise the world cup was so soon. I'm excited, Japan were a real surprise in the last one and I'd love to see them get into the knockouts this time. They came so close.

the fact that they actually managed to beat South Africa is mind blowing

Shouldn't surprise me that it exists, but I've never even heard about russian rugby team. Only sports that are actually popular there are football and hockey.

Is there any civilized nation that actually cares about rugby?

Botswana?

Mmmh ... I guess you could count that as civilized ...

>Is there any civilized nation that actually cares about rugby?
I assume this is bait?
It requires certain climatic ranges and cultural structures that favour various playing types but it's pretty popular in a worldwide sense. what are you defining as developed?

>pretty popular in a worldwide sense
Is there any way to measure that? If I had to guess, I wouldn't put it in the top 10 sports.

let's just look at developed nations then, Cnada, Australia, New Zealand, UK, Argentina, Italy, France, South Africa (or at least it was a developed nation), Uruguay and a growing presence in the USA.

Indeed.

Please put spoilers on such a frightening image.

Is this true? I always forced myself to eat cucumbers in Japanese meals, but hated them.

I can relate to Sora.

They're one of the least nutritious vegetables, but still better than a lot of other foods.

A strange game. The only winning move is not to play.
Thanks as always. Tanake and Kei looks more normal than the art club members, but I guess that's not a hard thing.

Surely the cheapest thing is to bring your own lunch?

It's whale!

Someone should get Hotaru from Dagashi Kashi onto this revolutionary idea!

Now Asou know how Sora can get used to the art club so easily.

Thanks OP.

They look like those dishwasher soap tablets, with the powerball in the middle.

Thanks for the chapter, user!

>Everyone is different.
Not me. I'm the same.

>You can call me Takane.
Asou can call me whatever she likes.

Sora is strange.

Sora is very strange.

Oh, and I like cucumbers. They're full of water, and water is healthy.

it is the powerhouse of the cell of course, whats with the japanese education system.

>the powerhouse of the cell
Sorry, user, but that's not a scientifically accurate term. No points for that answer. What's wrong with [insert user's homecountry here]'s education system?

>Asou can call me whatever she likes.
So are you going to be Mike 5?

That's Sora's naming scheme, not Asou's.
But, sure, if Asou wants to call me that, she may.

From the puppets, we can probably infer that it's a westernish name.

WHO SCARES LIZARDS LIKE THAT

I like how wide she gets.

How wide is that, exactly?

The game.

About 0.8 Umes.

>0.8 Umes
David Humes? He was quite wide indeed!

Hummus? Yeah, it's easy to eat too much.

Eat too much humus? As in ... earth and sediment? Why would you want to eat that?

Wait, are you not a worm?

No. But I've been to the Worms Cathedral. Does that count?

worms have cathode ray screens? i'm jealous.

Only if you slithered around on the floor while you were there.

>Only if you slithered around on the floor while you were there.
Of course. That's customary procedure.

why are sketchbook threads so full of random drivel?

What random drivel?

This is completely on topic drivel.

Bump!

the topic meanders

The topic evolves, user.

Personally I think they are boring.

this manga is more interesting than i thought

Given what we've seen of Sora, Ao probably has to help her put on her bra every day because she's too autistic to work out the straps and hooks without getting tangled in them.

thank you user

Bump!!

Wait, whitefish isn't actually a fish name?

The topic gets lost because the map was forgotten at home and the driver refuses to ask for directions.

>the driver refuses to ask for directions.
My display driver always does that ...

How old are these characters?

Old enough.

grannies.

They should be like 28-30 now

>28-30
That's ... -2.
How is that even possible?

old enough to be my girlfriend

What would they be like at 30?

Older.

Like sensei? Terrifying.

Sensei should be 50 by now.

Only 50?

Well, she doesn't look much older than her mid-30s in the manga, does she?

Kuga has 3 kids and a very perplexed husband.

No one knows.

Yeah, maybe she's dead by now.

as if she can survive childbirth 3 times.

The husband just needs to collect 39 orbs of light.

I had a Kate moment.
Why does れんしゅう and けんしゅう mean the same, have the same Hiragana ending but are not the same Kanji?

>mean the same
They don't.
練習 is repeating a skill you already have to get better at it.
研修 is learning a new skill with the implication it's led by an instructor, like a training class.

>研修 is learning a new skill
Why would learning a new skill use the Kanji for polish/sharpen?

>Why would learning a new skill use the Kanji for polish
Well, isn't it obvious? If I were to learn Polish, that'd be a new skill for me!

Because the meaning evolved over time.

Bump for the next chapter!

because if it made sense, it would be too easy.

also kanji are words is a warm comforting notion that, as far as i understand, is incorrect.

I like to think they're forever 17.

Hi Yoshinoya-sensei

>also kanji are words is a warm comforting notion that, as far as i understand, is incorrect.
You know, by the formal linguistic definition, you could make a good case for kanji being words, with radicals being the terminal symbols and the grammar basically just saying which radicals go together with which and in which postions. It's probably even a Chomsky-type-3-language, as I can see no need for any kind of context-dependency.

Does that work with kanji that can have multiple readings and meanings without any visible change? Like how 金 by itself can be either kin or kane?

>Does that work with kanji that can have multiple readings and meanings without any visible change?
Yes, of course. Formal languages, as defined by Chomsky, don't care about semantic meanings. They are just sets of words, with words in turn being finite sequences of symbols, where a symbol can be literally anything.
In other words: For kanji to be words of a formal language, all you need is a common set of rules ("grammar") of constructing them. What they end up meaning or how many readings they have is of no relevance.
That's the beauty of theoretical informatics.

Like buying lottery tickets.

That's all for today. I associate autumn with eating, reading, and trips. I do all of those year round, but autumn makes them more comfy.

Attached: Sketchbook_v07_ch091_010.png (1200x1740, 300K)

No, not Pi-chan!
You can take sensei, but leave Pi-chan alone!

148cm highschoolers....

Imagine

Thanks, user.

Sora has a severe case of autumn.

I hate it when that happens.

A hostage situation and a handful of pillbugs... just another day in the art club.
It looks like she's going through her moveset for a fighting game. It's fun to imagine what the other character's moves would be like.

swift would have made biting satire of japan if he could.

Kurihara will found the Kuriharado school of insect collecting martial arts.

Kamiya is brute strength.
Tori is careful planning and precision.
Sora calms the enemy into non-aggression.
Asou can control others.

Where else did I see this joke? Yuru Yuri? K-On? I can't remember.

Bugjutsu, not bojutsu

Chocolate for brown, tomato puree for red, what for blue?

They, of all people, are asking that of this art club?

Thanks OP, I associate autumn with cold and dampness, not that it is much different the rest of the year where I live.

Gross

>Where else did I see this joke?
I remember this too, I think it was a young girl that it happened to.

I want to pick a fresh Kurihara off the Sketchbook tree.

Well, at least you have paper.
So Kurihara's weapon is a net. What do you think about what the other characters weapons are?
Almost everytime I use super glue I end up washing my hands due of what happens on last panel.
Thanks user. I don't think I associate autumn with anything. Leaves falling? That's obvious though.

sensei weapon is only effective against Brutus-kun

Kuga's weapon is darkness.

Is Darkness the name of the curtain?

You think Sora has a bushy crotch, or a smooth one?

She's Japanese, user. That should answer your question.

Stop imagining my wife's crotch.

Attached: no_one_who_knows_the_secret_may_leave.png (1120x610, 192K)

I never knew I wanted a D-Frag x Sketchbook crossover until now.

Would the Sketchbooks be able to make a game? Would they each have an element?

You're wife a noodle.

>Would the Sketchbooks be able to make a game?
Does it matter?
>Would they each have an element?
How about this?
Kurihara= Bug element
Kamiya= Strength element
Sora= Tea element
Asou= Puppet element
Sasaki= Music element
Negishi= Rage element
Kuga= Competing with Roka for the Darkness element
Asakura-sensei= Magic element
Kasugano-sensei=Legendary bust crusher element
I can't think of anything for Kate, President or the Suzukaze combo

Why she so short? She's about as short as Yuno.
You know, from that other manga about autistic artists doing cute things with their abnormal brains.

Attached: 289442.jpg (360x360, 24K)

Kate is maple. Suzukaze are chaos.
Short is cute.

I guess, but these are too short.
The Dark Sketchbook is even shorter than Yuno, it's almost like they're children.

Attached: 169112_400x400.jpg (400x400, 31K)

>too short
I don't understand.

I'm pretty sure it war Yuru Yuri, i don't exactly remember the characters involved though i feel like chitose was there.

bump

What happened with Kate? Didn't show up.

She caught a case of hockey hair. Very contagious, so she had to stay home for a while.

Hockey hair?

Everyone exposed to Canada gets it sooner or later.

Thanks OP!

Is Sora actually autistic?

It is a mystery.

Bump!

Sora as a magical girl with battling cats.

Why do they expect art in the art club?

is this the power of the end of summer with half of Yea Forums back to school on a weekday?

It's the power of love.

Bump!!

This.

Sora but it's inside her head

How do you just wash superglue off your hands? That stuf stays once it's dried.

was your hand in acetone so you'll have acetone on your hand instead.

I wish a grill would look at me with as much affection as bug-girl looks at beetles.

Maybe you should make yourself into something grills like. Like yakiniku.

Do you have a recipe?

You've got to find that for yourself. Everyone's got their own taste.

There are like 2 girls in this manga I could never sexualise and one is Sora.

Is the other Pii-chan?

How many of the boys can you sexualize, user?

Let's say three:
Sora, Kuga and Kugihara.
One is too autistic, one is too I don't know and the third is too buggy.

Two: Negishi and Kamiyas brother.

so you are fine with Pii-chan, good to know.

>Kamiyas brother.
WHY?
HOW?
WTF?

Way back when, Japan used the lunar calendar. They had a festival called 中秋の名月 (chuujuunomeigatsu) or mid-autumn harvest moon. A harvest moon is the full moon in September, nearest the equinox. Since the lunar calendar was locked to the phases of the moon, this was always the same day of the 8th month. But then big bully Edo came in and shifted the calendar by two days, but some regions defiantly didn't change the date of the festival. Then during the Meiji restoration, they got rid of the lunar calendar and still couldn't agree which date mapped where on the calendar, and different regions still celebrate on different days.

These days it's more commonly known as 月見 or tsukimi. This year, it's September 14, also known as this weekend. Participate in traditional things like eating dango and other seasonal foods, reading and writing poetry, or looking at the moon's reflection in the water. Don't forget lots of sake! It doesn't matter if it's raining, have a party anyway!

That's all for today. What do you see in the moon? Rabbits? A face? A hikikomori whose mother just bought him Jump?

Today's chapter is late, but there's a very good reason. I recently got some new neighbors, and they're both pressuring me to marry their daughters. I think they're from some kind of powerful family too, since their houses are pretty big. Some more things happened, and my childhood friend is acting a bit strange, but I'm sure it will end there and not turn into an absurd story where the best girl makes a series of very dumb choices.

Attached: Sketchbook_v07_ch092_008.png (1200x1740, 644K)

Thanks, user.

I too like Tsukimi...

...sake!
(Haven't played Koi-koi for a while ...)

Well, I did grow up with Sailor Moon, so I'm a bit biased towards seeing a rabbit on the moon.

Attached: hanafuda.png (170x144, 40K)

>Is pii-chan even female
No, it's male. It's written somewhere in the guide book.

>breaks the forth wall
I see the Suzukaze combo learned much from her.

>I completely forgot about Sora
Sometimes I wonder if the mangaka initially wanted to make Asou the protagonist with Hazuki as the lancer.

Asou is the protagonist of our hearts!

It's not I like her the most, so she needs to be the protagonist but she mostly fills in the rather regular straight man and has much more screentime that Sora.

Sora is the protagonist of our brains.

>she mostly fills in the rather regular straight man
Well, I consider myself a regular straight man, and she does completely fill me with lots of nice things!

... I guess we all are a bit autistic, wa ne!?

Is it autistic if we all do it?

Yes.
Arguably even more so.

Kamiya's brother is kinda cute not gonna lie

mental age 13
real age the opposite

>What do you see in the moon? Rabbits? A face? A hikikomori whose mother just bought him Jump?
Is this a reference? This sounds pretty familiar
SZS?

What's the offsite of 13?
-13?
One thirteenth?
13i?

>offsite
Erm ... "opposite". No idea why I wrote "offsite".

Ɛᛚ

Tsukimi sounds comfy.
But I count 14 people in this page, and counting Negishi and Kate in the next page there are actually 16 people. Hence, there are not enough dango for everyone.
Thanks OP.
>What do you see in the moon?
I forgot, time to do some moon-watching.

Ei?
Like German 卵?

Thanks OP. I see a single rabbit with a huge fluffy tail. I don't see how people are seeing multiple rabbits or a man on the moon.

Right author, wrong series.

2: Kurihara

3: Buchou

4: Sasaki, Ryou, Fuu, Kamiya

5: Asou, Sora, Tori

6: Oba

ah, Joshiraku sounds about right

I never see anything on the moon, even if I try to look for a pattern.
My mother says she sees a baby face though.

Like the sound a 2D girl makes when throwing something.

Huh, you're right. Maybe I counted a ghost member?

>when throwing something.
When throwing German 卵?

Do Germans enjoy being thrown?

Well, if they are 卵, they sure do. Especially if they're being thrown at politicians or other controverse public figures.

I don't think Kuga would allow this to happen. At least in public.

Bump!

... damn, I hate when Yea Forums takes this long to update page information. Sorry for the belated bump.

TL;DR: Party this weekend.

Ee, zutto.

wtf? where did it go?

>where did it go?
Well, where does food usually go?
Onto the floor, user. Food goes onto the floor.

Maybe if you're a toddler.

Or an art teacher. Not much of a difference.

Is that why people always say "a three year old could do that" when looking at modern art?

No. That's because modern art is usually made by three-year-olds.

Must be tough to fit an entire art career in one year

Not at all. Those toddlers have a lot of leisure time. Literally nothing else to do.

that's not true, projectile vomiting on every person they see takes a lot of time and dedication.

That IS a form of (modern) art though.

Is bumping modern art? I tend to believe it's rather post-modern, considering that posting is directly involved.

is bumping into Brutus and breaking it into smithereens modern art?

>bumping into Brutus
Dunno, sounds rather brutish to me. Not artsy.

That's a deconstruction of classical art

Attached: wearing a cat.png (447x312, 114K)

Or is that cat wearing a human?

Bump.

the cat is controlling the human like a puppet

I'd volunteer.

Who came up with the idea to set riceballs on a bird house and set owls beside it for this holiday?

Kamiya. The owls are an original invention

Whoa, sensei does magic tricks?!

>The owls are an original invention
The owls are not what they seem, user.

One owl that can swivel its head 180 degrees and always watch you with unblinking eyes is spooky enough, I don't need to eat beside a dozen of them...

I don't think any of the sketchbooks would be into David Lynch.

Don't underestimate them, user! They do have a certain depth to them.

But they'd either be too confused or terrified.

What abou President or the Suzukase combo?

holy shit i never realized you were posting multiple chapters in each of these threads

They might enjoy being confused or terrified.

Buchou spends all his time studying and doing things properly, not watching TV.
The suzukaze combo thinks it's all too ordinary and boring.

Bump for the next chapter!

Saving throw

Difficult to pork.

That's all for today. I'd eat it from the head. Isn't that the normal way to do it?

Attached: Sketchbook_v07_ch093_008.png (1200x1740, 696K)

Poor Ooba-san.

I'd rather be a side character than an armpit.

With enough signs and arrows, one could have complete control over Sora's actions.
Please chew your food Kuri-chan.

I don't get that note.
Isn't this common, that bikes can be excepted from one way roads?

I'm not sure why the translator found it confusing either, I think it's pretty obvious.

I remember watching some program on NHK that many Asians have a problem with the ^ arrow and get confused when the try to follow the directions, they actually look up like Sora instead of forward. So they had to develop special signage for the Olympics that would make it clearer to move forward rather than up.

I guess they have all got used to insects thanks to bug-girl.

Thanks OP. This is a Lucky-star level of debate right here.

Poor spider ...
Thanks, user!

>I'd eat it from the head.
I'd eat it from the side fin.

Attached: kuga_spider.gif (431x386, 215K)

love this shit

But those kinds of arrows are used everywhere for direction in Japan. Like on these signs in train stations (and with a bonus on the ticket gate).

Attached: DSC09210.jpg (900x598, 177K)

Don't give up Kamiya! Your next invention surely will be accepted!
I never ate Taiyaki, but I think I'd start eating it from the head.
Thanks OP. A single spider is nothing in comparison of what happened when the art club slept once in the school.

why is the right panel just a black block

I was in Japan in July and this picture just hit me with nostalgia.
Need to go back next year.

We all get the need to go. It's the price of being a weeb.

Literally this.
I miss slapping my pasmo on those gates while running from the crowds chasing me down.

>I miss slapping my pasmo on those gates
>not buying a JR pass

I needed to use buses too sempai

Attached: chrome_U1v4RQ8sCf.png (468x284, 216K)

JR pass is expensive, unless you're taking multiple long shinkansen trips, it's not worth it. Plus all the non-JR lines.

JR also covers busses.
I paid 400 Eurobucks for three weeks.

My last trip using an IC card, including some longer distance rides, was ¥15711 for two weeks.

Bump!

Maybe Asakura-sensei taught Kururu to shake using both hands.
I would start from whichever end has the least filling and eat it in such a way that the last bite contains the most filling.

Isn't it better to get an even distribution of filling in each bite?

Attached: Ooba.jpg (560x870, 168K)

>deconstruction of classical art

Attached: 1486182125115.gif (250x188, 1.2M)

It does make sense in english though, since "to pork" means "to fuck".

Don't laugh too much, or sensei will go hide in the corner again.

But sensei is cutest when she's sulking.

yeah I suppose, as long as the last bite has a good amount of filling.

Attached: zzz.png (335x234, 24K)

I'm only repeating what the program said, so I don't know how widely they implemented it. All I vaguely remember from the program was they designed signs to be clearer, for example, moved signs to the side and used left and right arrows instead of up, used diagonal arrows to move people up stairs, things like that.

Thinking real hard about Ooba's armpits right now

They must be really, really hairy.

I don't know what's more amazing, Ryou carrying around the plant for a whole month or bot seeing a cat for a whole month.

Cats know when you're looking for one and hide

Bump!

Bump!!

New picture from the author's new work.

Attached: topic30435-mystery-new.png (1131x800, 268K)

The final sketchbook volume just came out, I wonder if there's any kind of preview in there.

I doubt it. Mag Garden's site says that it'll take "a little more" for it to be serialized, and that the characters in that image may or may not show up.
Still, I'm planning on getting the final volume, so I'll post here if there's any.

nothing wrong with hair, it's a prevents friction

Is Sora autistic?

I've got it ordered, should be arriving later today.

No, she's a fictional character from a light-hearted comedy show.
She is a shy and mildly pedantic girl, which gets exaggerated in fiction to sustain entertainment.

but seriously, she is a bit and it's cute

Bump.

Nowhere to hide.

That's all for today. I generally avoid daily specials. Like the ice cream, it would be a tragedy if I liked it but couldn't get it again.

Attached: Sketchbook_v07_ch094_010.png (1200x1740, 315K)

>first lizards and now this
Sora keeps abusing all non feline animals

Strange, you'd think they would use a coin tray in which I wish was the adapted use here in America.

My cat died earlier and now reading this hurts

Thanks, user!
(Try yearly specials.)

Stupid game.

Sora is scary.

Sorry to hear that, user.
Always hard to lose someone. But at some point those memories that feel so taxing now will become happy memories.

The coin tray is for you to put money in. They always hand you the change back directly. It's better for your sanity if you don't think about it too much.

Can't blame Hazuki, that panda face is pretty unsettling.

Why does Sora make that face all the time? It feels so arrogant

>pretty unsettling
I think you mean very.

Attached: スケッチブック 第07巻.zip-スケッチブック 第07巻-スケッチブック_7_126.jpg (1017x814, 240K)

What face do you want her to make?

I can't tell if it's gonna be serious or if it's just going to be jokey
I can see it going both ways

That's fast. Did you get the one with the illustration card?

I mean, could you use it to put on pet birds and such? That would be useful.

I really like Hazuki's clothing along with the beret-like thing. Is there something like that in real life?

I can relate to Sora. I've been befriending street cats as of late.

Where's her pony tail?

First image seemed more serious, this one seems more jokey.
Either way, those are some high quality character designs.

There are people who are allergic to cats. Maybe it's for them.
I was thinking the same as you, Hazuki.
Thanks for the chapter, user. Cute imouto.

Plant catnip.

Poor Tori-chan. Though if you are still thinking of an ice cream after a year, I think it's okay to get it and not call it an impulse buy.

It's like when a guy leans in for a kiss, the girl has to come the rest of the way to make it consensual.

Kamiya's idea is far better than the current method of just selling 1 gram of glue in their own tubes, far less wasteful.

Thanks OP!

That is the face of one who has gained worldly wisdom and achieved inner peace.

Japan does seem to like poofier hats. You can search for Japanese berets and some of them get close. Or look for a キャスケット which can look similar but usually has a part that sticks out in front.

Bump!

If Sora went full power how many cats could she summon?

She'd be able to summon Cait Sith at will.

No, I'm not really into those kinds of things.

It's here now. Not much to report. No surprises. About 20 pages of extra material. Cute insert pictures.

I read that as "Cute insect pictures".

Attached: 1446785496714.jpg (640x480, 93K)

There's some of that too

A bit of interesting stuff from a recent interview with the author.

>He was in a art club in high school, and some character are based on real people. Sensei is based on his club advisor, who was a bright woman like Kasugano, and president was based on the president at the time (because he was a tall person). Sora and Ryofuu don't have models.
>3 weeks of the months were spending researching material for the chapter, and one week was for drawing.
>He wanted to draw a special story about how the Ryofuu combo met Asakura, but he couldn't get it done.
>It would be the story from when they were children. Himuro hadn't changed much from how she is today, but Tanabe was a more normal child.
(not sure if I'm reading that part right)
>When asked if there's any chance of him drawing more Sketchbook, he replied that if it happened, he doesn't know if it would be for a long time or just once, so it might be better to draw in a different form. If it were in the form of shorts, he would draw it again.
(not sure about that either)
>He wanted to show Sora's mother, but couldn't get her image right.

And about his new manga.
>He doesn't know what to focus on. He wants to draw action, comedy, and slice of life, but hasn't decided on the "balance" yet.
>He wants to challenge himself with what he couldn't do with Sketchbook.
>He says characters and settings are 70% done, and story is about 20%. He likes creating characters and designing them a lot.
>He doesn't have the confidence he'll put it out soon, since he barely has experience with non-4koma manga.
>Finally, he says it'll be a completely different manga from Sketchbook.

>Tanabe was a more normal child.
I don't believe it.

Bump.

Attached: 201907_960x854.jpg (960x854, 399K)

>Sensei is based on his club advisor
uh oh.

But look what came out of it.

>He wanted to draw a special story about how the Ryofuu combo met Asakura, but he couldn't get it done
For shame

i bet she knocked over a bust just once, and this is what she get for it.

If I was sensei, that wouldn't be what I was most upset about my portrayal.

BAI BAI YOU OLD TISSUE BOX COVER

Sensei is so tiny compared to Prez

Kuga and sensei have an even bigger gap. She'd be about the same height as buchou's solar plexus.

that's honestly quite a good idea

All Kamiya's ideas are great!

True.
Unless they're intended by her not to be, of course.

Bump!

But would they work commercially?

Depends on how you market them.

Would Kamiya do that too?

a strange coincidence
the latest Atsumare Fushigi chapter has the saem theme

Attached: 1568383104656.jpg (835x1200, 266K)

Is it really a coincidence? It's like having two Christmas chapters.

but I would not expect them to be within a few days of the sketchbook upload. so it's a strange coincidence in that sense

>3 weeks of the months were spending researching material for the chapter, and one week was for drawing.
Imagine going around, playing with cats and getting paid for that.

>getting paid for that
Mangaka don't actually get paid, user.

Wouldn't it swing back into her face? How would she react?

That's all for today. Do they still have those sample machines in record stores? It's been a long time since I've been to one. In fact, I think the last time I've seen a real record store was in Japan.

Kurihara gone done herself in

it was the sperm whale that did it I think

Thanks, user!

>the last time I've seen a real record store was in Japan
The last time I've seen a real record store was in the early 2000s.

Great ... more cats to remember ...

Asou's the only one who can pull that look off!

I do with with my dog when he needs to go outside to pee before bed.

Thanks OP.

Thanks, OP.

Cute.

the cutest

Aren't you training him to be lazy?

Cute Asou clones
My cat doesn't trust me enough to do this, then again the few times I've tried usually involved spinning.

I read this as Nekomimi at first.
I think Kushiro would work, or maybe Shikuro.
Cute!
Thanks as always, user. I remember only seeing those machines when I was a child. I don't go to those places anyways.

>Nekomimi
Those are fine too

>I don't go to those places anyways.
Isn't that kind of sad? There's something that's more exciting about hunting in a physical store.

But I rarely listen to music outside of anime songs or 2hu remixes, so there's no point for me in going to those places. However, I usually go to a bookstore to buy manga when I have money to spend.

Jpop can be fun too. But the real fun is discovering something new.

Bump!

I have a tiny local record store where I can show whatever record I'm talking to the guy behind the counter and he plays it on the loudspeakers. Pretty comfy.

Is this thread going to hit the bump limit? Has that happened before?

few times a while ago

>The intro was so long that it didn't get to the actual song...
Must be prog.

There used to do that at the video rental place near where I grew up. Of course, that's long gone now.

If we only bump once an hour we might make it til tomorrow's dump.

And then have it die immediately after the chapter?

Attached: wellwell.png (830x529, 189K)

Is she a hipster? What do the others listen to?

Attached: 4160964_p0.gif (376x640, 98K)

Nah, he's old now, he knows it's time to go outside but all he wants to do is sleep.

Oh no, now I can't tell which on is Asou!

She needs to take it up a level. Tri-tails

Kuga would have been the perfect person to investigate this mysterious person.

Sora would counter with quad tails until it goes ful shounen battle escalation.

>Oh no, now I can't tell which on is Asou!
Hey there, Sora!

8 posts to go.
Bump.

A city full of cats would be the Necopolis

A book full of cat spells would be Neconomikon.

That's why Sora so quickly dropped the act, she couldn't recognise herself!

Why did you write that with a "C"?
こ is generally romanized as "ko", and the "K" makes far more sense.
And the greek version of the original words (νεκρός) uses a Kappa (the letter, not the mythical creature), which for all intents and purposes is also much closer to a "K".

Good thread, we managed 7 chapters .

All that's left now is hitting the bump-limit!

Final bump i guess.
lets give it a proper send off since I think this is the second daily sketchbook thread to make it to bump limit.

Nice thread, everyone! Incredibly enjoyable.
And it almost lasted a week.

See you all for the next thread!

Attached: 7581277_p0.jpg (480x774, 237K)

Is such a thing possible?

I was considering letting the thread die just short of 500 for laughs, but it deserves better. Good thread, see you guys in a few hours.

>almost lasted a week
is that a good or bad thing

>78 unique IPs
probably a couple of duplicates so maybe 50-60 anons?

>is that a good or bad thing
Neither. It just is.
But it's at least nice to have a thread last for a while.

>probably a couple of duplicates so maybe 50-60 anons?
Less, I'd assume. Most people use DynamicIP, and my ISP resets mine at least once a day. So I'm at least six of those IPs.

I needed it for a house i moved into, it was unoccupied for ages and cats got used to shitting on the lawn and driveway

also thanks op for reminding me that this series exists, i'm binging the manga now

stop at whatever he last chapter in this thread is if you want to enjoy the daily release. 95?

What if Negish is a harem manga protagonist but we only see him from the perspective of occasional club activities?

Then we're still at the end of this thread with no incentive to speculate on stuff like that.

>where else is a better venue to do it
Nowhere. Speculation is not productive anywhere.
Don't let this thread end on a note like this, please.

Kuga is very cat like.
