This is honestly more of a fan theory than anything

Mostly because whenever he is shown in some illustration his size tends to change or he is shown in weird angles where is hard to tell his real height.

I think he is smaller than average and fat. but not to the extreme "chibi" bordering midget levels that the anime showed him to be.

The jealousy thing is just a personal assumption, I don't remember if they ever mention why she agreed to date Taku.
