>there will never be another kino like it again
It hurts bros. Also Yea Forums has gotten a lot worse at bumping anime that isn't seasonshit. That's a shame.

Welcome to modern anime culture.
Too much anime to keep track off so we consume as much as possible to shitpost while stop talking about good old anime

Man I loved this movie. Even the nonsensical plot and the goofy romance that the movie concluded on.

desu his Lupin movies are pretty good

Yeah the most recent one was pretty fun even though I personally don't really like Fujiko, especially this version of her.

RIGHT BEFORE THE SUNRISE

Didn't this movie basically bankrupt Madhouse? The days of being creative are over simply because studios can't afford it, these days it's either some shitty LN adaptation or shounenshit.

Pretty sure they made back a profit but they where almost bankrupt before they finally released it.

Its really sad. Outside very few examples, gone are the days of animation for animation's sake.

Were there any other soundtracks that even compare since Redline came out?

I don't think it ever did, really. It just used to be letting the artists animate whatever they wanted could still rake in the dough. This is largely no longer the case. All I can really think of is Laika, the stopmotion animation studio, where it's literally just funded by the son of the Adida's owner or something as his personal passion project studio. I imagine the only other real examples are where a studio makes enough money doing other shit they can occasionally have enough funds to put out prestige projects where profitability isn't a concern.

>the takeaway from this high octane racing deathmatch with yakuza and secret military conspiracies in the backroad is love
To this day it makes me laugh. It fits the movie though.

YOU ARE THE FLOWER I'M THE RAIN

>hype
>fantastic animation
>bumpin' music
>english dub is pretty cool
I wish I can forget this movie so I can watch it all over again.
Were they going to expand the setting of Redline? There's a ton of stuff they briefly show that can easily be made into an anime?
