Why do things that in reality are usually rewards or goals just fall into the lap of most anime protagonists? They don't do anything to earn it, everything just falls into their lap?
Why do things that in reality are usually rewards or goals just fall into the lap of most anime protagonists...
Noone actually wants to see normalfags struggle, they just want to self-insert into overpowered heroes. Eastern media, western media, it's all the same shit.
This is why heroes so often have some copypaste ability that lets them effortlessly steal other peoples moves. It basically trivializes everything non-MCs worked hard for, but then that's the whole point, the MC is supposed to be special and godlike and everyone else is just a pebble in his path. I don't like it but most people do.
Hi Tenchi
this is all media really, particularly tv shows. romance? main character suddenly bumps into someone. action? main character suddenly gets roped into some adventure.
I want to see a story where they have to take the initiative themselves like in the real world. like a guy is tired of being alone so he starts awkwardly talking to girls and eventually manages to land one.
Nobody gives a fuck about the struggle if the manga doesn't have any girls in a manga that's supposed to be romance.
Yeah 10 chapters of a virgin working out and staring in the mirror and having practice conversations with approachable people before the big titty heroine everyone wants to see appears, just so you can relate, that's shit.
Bad writers take shortcuts and just copy what's big and popular without actually realizing why people like it in the first place.
Like tsunderes. The original point of tsunderes is that you get slow romantic progression from her hating you to her liking you. It's why it was so popular, because it was literally just romantic progression and character development. But nah, we're just going to replace all that with "b-baka" and punching because fuck actually putting effort into it.
It’s tempting. It affirms something that everyone wants to believe about the world, that things will “work out” somehow and if they just wait around, meaning and relationships will come to them.
That shit’s brain poison and it’s ESPECIALLY bad for kids still developing their worldviews. I’d rather my kids watch gore porn than that kind of shit. Reading that sort of wish fulfillment garbage gave be a bunch of expectations that I didn’t even consciously realize I had until years down the line and caused me significant distress.
Its wish fulfillment, how have you still not picked up on this?
Because fuck you, that's why.
