Wow, you're surprised The Prince and the Pauper but girls instead and spies and steampunk isn't actually particularly deep?

I only watched it last month but loved it. Great cast, great style, solid if standard spy action stuff. No complaints.

I didnt expect it to be deep but all the dialogue about how spies are all liars and about how they could be lying RIGHT NOW is presented in a way thats supposed to sound deep but it just comes off as really dumb and edgy and something a 14 year old would think is really cool and deep

PriPri is not particularly deep, but it's still an interesting take on the industrial fears.

She's a spy but she's made for breeding

The whole point is about masks, lies, who the real person is and how you can completely change who you are if go balls deep. Plus general psychological stuff like how Ange justifies killing people by pretending she isn't human so it doesn't matter when she is actually quite against it due to her being brought up as trying to care about people. Meanwhile Princess is the opposite, grew up realising fuck everybody else, you're out for yourself and she found a friend and changed herself, at least outwardly, to keep shit going.

Plus, as I said, Prince and the Pauper but more risky. It isn't particularly deep as I said, but it covers simple shit and does it in an enjoyable way.
