>tfw you predicted this from the moment memory inheritance was revealed
I like this show since it has a lot of pleb filters
I'm so glad I've been able to keep Yea Forums's endless spiral of shitposting around this series from ruining it for me, whatever its flaws it's been a ton of fun too. The spark is still there.
What? Do you not know the popularity of this shit? Are you legitimately retarded?
That's not an avant-garde movie. It can't be kino, imbecile.
>Eren's rage autism is so strong it literally surpasses space time and took control of all the attack titans retroactively back through the past, pulling a reverse King
FUCKING AWESOME
>Facists are the good guys
>Not avant-garde
Kill yourself liberal.
I really think Isayama's take on traps is very freshing; for a change it's not really the super cliché girly-girl bow-and-ribbons trap stuff. One can still see the fire and determination in Eren's eyes very often despite looking like a female and the long hair looks oddly masculine, yet feminine.
I very much approve.
>Baby's first shonen.
>kino
I-I don't get this chapter. Future-past mangling has always been too confusing to me. There are so many perceptible loopholes that my mind doesn't even want to bother thinking somewhat deeply about it at all
>story jumps the shark with a shitty plot twist once again
>I-it's a pleb filter! you just don't understand heh.. it's k-kino guys!
this
>wojakposter is a retard
Like pottery
>The mangaka set this plot point since chapter 1 and never contradicted anything
>this series jumped the shark with another asspull plottwist throwed out of nowhere 1111s!!!!
When you SnK haters will stop to be so pathetic.
hes right.
>I-I don't get this chapter.
What don't you get? Eren did what the king of the wall did in reverse, he retroactively ensured the future he wanted would be created because his will was either far stronger then any of the others, or they all agreed with him.
>>story jumps the shark with a shitty plot twist once again
I kind of feel bad for those of you who have succumbed so hard to be elitist "critics" and shoved big logs up your assholes that you literally just can't enjoy anything anymore. I finally realized what you all remind me of: reading """"reviews"""" of movies in outlets like the New Yorker or New York Times or similar NYC snobbery, where the lambast how "boorish" or whatever every movie is and focus only on any flaws. Sad.
For Eren's next trick, watch as he becomes a living titan god and writes all 2000+ years of Eldian history from beginning to end.
>When you SnK haters will stop to be so pathetic.
hes right.
Are you literally retarded? Who said it was asspull? Yes, we know timetravel things were foreshadowed in 1 chapter it's not what he was talking about. It doesn't change the fact than Eren being god of time and space is a cheap and retarded plot element
I can't wait for animeonlies to see this when season 4 comes out. It will GoT S8 level of rage
>Eren being god of time and space
are you retarded? he can only pass memories to attack titan wielders, how the fuck would that make him a god of time and space? watch him fuck up despite having the power
>being god of time and space
That's just your own hyperbole strawman bullshit though, you don't convince anyone non-retarded with stuff like that. All of the attack titans being an influence on each other and embodiments of evolution, of rage and the fundamental human desire to move forward, no matter what the damage that causes ("disruptive innovation"), doesn't mean they can just do whatever they want or influence anyone else. Their actual actions are still confined to what they themselves can accomplish IRL. They could still be thrown off by the actions of other powers, and then it's up to the next one. In principle they could be thrown off forever. Each individual one still has to do their best themselves, and could still fail.
> Eren did what the king of the wall did in reverse, he retroactively ensured the future he wanted would be created because his will was either far stronger then any of the others, or they all agreed with him.
If eren can do all that, why can't he just make circumstances in which the present situations never even occur. He could warn his previous titan shifters from mishaps. Eventually, if attack titan can see memories into future, even the founder ymir could've been informed of what was to come, and she could've prevented everything. Titans exploiting marleyans, the titan wars, everything.
>tfw a massive wall will rise up from the sand just before he grabs onto the Founder
It would be ironic if yet another wall will keep Eren from achieving freedom.
The problem here is that he can see only the fragments of future that future attack titan want to show him. He could be being manipulated just like his father.
Please write out the title of the series when you make a thread about a bad show.
My filter can't catch all of this.
Eren isn't a freaking god of time you speedreader!!! What eren can do basically all the others AT shifters were able to do (aka see the memories of the future holders), eren could influence grisha just because he was there with Zeke and the power of FT( even a retard would understand it). Everything happening there is because the entire story since ymir fritz made her deal is basically a closed timeloop caused by paths, where past, present and future are influenced by the actions of the people who live in it (basically like in Harry potter's books, or the curse from juni ito's "uzumaki"). The cicle will end only when eren will destroy the paths, since he is the last AT holders and the only one who have access to the power of the coordinate (and so, on the paths themeselves).
he should beat the shit out of Ymir and eat her, dats da attack titun way
It might seem like a paradox induced problem, like Eren can't undo past things or he wouldn't be born to make the change. However Isayama set it up very well by underlining that the future Eren saw was exactly what he wanted. And maybe all of the strife and deaths were necessary to achieve that very future.
Snk isn't a bad series/show.......unless you are mentally stuck in 2013
It's probable that Eren can't willingly affect the memories of all those before him. He needs Zeke to bring him to the coordinate to see and affect Grisha's. All he knew himself was the vision of the future he saw and that he would stir his father back to his duty.
It's unlikely that Eren could control the flow of memories perfectly. Plus we don't know what machinations may come from future Advancing Titans.
>he can only pass memories to attack titan wielders
no he can't. grisha and zeke are wrong.
I cannot deal with this pure concentrated amount of kino.
I think Eren won't break the circle. To be precise, I think he will rid the world of titans but he himself will be stuck in the loop, forever struggling.
Mikasa and Armin, however, will be free. Maybe even his son, if EH comes to be true.
Wow.. it's like.. protagonist and antagonist have completely different motivations.. deep
Kill yourself nigger.
>tfw too retarded to understand Willy Tybur
Can I get a quick rundown on that guy?
This is a good theory, probably the AT holders are martyrs who are cursed to live this loop as price to save the rest of their race. For what we can know the rest of the world can be yet 1000 or even more years from the rumbling, but eren and his predecessors are still stuck into revive their life again and again.
>wojack
Fuck off piece of shitstain Yea Forumstard and never come back you absolute human trash, kill yourself while you're at it worthless scat
My zombie mecha manga is so kino bros.. wow
It stopped being this like many years ago....are you seriously stuck in 2013 or what?
>Still living in 2014
I would post a frog reaction image but then i realized it's 2019.
i don't even know what's going on anymore desu, i wish the story was explained as it unfolded, aka as eren figured out and executed his plan, right now we're doing gotcha moments
My manga about super angry and determined shonen protagonist who wants freedom is so kino bros..
Stop embarating yourself user, the show is funny when is short.
Tell this to Isayama
this manga is filtering the plebs so hard is not even funny anymore
>I’m too sophisticated for this manga I only read sophisticated series for sophisticated people like myself!
>see how contrarian I am
whew
No, im telling to the guy who have clearly an hateboner on this series since 2013 and ins't able to realize that it is actualy a well written story.
Wait till the rumbling happens. The seething will hit max levels
A guy who accepts that what his ancestors did was wrong and it was a mistake but at the same time wants to live in this world because he was born in it, he would be in the middle point between Eren and Zeke, pretty based desu
Zeke accepts the sins of his race and wants to eradicate them
Eren thinks they didn't do anything wrong and they were the ones wronged, he wants to live on and destroy everyone who opposes them.
Tybur accepts the sins of his race and wants to live on.
He’s a cuck from a family that betrayed their own race and sided with the enemy
Was he right?
Yes
Yes.
I need JoJo edit of this.
>"You're approaching me?"
He's right and based.
how kino would it be if Eren prevented his own birth to return glory to Eldia?
this series has really gone into the shitter since the basement
It literally got 100 times better after the basement
I remember when this manga was about killing titans
It still is, in fact now it's about whether to kill ALL the titans or not.
It's always been about killing things that are not human. That hasn't changed.
fivesome with timeskip eren
What? You don't like PLOT TWIST-PLOT TWIST-CHEAP SHOCK VALUE-PLOT TWIST-ALL ACORRDING TO KEIKAKU PLOT TWIST-TIME TRAVEL plot? Heh, nothing personnel
That seething
to think Isayama loved GoT and took inspiration from it, and people compared AoT and GoT with each other, I kind of foresee a massive shitstorm as well
but let's be pragmatic for a moment, at least AoT S4 will make more sense overrall than the entirety of GoT S8
who the fuck is that woman supposed to be?
Ymir?
>who the fuck is that woman supposed to be?
did you even read the last 2 chapters?
Isayama said he hated GoT S8
I genuinely think I might actually be retarded.
Though on the other hand I'm not a degenerate so the thought of him banging a loli never occured to me.
The best part of SnK is the constant anal bleeding from shonentards who wanted giant Naruto.
God, it's so good. Give me more.
The baby is Historia’s
We still have a chance with armong
But it is Naruto. Last few chapters perfectly parallel Naruto / Sasuke sons of Sage of Six Paths reveal lmao

Nah, a blessed user posted it a while back, nice quads btw.
Explain why Eren's father gave him titan shifter abilities after asking Zeke to stop him. If he wanted to stop him, all he had to do was not give Eren the founder or the attack titan. That's the one thing that still bothers me. If you can give me an explanation for that, I'll accept it.
He wants him to live, but doesn't want him to go all Ender's Game on everything beyond the shores of Paradis, and is going all in on Zeke stopping him when the time comes?
Alright, that actually makes sense. I didn't think of that.
ELABORATE PLEASE
what does that mean?
true
We still need to see what the Mikasa scene from chapter 1 is about.
Probably her last words when he kills her.
She and Armong are bleeding heart peacecucks, they are working together with him right now because Surprise!Marley, but when time to rumble comes, there's gonna be kneejerk.
Would explain why he woke up crying, he obviously still cares despite the I HAET YUO bit.
do you really have no clue about what the rumbling is? it's the one event everyone, Marleyans and Eldians, feared to happen if Eren and Zeke were to make physical contact
>Probably her last words when he kills her.
Imagine the resulting seethe.
Well, for what we know he can:
-realized that he must follow the plan, maibe after aknowledge carla's death
Or
-Had another memory fragment where he understood eren's true intections and why he had to kill the reiss.
Usually isayama is that kind of mangaka that will alwais give answers, so we have just to wait.
but why would readers seethe from it?
Because Isayama is a hack and got influenced by Bran from Game of Thrones.
because there are tons of normalfags who hate eren because hes "BEING MEAN TO MUH WAIFU MIKASA!!"
He knew he had to deceive Zeke in order to make Eren's plan succeed. Alternatively he had to serum Eren despite not wanting him to succeed because he was afraid Eren would die otherwise
You can do that without becoming a god, you just need to send your enemies to camps where they can be concentrated and then burn all the books and people that disagree with you.
And a decade later everyone will be back to normal.
I think there'd be just as much seethe from edgelords who want everything to be grimderp if things work out well and he actually does like Mikasa and deceiving her/armong/whomever was part of the plan to make sure they lived through it. So seethe either way.
FeelsGood.
>Baby's first shonen
That's Kimetsu.
It make sense but it's still a shitty plot element, which ruined this arc
>Having a level this low of reading comprehension.
There go my sides.
I think when eren breaks the paths and comes out of the coordinate path world, a mass blob will come out of nowhere and kills almost every potential cast member and injure them beyond recovery and then moments later everyone dies. Armin, Mikasa, Connie Jean, Levi, Hange, Historia and Zeke will all die. But then mass blob Eren appears with his colossal titans and with their colossal dicks so they can reproduce into more colossal titan dicks. Mark my words
If it had been the other way around, Zeke would speak the lines for her... since she can't do so herself.
>that feel when bullet hits
i have a feeling this will always make me laugh
will he regenerate his entire body next chapter? Or will the remainder of the story take place inside PATHS dimension
Your normalcy bias is why you aren't going to live a good life
>Implying the beginning of SNK isn't the worst part of it

>"Zeke I saw the future and it SUCKS you have to change it!!!"

How did Rod know he'd become monstrous 80-100m titan? Why haven't they chipped Annie out of her stone? 3DMG can anchor into hardening/armour (and the walls), thus they have material that can carve into it. They've been flying all over the walls for decades, why isn't more of it slightly damaged? I don't recall an explicit scene of the walls/armour regenerating.
more or less, though it's not exactly one broad spectrum with willy as a moderate between the two extremist brothers. the core ideological difference between them is that willy believes eldian and non-eldian can, over the long arc of history, find common ground and live in peace, whereas regardless of how they disagree on basically every other point, eren and zeke's appraisal of the situation does agree on the fundamental conclusion that no reconciliation will ever be possible, at any point.
Why do you assume Rod knew he'd became a mousntrous titan? besides even groose knew how to make specific kinds of titans dude
O MY BOOTSTRAP PARADOX
What said
Also, I think he was a type of abnormal Titan. I don't remember if this was ever stated, but I was wondering if people with royal blood become abnormal Titans. There were so many Eldians dropped around Paradis and I'm sure that Ymir was a common ancestor to more than just Zeke, Dina, and the Fritz/Reiss family inside the walls.
I think everyone can agree that it's completely silly that Annie can't be extracted from her crystal. The 3DMG's ability to hook into absolutely anything, even in a cavern of super diamond, is also a mild concern. At least we can pretend that we can ignore it for the sake of cool fighting scenes with hooks and harnesses. The Annie thing, however, is just the author handwaving away something inconvenient.
>Why haven't they chipped Annie out of her stone?
>3DMG can anchor into hardening/armour (and the walls), thus they have material that can carve into it.
They couldn't. The crystals are a different substance than ordinary hardening. "Harder than steel". The WHT was inside an identical crystal, and the only things that penetrated it were the JT's claws and jaw. Presumably it need an extremely hard material plus a huge amount of force.
>They've been flying all over the walls for decades, why isn't more of it slightly damaged? I don't recall an explicit scene of the walls/armour regenerating.
The Garrison handles maintenance. Likely they would patch the wall up if it took noticeable damage. We also don't usually see sections of the wall's surface up close, and there are thousands of miles of wall.
Annie should be a rotting corpse. At this point we have to assume that Annie not only generated an unbreakable crystal but also stopped the flow of time inside the crystal.
he was being honest though
so someone showed eren the future where his wish came true, also whoever told Kruger to tell Grisha that "he must continue so he can save Mikasa and Armin" had to be Eren, that means he will get access to those paths sometime in the future, there are only 2 ways for that to happen, he gets control of the founder, which for now it's plausible but kind of an asspull, or he gets access by the path being given to him by someone with royal blood, in this case I think only zeke meets that requirement cause I think it was established only those of royal blood that had titan powers can access the paths domain. So I guess Eren will convince Zeke of joining his plan or some shit?
>Yaegerists are a multi-cultural terrorist organization that overthrew a military government

Don't use words you don't understand.
Kiss it you lowlife user peasants. Kiss it NOW.
>Fascists would never ally with other races and cult--
Bloody hell I'm on my phone because the internet's fucked all over the US cut me some slack
Facism isn't just about race. I know your only reference for facism is "thing retards on twitter use as a proxy for Nazism" but when using the actual definition Eren doesn't fit it at all
Facism: a political philosophy, movement, or regime (such as that of the Fascisti) that exalts nation and often race above the individual and that stands for a centralized autocratic government headed by a dictatorial leader, severe economic and social regimentation, and forcible suppression of opposition
his care for "eldia" has only ever extended as far as himself and his friends (not letting historia become a sow), He's always put his interests first (his terrorist group is just his name)", and even now he's only gone as far as he has because he's retaliating against an external threat the way he sees as most efficient even if that means destabilizing Eldia by wiping out it's central government and a majority of its military.
Eren's not a facist, He's an anarchist. Pure freedom.
It dosen't matter who she is
>Zeke seething
Based chapter
I would prefer your foot, my queen.
So if the only reason Eren recieves the Attack Titan is because Grisha recieved future Eren's memories, then isn't the story of the Attack Titan (and the series as a whole) predestined for one outcome?
Closest term for it I can find is "bootstrap paradox".
Also, why would Grisha pass on the Attack Titan to Eren if he asked Zeke to stop Eren moments earlier? I wonder if the official translation will somehow phrase that differently.
>whoever told Kruger to tell Grisha that "he must continue so he can save Mikasa and Armin" had to be Eren
We can't rule out that Kruger learned their names from one of Grisha's memories. It's something Grisha could have said to Eren after deciding to give him the AT.
>Plot twists bad!
Not if he's the last one
The time travel plot twist that you describe is a very old trope in time travel stories. Because it's old and well-known it comes under many names. You can find it under "causal loop" on wikipedia or "stable time loop" on tvtropes. If the time travel is about an oracle predicting the future then it's also known as a self-fulfilling prophecy, in which case it's century old. Bootstrap paradox is a more unusual term. It specifically refer to a time loop situation where something has no origin. It comes from an early (1941) time travel story called "By His Bootstraps". In this novella the main character copies a notebook from his future self, then his past self copies that information too, and therefore the Bootstrap Paradox is that the notebook (or to be exact, the information it contains) has no origin.
Yeah, it's the bootstrap paradox. The question that always leads to is "Is there an in-universe reason for the occurrence of a bootstrap paradox?" and the answer (at least to me) usually goes down to "A higher power willed it so it would serve a purpose". If there isn't an in-universe reason given, then that higher power can either be that story's God or the author, but I think that's a bit of a copout. And there is speculation over the reason here.
>The Shingeki no Kyojin's future memory sight and timeline influencing abiltities are an intended failsafe should the Eldian people be too close to extinction
>The Shingeki no Kyojin is a representation of the Devil himself, with the Devil in this case being the one to give Ymir the power of the Titans. The Devil, also known as the source of all organic life, presumably has something to gain in the current present or future by giving her those abilities 2000 years ago. Should that be the case, it is most likely that Eren is the Devil, but that leads to an even bigger bootstrap paradox far beyond Eren Kruger. In this case, Eren would be setting up history so he could reincarnate as himself to reach this desired future of his, but it's also setting up the entire terrible history in the first place. If he sets this all up, it's solely for preservation of all his friends that will exist in the future. It would be like if Samurai Jack made it so Aku did everything he did so his future friends could be born and later saved rather than returning to the past to defeat Aku and prevent them from ever existing.
A close time loop isn't necessarily a bootstrap paradox. Shingeki no Kyojin doesn't have a bootstrap paradox as of yet. It would involve Eren telling something to Grisha who tells it to young Eren who learns it that way, that would be an example of Eren knowing something which has no origin.
>we've established this story is currently in a closed time loop
>by this logic we gain insight into the true personality and actions of Eren
shit I didn't even think of that, not bad.
you've been filtered by Isayama.
>now you are all free
>because I was never born into this world
the absolutest level of kino
>you've been filtered by Isayama.
Eren is on the verge of death.
Zeke (guy in the last panel holding the baby) will consume Eren and become the new protagonist until the series is over.
Eren being a literal manifestation of autistic rage is the best development that could have ever happened.
I'm loving this
ANO KESKI WA
I don't think I quite got it but what's intriguing here is what the Devil has to gain from all of this. I'm assuming whatever it is, it won't really benefit the Eldian people. I feel the implication here is that Eren, and by extention, all the Attack Titan users shared some sort of connection to the Devil in some way, what with the future memory sight and timeline abilities, and him giving Ymir the power of the Titans. Combining both of these things does make it look like the Devil is trying to help Eldia in some way. But I don't think that's the case. How exactly does the Attack Titan's abilities work as a failsafe?
Being able to see the future allows one to change the future. Assuming that this is a recurring timeloop that has always ended in failure with things changing every time, the ability to know future events would be helpful. But the tricky thing here is that Eren sees a future that he wants. Is he following destiny? What happens if he just gives up? Will his future memories suddenly change? Would Eren have reached this ideal future naturally if he never saw it? Or is seeing it part of destiny?
Causality is a HUGE headache.
I'm more interested in the Devil here. I really don't get him. Why give Ymir the power of the Titans? And you're right, being able to see the future can work as a failsafe indeed. Bu then why? Why have a failsafe? This only benefits Eldia.
Who's the cute girl on the right?
why does eren look more like a woman with ever chapter/panel
That's Ellen.
>Double crosses his son in the future while in the past because he knows the future beyond Zeke's future will require him to lie to Zeke in the future to ensure the future comes to pass
Yeah, it's a bootstrap paradox. just like in the original Terminator before the sequels started fucking up with the mechanics - John Connor only existed because Kyle fathered him, and what's more, SKYnet only existed because Arnold was totaled in a Cyberdyne manufacturing plant and it's CPU was reverse engineered. Each was essentially the father of their respective champions.
It's the same in the Twelve Monkeys, where Bruce Willis' character is sent in the past to prevent the apocalypse or at least find a cure the plague before the fall happens, but ends up causing the apocalypse in the first place - because he blabs to a hippie nutjob with connections to CDC.
Such a loop has no beginning, because the origin point depends on future events to have played out in the first place. According to Novikov self consistency principle, time travel cannot cause any alterations, so it turns out it's actually the most """probable""" model of hypothetical time travel.
It appears to make no sense, because of the "no origin point", yes - but that's only when we assume that time is linear and it's direction immutable, which is only true under the assumption that reality has four physical dimensions. If we assume there's more physical dimensions to reality, as multiple cosmological models postulate - time itself is no longer a straight line but rather a three dimensional plane where past, present and future, from beginning to the end - all happen at the same time.
How is his art still so bad after all this time?
>I-I-It gets good later on I promise
Cope
The truth is Snk has always been good (in anime at least, didnt read the 50 first chapters)
can you explain how a future event can affect the past?
t. brainlet
Based
Basically, it all happens at the same time. There is no chain of events, just things that happened, scattered in a timeline that affect eachother at the same time.
In great generalization.
At least that's how I understand it.
Is A closed loop where past, present and future coexist thanks the paths (who are timeless, is literally the first premise). The entire fate is written by the choices who affect past , prensent and future at the same time. Is basically like "the time is distorted" from Dark Souls series.
>who are timeless, is literally the first premise
but wouldn't that be a contradiction though?
surely if the paths are timeless then there wouldn't be a past or a future, r-right?
More like it's always been shit

In the end, Eren was no one's slave but his own.
you mean a glorified zombie show? no thanks
so it's completely arbitrary as to which events effect different points on the timeline?
sounds like it would be a nightmare to account for every detail
fREEEdom back on the menu
eren is dead if he leaves path.
>surely if the paths are timeless then there wouldn't be a past or a future, r-right?
Think of the paths as a unique dimension, divorced from both physical space and time, where the flow of time is meaningless. It's like a giant network touching every point in time simultaneously, but it's not IN that flow of time.
Sorry in advance for this shit analogy, but it's a bit like the sides of a flowing pool of water. The water doesn't move the sides. If you're floating in the stream, the flow carries you along normally (past->future). But if you climb the sides and step out, you can jump into the stream anywhere at all. Only the pool is some bullshit 99D shape and every inch of side is touching every drop of water in the stream at once.
that's not a bad analogy desu but wouldn't characters find their belongings spontaneously move around the room because their future selves from different points in time are interacting with them simultaneously?
or is different when observed like with schrodinger's cat?
It is literally late Naruto but done right
>different when observed like with schrodinger's cat
That, sort of. As beings bound to a linear perception of time, we can't correctly perceive something beyond it. Physical matter (including the stuff in your room) is always flowing "downstream" with us.
Maybe this is why time still seems to pass for Eren in Zeke inside the paths (aside from the obvious narrative convenience). Time doesn't function normally (Zeke's comment about waiting for what felt like years) but, like a hypothetical 2D being introduced to a 3D space, they can only exist within that extra dimensional space according to their natural limitations. I.e. 2D-san moves across a flat plane because that's all he can understand, and Eren and Zeke move in chronologically linear ways.
Unless Ymir molds his body back together
Does the phrase pretty boy mean nothing to anyone anymore? Because that's literally what he is
why do modern writers, both from the east and west always have to include such stupid and illogical time travel plots?
Because it helps them eliminate any plot holes with they made along the story.
1. it's not time travel
2. it's logical and consistent with everything that has happened in the story so far
It's a causal time loop and (which has already been mentioned at least once in this thread) it's probably one of the more logical interpretations of the future and past effecting each other that we know of so far.
>The Shingeki no Kyojin
>timeline influencing abiltities
This is a misconception, the snk only has foresight of future holders.
Eren could "influence" the past because he was with Sieg in PATHS and also has the coordinate.
Can't wait for the final season to flop the most.
>Being able to see the future allows one to change the future.
Not necesarily. You seeing the future and wanting to change it may be the only way that future comes to happen.
>find their belongings spontaneously move around the room because their future selves from different points in time are interacting with them simultaneously?
Maybe that's why you "misplaced" your keys and wallet.
National Socialism and Fascism are two different things my dude, if you need a simply way to tell the two apart first was run by the germans and 2nd by italians.
It's still about killing titans. But now it's by preventing them from being born.
In your dream!
marley arc is literally the best arc, and current arc, unlike the final arcs of all the other shonens, is pretty good and make sense
You are using the term "kino" incorrectly.
To explain it in ways you may understand,
komm susser tod isn't kino.
But jesus bleibet meine freude is pure kino
When you understand this you will know why you were wrong
Just use modern science and think of the PATH like a black hole where the gavity is so strong that time is extremely dilated.
>because Eren exists he wants to live
>in order for Eren to have existed at all, the 2000 years of Eldian history had to happen
>because Eren can retroactively create the future, Eren was the cause of everything in the first place
I love this, it's like some sort of Boltzmann brain God retroactively creating the conditions for which it exists. Pure kino.

Historia deserves the farmer
>2000 years of Eldian history had to happen
>Because he was born into this world

When did you realise that Kenny is right and the Cucked Fritz family deserves to be wiped out for what Karl did to the Eldian race
marley is literally a multicultural alliance against the paradisian eldians.

How can you be such a fucking disgusting speed reader?

>Grisha didn't brainwash Eren with "nationalism" at all
>he just raised him as a normal functioning family unit
>the so-called nationalism is just the natural result of being raised properly in a nurturing environment
This is the single most kino moment of SNK and most of you missed it.
see
He would need to be stuffed inside a titan's stomach for that to occur. Otherwise, Zeke getting that treatment made no sense.
wtf, Historia looks like THAT ?
any suggestions for wrestlers you wanna see next tfring? just so nobody's caught by surprise, the next theme will be "snk characters but as if they were real wrestlers" no im not deleting eren that was a joke
Say what?
>That scenery
what did he mean by this?

Kill yourself crossshitter
Grisha and Zeke vs Eren and future Eren or Grisha vs Rod but if the Yeagers are overused just do Chadxis vs Cuckgath or Cuckmin vs Fagath. Honestly, there's no interesting conflict beside the Yeagers now. Or just do EHfat vs EMfat
Post it here
ugh fine
yeah i can do those fights
i was gonna create shipperfag wrestlers but then i thought, even if i gave them all the exact same stats and made them as pretty as the game would let me, i'd still get lynched irl
Well it just so happens that the place is swarming with mindless titans that are the former survey corps and mp officers that happened to drink Zeke's jizz and ended up being transformed.
>condoms are killing
Is that you, Francis?
But you rigged Eren vs Farmer already, kek. Just do what you want. It's just for fun after all.
I like that scenery.
What part of the anime are those scenes from? Is it some kind of vision?
what was late naruto like? what kind of power did he obtain?
no bro, i legit didnt. do you wanna see eren's stats? the reason farmer keeps winning is because he's like 600 lbs.
true it is for fun tho. just wanna make people smile
someone summarize everything that has happened since that blonde chick put herself in the crystal thing
is it worth picking back up
Not for someone of your mental capacity.
eren was born into this world
It’s just random scenes, the first two already happened
it cant, its a paradox that brainlets like to think makes sense because of muh closed loop
Yeah, it was still "riggish" since having larger mass(?) means higher chance of winning, right? An user already explained about that game mechanic after Eren lost against farmer. I'm an EHfag but it's all cool, I even defended you. I legit did laugh when Eren lost in two seconds.
It became time travel manga with Naruto-tier powerups
>is it worth picking back up
No
It makes sense in this context
yeah, sorry for engaging with the baiter last night. im gonna blame the fact i thought i was actively dying on my bad mood koff
if you wanna see a legit match i can definitely make farmer his canon size (or my estimation of it)
Nah it's okay. Eren already took most of the screentime. It would get boring for the other fags if Eren keeps winning his matches everytime he appears.
technically zeke's had the most im gonna add a few more slightly niche characters to add variety but my goal is to have every character wrestle at least once next time i stream.
>complains about time travel and naruto-tier powerups

End credits of the last episode. First two are from the Marley attack, one from the port and the other post attack.
anything can when you make stuff up to make it make sense
>It became time travel manga with Naruto-tier powerups
but that already happened when when the blonde chick crystallized herself
Yes? I mean, if there is an in-universe explanation it shouldn't be a problem.
thats why people dont like it. in a simplified way its kind of just an asspull because the writer can do whatever just because muh time magic
Then I guess all those people hate sci-fi media, fantasy or fiction in general because the authors can do whatever with their stories.
Seems like time travel is a problem to some people because it's generally difficult to understand and also there's so many ways to implement it.
I meant hypothetically. Sorry, an ESL so the message didn't get through well enough. Yeah more characters should be good. Looking forward to it.
>Skim through korean scans when they were out
>"Huh okay looks like nothing much happened this chapter"
>Read in english
>That world of a difference
You know a manga's good when the actual meat of the story (dialogue) is what changes everything. It shows that SnK is a character-driven story unlike so many other popular manga right now. You could probably skim through new scans of other manga and pretty much know what happens through the drawings.
no its because it is just another form of an asspull as I said
yikes did it really get bad enough to have people start gatekeeping it
An asspull was Reiner and Armin living, there was barely any explanation given to their survival, and it all felt like a last minute adition.
Memories traveling time and space have been there since the beginning.
So the path world is like 4th dimension right?
Yes
>King Karl Fritz had used the power of the founding titan to "erase" the memories of all the Eldians in the walls (i.e. altered their memories)
>Eren unleashed the power of the titans and has the same exact ability now
>MUH TIMELOOP ASSPULL!!!1!!!!
Be mad that your favorite manga couldn't pull off this strong of a "show don't tell" reveal since day 1. Only Isayama could show clues and have it all come together progressively 10 years down the road of serialization.
Seriously, I've been reading since chapter 1 was scanlated and I can't believe how well-done everything turned out to be. I don't know any other long-running manga that has such well-crafted plot reveals.
What did he mean by this?
Actually i think it's not just 4th dimension it's also the rest dimensions youtube.com
I think isayama tried to learn from this video
theres a difference between paths shit existing since "see you later" and eren literally manipulating grisha so that he is able to later manipulate grisha
Titan is a closed loop from the start, meaning everything that happened has already happened from the start. The future cannot be changed.
Reiner sure, but I disagree about Armin since Isayama did his best to explain why Levi chose to administer the serum on him and it actually made sense given how Erwin accepted death before he faced the Beast titan. It was a huge death flag for him.
But if you're talking about how Armin managed to survive after being burned alive by Bert and falling from high up, I can get that. But Armin was already on the verge of death and him still breathing while being unconscious is still believable.
The fact that PATHS work the way it does makes it actually possible.
The Oracle had to tell Neo to not worry about the vase for him to break it and not worry for breaking it.
God I hate Erin with long hair. He looks like a slutty villain now. Completely lost his edge.
>But if you're talking about how Armin managed to survive after being burned alive by Bert and falling from high up, I can get that.
Yes, I was talking about this.
If he wanted him to survive he could've make him survive in a more plausible way.
So did future Eren talk with this Eren? Just like he did with Grisha. I get he needed a royal shifter but does the royal need to be a titan to talk to himself?
No, he can directly talk to himself at will. Eren only could see himself doing shit in the future and in the past the moment he kissed Historia.
IT'S A FUCKING STRING THEORY. PATHS IS STRING THEORY
what the fuck
So... evil Eren played everyone like a fiddle from the start shitting on everyone´s freedom or choice and thought and becoming the very thing he is supposed to be fighting against?
No. Eren, directly, only influenced Grisha; indirectly, there's the theory that his will of freedom influenced all the SnKs before him.
i understand how it works
honestly it works well here. not just simply hurr lets go back to the past he is literally modifying shit in real time as an invisible interloper
Then you understand that Eren had to tell Grisha to kill the Reisses for him to survive and later tell Grisha to kill the Reisses, don't you?
just to support the indirect portion of this post. I need to see the official translation on this page, but this one is implying that all the ATs in history were influenced by this one confrontation between Grisha and Frieda
yes and that is why people dont like it, do I need to handhold you anymore?
I didn't read it that way at all, I think all Grisha is saying is that the work of the AT holders all led up to this moment, not that they were influenced to do their work because of that moment. The latter may still prove true in time, but it doesn't sound like what Grisha is actually saying.
Thats exactly what it sounds like he is saying. How else do you interpret "thats right, FOR THIS MOMENT, everybody was LED BY THESE MEMORIES"
No, just making sure that you understood that it makes sense in universe.
If you don't like it just because you don't like the concept in fiction that's ok, but saying it's shit or an asspull is just your opinion, shit opinion, desu
GUYS
Has anyone here read SLAUGHTERHOUSE 5 by Kurt Vonnegut?
Is the Attack Titans power of future basically making Eren a Tralfamadorian?
Not him but if that's the case what does
>For this moment...Everybody was led by these memories
mean
I read it a long time ago, but I think the time theory was very similar, all the time was happening at once, wasn't it?
Anime only fag who hasnt watched the 3rd season yet. The fuck is happening. Last I saw was an image of Eren getting his head btfo
>Not him but if that's the case what does
>For this moment...Everybody was led by these memories
>mean
When that line is said you can see Eren in the background walking past Grisha, so it implies those memories leading everyone are Eren's.
Just watch the 3rd season and catch up.
It's worth it.
We should have more hidden threads like this one.
boards.4channel.org
Snk threads are fucking trash
I am pretty sure he also manipulated the Owl to ensure Grisha and by extension himself received the attack titan. In turn manipulating Grisha´s path also meant to manipulate Zeke (and by extension the attack on the walls that lead to the current events) and even his younger self to reach the present point in time that allowed himself to do so in the first place.
So basically in order to reach this point everyone acted according to his will and where not free.
Maybe not consciously, I think he just passes his will of freedom.
But the Armin and Mikasa line I'm convinced it was the Owl having Grisha's dying forememories.
"these memories" doesn't necessarily mean "memories of this moment." It could just be "memories of fighting against the king's self righteousness," which may or may not include that actual scene.
it leans more toward "memories of this moment" when it is preceded by "for this moment" dontchathink. as i said i want the official translation, but as its written it implies all ATs were influenced by this specific event
>that look of disgust and disbelief at the dude taking candid pics
tell me how i know you dont interact with girls very much
name?
I'm sure I do more than most people on this website, but go ahead.
are you retarded? kill yourself
theres no disgust there at all
True, there's disgust and pity.
snkfags are normalfags go figure
Alright, lets not debate subtle facial expressions
hmm
Eren doesn't force them, he convinces them. He makes an argument to fight for their freedom, and they accept it
What would you do if you were a Paradisian? Would you retards seriously accept annihilation?
Depends on what Eren saw.
we are paradisian. and we are currently accepting annihilation
There is no Eren on our side, we only have disturbed loners with no love in them or opportunistic populists only trying to profit.
There is no way to fight back, Paradis can and are fighting back.
>evil Eren played everyone like a fiddle from the start
>manipulating Grisha´s path also meant to manipulate Zeke (and by extension the attack on the walls that lead to the current events) and even his younger self
>in order to reach this point everyone acted according to his will
All of this assumes Zeke and Grisha are correct that Eren can freely select memories and send them back to specific points in time to manipulate other ATs at will. I don't buy it. Either Grisha knew this was possible because he had also done it (thus manipulating Kruger in turn), or this was a theory he developed after receiving visions with no explanations attached. Remember, Kruger's conversation with him was very brief. With no one else to consult, he was forced to puzzle his titan abilities out on his own. In doing so, he fell into magical thinking to explain why some of his received memories were incomplete or suspiciously timed. Pic related: Grisha is hysterical here, and Zeke should have realized Grisha might not be rational in that moment.
On the contrary, I think the only instance where Eren was able to directly influence an exchange of memories was while he was within the paths with Zeke. If so, we saw exactly what he did: Eren touched Grisha's consciousness and shared his own memories of the past while he watched him, ultimately prompting Grisha to kill the royals. In turn, Grisha sent a specific bundle of memories forward in time, including his present conversation with Zeke, which set Eren on this route.
If all of the above turns out to be correct, this is more happenstance than plan.

The thing is that, for Eren to reach this specific situation where he can basically create this current version of himself a series of very specific conditions must be met like Zeke betrying his parents or the owl choosing to pass the power to Grisha.
On a show like Steins; Gete the situations would be inevitable due to the attraction field of that particular time line but on SNK for this kind of stuff to happen one would have to presume causality and intention more akin to a butterfly effect.
For example, for this specific situation to happen there is a deffinitly need for Grisha to rebel and end up in paradise island to birth Eren and pass the titan on to him. This in turns is also what allows Zeke to get his titan and background relationship with his father. The only way to ensure that specific outcome would be to use the owl to ensure the death of Grisha´s sister. That´s how it would work on a closed loop.
He's right beside the Beast. Watch Eren beat out Zeke and assimilate him and the Beast to form a new body.
Every year Libtards find something new to complain about and every year less of those faggots shit up the fanbase
Twitter faggots are going to call Eren racist for not letting the rest of the planet trample Paradis

As a latin american, I wish I could throw you in the middle of a narco town.
Gusano trash
Same to you chicano trash.
>The thing is that, for Eren to reach this specific situation[...]a series of very specific conditions must be met
That's no different from a non-time loop scenario. Every life relies on previous events to have occurred just so. Change one event, and the whole future outcome changes.
>The only way to ensure that specific outcome would be to use the owl to ensure the death of Grisha´s sister. That´s how it would work on a closed loop.
In a closed loop, the past is immutable. Either Eren's influence always happened, or it never did. There's no need to "ensure" a specific outcome, because that outcome is always guaranteed to have occurred. We have no hard evidence Kruger orchestrated Faye's death either, since Gross was the one who actually killed her. Even if Kruger did, it needn't be Eren's doing. If any AT shifter truly can receive their successor's future memories, Kruger might have been acting on Grisha's memory of that day, knowing he had to go watch the airship landing with Gross and meet those kids.
>For example, for this specific situation to happen there is a deffinitly need for Grisha to rebel and end up in paradise island to birth Eren and pass the titan on to him. This in turns is also what allows Zeke to get his titan and background relationship with his father.
I agree with all of this. But why do you think any of that required Eren's intervention? As far as we've seen, Grisha is also someone who yearned for freedom and was inclined to fight for it (in his own way) long before he received the AT. His past actions were consistent with his own personality. Just as Eren has "always been that way", Grisha has always been himself, destined to make certain choices based on his temperament and past experiences.
Yes I read it back in high school, the story was random parts of his life with no real time line because they experience time all at once.
So Eren would be one of them but with the power to influence people with memories
Fucking done with time travel shit man.
Steins;Gate, Madoka, Re:Zero, Erased, Your Name, Higurashi, I know there's some i'm missing but basically time travel is the sign of a redditcore anime and ruins my enjoyment every time I see it.
I will now only watch series that are completed and confirmed to have no time travel so as to be triggered no longer.
I've only read Erased and watched Higurashi from that list, they were fine in my opinion.
Time travel and loops can be interesting if done well.
So fucking good. I can't believe a manga that started to mediocre got so based.
But its a concept already perfected when sci fi started then redone a billion times until I want to throw up every time it happens.
Will we even go back to the battle after Eren's death?
Oh well, then agree to disagree.
I love everytime it gets well implemented in a story.
>time travel
Fuck off.
>How can something from the future change something from the past?
These guys are bad at explaining things so I'll tell you. The future can change the past when someone from the future can contact someone from the past and vice versa. As simple as that. But this is a type of paradox that you don't want in a story.
Imagine that someone from the present can both see the future and send information to the past.
Imagine he saw a vision of himself getting killed by his little brother. So he decided to kill his brother before that event happens, but his brother acquired immortality powers 2 years ago. So instead he decided to send a message to his own self from 3 years ago to kill his brother before he becomes immortal. Thus his brother dies in the past (before he becomes immortal) because he killed his big bro in a far future. And the past was changed, but that means so will be the present and the future, and even more complicated shit happens as a result.
But that's not the type of paradox Snk is.
For Snk, imagine that the same guy had a vision of himself getting killed by his lil bro in the future. So he tried to kill his lil bro instead. But his bro survived, because he was immortal. So he sent a message to the his past self to kill his bro before he becomes immortal. But he fucked up and accidentally sent the message to his past lil bro instead. He tried to re-send the message again but to his past self, however his little bro found him before he could and finally killed him (just like in the prophecy).
Turns out that his little bro actually didn't want to kill him or become immortal. But upon learning (from the accidental message) that his big bro wanted to kill him for a reason he didn't know he went on a quest to become immortal and succeeded. And then once his big brother actually came and tried to kill him, he just retaliated and killed him in return.
Btw, both of those are super mega cliché shit that everyone should know.
Sent a message to his past self to kill his bro*
Is it even relevant at this point? Eren has become a godlike being.

This.
Before Grisha's revelation it was a generic shounen, now it has a legit interesting plot at least.

So beautifull.

Unironically kill yourself.
Facism doesn't necessarily have to be monocultural(and that's if i concede that Paradis is multicultural, which it isn't)
This desu. If anime watchers can get through royal family arc, then there is no stopping the shows popularity.
>Rage powered timetravel fuckery
Chadren indeed
That was my favourite line from Zeke in that chapter. It shows Zeke has never even tried to understand Eren or thought about the ways Eren's life differed from his own. Eren, who was born inside a closed city believing he was part of the last remnant of humanity, couldn't be raised at a "nationalist" as we understand the term. The people of Paradis had no concept of nationhood or racial strife for most of Eren's life.
I've seen posts calling Eren an asshole for this scene, but Zeke deserved everything Eren said. Zeke should never have expected Eren to just agree with him, but he's intellectually inflexible and can't wrap his head around a different point of view to save his life.
