The next arc Bell immediately starts being that hero and ends up sacrificing his public image to do it and it doesn't go well. then after that arc he just gets way in over his head

No idea why they didn't include the scene with him overcoming Phryne blocking his way, as it was one of the bigger payoff moments, after she harassed him all throughout the arc.

There's not really much need for Sword of Oratoria as a separate novel series anymore. Since the rest of his Familia is still mostly low level shrubs, he'll have to do joint ventures with high level Familias to do his main line heroics and venture to the deeper levels. I don't see him cozying up with Freya's bunch, so that leaves just Loki. At this point there's no need for a separate Loki focused novel series anymore, as Bell's business will end up being Loki Familia business anyway.

It still sickens me that JC Staff's A team is working on Shitty Accelerator and not the superior Danmachi.

Introducing such level systems is a crutch to begin with and a clear give away that the author has no fucking idea how to write good fights.

The stats in general are sort of a fucking mystery as for how much they actually do. The general feeling I get is that Bell's stat growth probably counts for somewhere between half or a third of a level over most "average" examples of a given level each time. So Level 2 bell with maxed stats is basically a level 3, level 3 bell no stats raised yet would probably be about the same as a very "weak" level 4 or a level 3 that's just about to level up.
But then you also have people who are leveling up, while focusing entirely on certain stats which makes the whole thing even more uncertain. Like I have no idea how hard say, Lefiya could punch if she wanted to.

Pretty much. On my readthrough, I got the impression that maxed stats ins the S+ range can put you in the ballpark of a higher level, but the higher level adventurer will usually have the upper hand in a war of attrition, unless you have S+ in all your abilities and even then the upper level adventurer has the potential to have more skills than the lower level one, which may grant extra abilities (e.g. ox slayer, which is there for one specific fight in the future). In other words, a lower level guy with excellent stats can bridge the gap to an extent, if he goes batman on his foe and preps for the fight, but will still lose in the long run. The war game finale was an example of that. Beyond that it gets extremely murky and I guess the author won't get too specific to have some leeway to write his ass out of corners he paints himself into on occasion. Also keep in mind that Bell is an oddity thanks to how easily he comes into multiple S ranks.

Either you accept the rules set up by the setting or you don't. Even Lilly, being a measly lvl 1, could kick anyone's ass who hasn't a Blessing. If they're on equal footing, lvl and stats, then individual skill and physicality will matter, otherwise, stats trump all.

He got that after he beat that minotaur. He used it in the OVA against that monster in the spring and against the giant at the end of season 1, plus he used it during the war game.

This season, has been an absolute failure on all fronts. They can’t even build in to anything right. It's a bit frustrating that they streamline stuff like that for the adaption, as it diminishes the broader perspective of things that are happening behind the scenes and help to make the world feel more alive, with more characters than just Bell and core friends having agency. After three level ups with progressively higher stats each time, Bell is still only considered among the top tier of level fours. It's just that very high stats can get you close enough to still win in favorable circumstances. At level two, he was completely dominated by an unimpressive level three and he had to literally bring a tower down on the guy's head to even the playing field.

This becomes more important at higher levels, where skills, magic, and technique have enough variety and impact to have a noticeable effect on battle, but raw stats are still enough that you have almost no chance of winning against someone of a higher level. Lefiya says that after becoming level three, she was able to take on Minotaurs, level two STR-build monsters, in melee. Riveria is also able to threaten a level five-equivalent in melee, albeit with assistance. I think they only time they've actually said a lower level person was stronger than a higher level one was about Ais, because her magic is OP as fuck.

To be honest watching S2 made me remember how much I didn't actually like S1 despite being a little hyped for S2. Danmachi is in the end still just one of lower tier shows that you watch as a time waster/filler. I forgot that when getting caught in the hype.

I get the feeling that when this story nears it's end and the Hestia Familia has to face off against Freya Familia, Hestia and Freya will themselves come to blows. Hestia stabbing Freya with the Hestia knife to finally get her to stop is what i believe will happen in the end.

Not as much in the anime as in the novels but she basically sees a different aura around him than she sees with anyone else. Right off the bat, that makes her take notice. She genuinely takes pleasure in seeing him get stronger because it makes his aura more brilliant. The way she subtly messes with him versus the way other deities (like Hermes and Ishtar) try to is a night and day difference- Freya gives him genuine opportunities to get stronger while others manufacture situations that just feel lazy by comparison.

She's basically the embodiment of the core theme of the series.

Gonna go ahead and predict that Haruhime hasn't pleased any men of the men that hired her due to her passing out instantly out of embarrasment.
