Why is every admiral except for Akainu so damn useless? >Aokiji >Lazy and unmotivated, lets himself being hit by clearly inferior fighters because it's to tiring having to move away. Never finishes the fucking job >Kizaru >Overpowered devil fruit, can shoot lazers/or become one and yet failed to capture the rookies at Sabaondy, every single one of them escaped. Has no strong will or desire, even lazier than Aokiji >Garp(yeah, vice admiral that refused multiple times to become an admiral) >Biggest Marine Legend, fought on equal terms with the Pirate King >Doesn't try to fight Whitebeard >Doesn't try to save his grandson only to regret it later >Did nothing in the war but punch Marco in his mug >Sengoku >Another legendary Marine >Let's Luffy get away with Mr. Three and Ace >Has enough power to treat Blackbeard like a bitch even after eating Whitebeard's fruit, and yet did nothing to make sure Ace got killed Now we get my guy >Akainu >Relentless and tenacious, this fucker won't let you go. Win or lose, you're going to experience hell >Fried Whitebeard's organs, took half of his face and brain, which basically sentenced his dead even if he managed to escape >Takes two massive island destroying hits at point blank, still manages to get up and punch a whole in Jimbei's chest and cook Luffy's in the process >Fights all the commanders by himself because he's fucking crazy and hates pirates more than anyone >Only stops because Sengoku was his chief in command >Makes Blackbeard and his whole gang run like little bitches when it's just him on a navy ship with a bunch of fodders
Fujitora seems a complex character so I won't say anything bad from him just yet, but he hasn't produced results either.
Because if they were all competent like Sakazuki, Whitebeard and his crew would have been raped.
Alexander Wilson
To show a contrast between the various types of Justice. Him becoming the Fleet Admiral actually harms his type of Justice as he now has to bow down to the Gorosei. Garp had the right idea by staying a Vice and I think Aokiji wanted the position out of respect for Sengoku and likely to keep Sakazuki from doing any real damage, which doesn't seem to be the case.
Bentley Green
So it's just plain bad writing then? Why wouldn't the strongest Navy fighters want to win as fast as possible?
Caleb Wood
Killed Ace too
Jacob Miller
It's a personality weakness?
Noah Evans
Akainu literally Marty Mcfly'd Ace >coward >who you callin' a coward >dies instead of retreating Akainu is the real brains in One Piece.
Noah Walker
the answer is simply Kizaru doesn't give a shit about anything except the well being of celestrial dragons aokiji isn't 100% with the marines, that's the reason why he left same for Fujitora
the only one who is 100% JUSTICE DREDD is Akainu, there's a reason why is he is called "Red Hound"
It would still take every Admiral to fight Big Mom and Kaido, and they'd still lose.
Aiden Lee
Fujitora produced the result he wanted: compromised the Shichibukai.
Joseph Wright
Kizaru is only paying for his pension
Robert Walker
If Garp, Sengoku, the admirals and shishibukai all went all out, not a single member of Whitebeard crew would have survived
Anthony Brown
How fucked would the One Piece world be if BM/Kaido could convince Shanks to join them?
Colton Hernandez
No way. Big Mom's power level has been rather underwhelming. Two admirals would absolutely wreck her and one admiral would definitely be able to stall her for days. Kizaru was confident enough to suggest going to Wano to deal with both Big Mom and Kaidou.
Ace couldn't even beat Smoker. He was weak as fuck.
Michael Sullivan
Not a single mention of Fagbeard being a homosexual sugar daddy.
Nolan Evans
I just want to see Kizaru fight Bart since Barto's barrier wouldn't work against a man made of light in the same way Luffy negated Enel's devil fruit power.
Luis White
Will Akainu eventually kill the Celestial Dragons?
Connor Kelly
There is probably a limit to what and how much of an attack the barrier can withstand. Not to mention the fact that Kizaru is incredibly proficient in at least two forms of haki.
Josiah Jenkins
Doubt it,but if he does I want it to be after getting kicked out of the marines by public vote.
Connor Gutierrez
No I meant it literally negates barto's barriers. His barriers are clear, meaning light goes through them. Kizaru is MADE of light. His attacks go straight through bart's barriers. And if for some reason that doesn't work he could turn into light & just pass through to punch bartolomeo in the face.
He could probably make some deals with Dragon then planned to backstab him while Dragon planned to kill the Gorosei too.
Nolan Thompson
Kizaru is a hard counter for basically everything that isn't Blackbeard.
Anthony Flores
He didnt do shit, he let Doflamingo manipulate him into being his pawn in fighting law/luffy, when he could have easily found an excuse to arrest or kill doflamingo.
Anthony Watson
Kizaru was ordered to exectue the strawhats, the rookies just happened to be there as well and he couldn't care less
Camden Sanchez
Can't forget Mihawk too since the guy's hype is gigantic especially being the final objective of Zoro. What exactly does the guy live for? He lives(or used to) alone, he goes on a tiny tiny "ship" slashing shit out of boredom. Did he get this unmotivated because of Shanks losing an arm or was he always like this? Even in the war he was just there being bored, threw some attacks. Never saw the guy with even dust on his face, now that's lazyness. Akainu was bleeding from everywhere and going for the kill all the time.
Logan Jenkins
I feel like when a character is around the top tier, anyone can harm anyone. Sure, some are stronger but probably barely. I'm almost sure the 3 admirals together beat Big Mom and Kaido. Big Mom hasn't shown me anything to consider her even close to an old out of his prime Whitebeard.
Jose Adams
Everyone who is proactive in a fight is a hard counter against Blackbeard.
What if after the shichibukai gets abolished Mihawk joins Shanks crew?
Grayson Roberts
What if he joins Blackbeard's?
Liam Anderson
>Kizaru was confident enough to suggest going to Wano to deal with both Big Mom and Kaidou. just like luffy was confident infront of the 3 of them at the war doesn't mean shit
Asher Morales
>chopper dream is being able to heal all diseases and shit >law can already do that
Yep. Just like Corason, he's from an unit under Sengoku control. There job is to infiltrate pirate crew and sabotage them.
Brayden Allen
Feels good being a ZoroLORD
Leo Mitchell
Law looks cuter without the hat. Also, his sword need a better guard (hilt). That fluffy hilt looks dumb. He should get a hilt with human eyes on it.
Grayson Richardson
>>Kizaru >>Overpowered devil fruit Kek.
Xavier Jackson
Lol no, Celestial Dragons put him in power.
Owen Turner
Ace matched Akainu in physical combat he only reacted to the burns because it was unimaginable to him that he could be burned. He only lost because Luffy was there. Akainu’s fair combat advantage vs Ace was only minor “I can burn you but you can’t burn me.” Luffy was at a bigger disadvantage vs Crocodile and Katakuri and still won. I agree that Akainu using Luffy to defeat an opponent that could fight him for days was intelligent.
Jaxon Cook
If he does it’d require my old theory that Blackbeard wouldn’t only recruit Aokiji, but Akainu too, be true.
If Luffy was in Blackbeard’s place and then the soldiers reported to Akainu “he ran,” I can’t imagine Akainu being ok with it like he was for BB. He’d at least try and chase.
I'll be singing his praises if he points his raging justice boner at the world nobles.
Ayden Fisher
>magma >ice >evenly matched I don't think so, user.
Nolan Cooper
>jaimini scanlator intentionally grey tones the red line to fit his disagreement with the Shanks Hair theory. Even if it’s unintentional it’s retarded because soda keeps the grey tone shade as VERY special, since only Shanks hair is grey toned. Why does Jaiminis Box use the paint bucket to make it grey?
Here is a translator note Jaimini needs to read: In old Japan, colors were banned, this is clearly very significant to Oda, who gave the Wanonese the most colorful hair. To fight this, the Japanese used differences in shades of grey as their own sly way to still have colors to enjoy. In One Piece, only Shanks hair is intrinsically shaded with a grey tone to represent its color, and yet we have Jaimini’s Box raping Oda’s 20 year effort with paint’s bucket tool.
Oda uses gray tones for the red line as well. JB and MS just make it a bit darker
Andrew Long
>Ace matched Akainu physically Imagine thinking this. Imagine ACTUALLY thinking this. Ace is a fucking twink compared to Akainu, have you fucking SEEN his neck?
Fujitora can be a hard counter for Kizaru is his gravity is strong enough
Jackson Williams
Take your meds.
James Rodriguez
To be fair, Lufy is an idiot.
Christopher Clark
He only uses it for lighting, Shanks hair, and the Road Poneglyph. I just proved this outright with a raw of the red line shaded in white in contrast with Jaimini’s fan scan which literally paints it grey. There are instances of a grey red line, where it is covered in shadow, but in the light it is shaded white and Shanks hair is still shaded grey. I will blow you the fuck out every time.
>>Sengoku Don't forget, that he couldn't even break the waxshield of Mr 3
Noah Diaz
>Did he get this unmotivated because of Shanks losing an arm or was he always like this? He was probably constantly training his ass off before he met Shanks. Do we know when exactly he became WGS?
Sebastian Jones
can't disagree with you there then , how everyone was confidend on winning against luffy
Gabriel Russell
Not really?Even if he does end up being squished,he can turn into light and get out of his range before he even has a chance to react.Unless you mean he pummels him with meteors or some other projectiles en masse, then yeah,he's fucked.
Landon Stewart
That lasted a good duration vs Magellan too.
Joseph Peterson
If they weren't lazy, there would be no pirates.
Isaac Flores
Akainu is the most based character in one piece. Only retards hate him.
How strong would Zoro need to be when he goes all out against the Younkos alliance, for you to call BS? Reminder that Zoro hasn't had any asspull/flashback power up ever since the timeskip.
Nicholas Moore
Not marines but Cipher Pol
Hunter Jenkins
They are poisoning the story in a big way and should change it before rather than after it’s revealed as plot significant. Color integrity is not a lot to ask for.
Daniel Smith
>murders children >based
Connor Barnes
if he wins its bullshit anything the strawhats do , its bullshit in the eyes of Yea Forums
>people continue researching things, KNOWING about buster calls >surprised when the government actually sends one and commits to it Colored me shocked, ya fucking moron.
Hudson Clark
Technically true since Tsuru was base commander at Marinefird.
Reminder that Akainu cheated in the fight against Aokiji. You're delusional if you think he would spare him and then ignore him joining the Blackbeard Pirates
Someone please post the okiku and hiyori hentai link
Aiden Baker
The random kids had nothing to do with it.
Cameron Gonzalez
This is the page before and it is in white. Now show shanks hair or the road poneglyph shaded white. Their normal counterparts (red hair on other characters, regular poneglyphs) are.
With enough gravity you can fuck with light. Gravity can be pretty fucking OP because it can bend space time, but considering Oda thinks that magma superior to fire, I don't think science is his strongest subject.
Cooper Mitchell
Yes, but their parents did, and KNOWINGLY put their kids in danger. It's the parents fault.
Sebastian Lewis
So then why go off about Jaiminis and the Red Line when Oda has previously used grey too? What is your point?
Christopher Russell
This page literally shows the white shade red line in the center panel. The very top of reverse mountain is mysterious though I agree, with ancient glyphs leading all the way up the canal to the top.
Camden Lopez
So he should have punished the parents only. But he killed the kids anyways. Not based.
Justin Cook
>It's the parents fault. Unironically this
Evan Turner
You didn’t post any raw scans, another scan group used grey too is what you have shown. In the raw the red line is colored white. Jaimini is intentionally unfaithful to Oda’s intended coloration, and will paint bucket over his own color choices.
The fact you can’t post Shanks hair or the road poneglyph in white or black tone, but you can any other object is a rather strong proof.
Oliver Murphy
See:
Ethan Roberts
>law says not to punish kids >parents just give all their research to their kids >'lol you can't take that, it's on my kids now!' Retard. The parents shouldn't do things deemed illegal and then get upset at the consequences of their own actions.
Did he undergo some sort of training in jail. It's hard to believe the guy wasn't scared to attack Whitebeard, Mihawk, and Akainu is the one who lost to a $30,000,000 bounty pirate
Charles Wood
So Usopp is going to be the one that takes down the Numbers since all his lies apparently turn into reality.
>Usopp tells them he's killed ten of them at once in the past >It turns out there were previous numbers who died to an unknown person >They believe Usopp is that person and runs away
Alexander Allen
orojackon pls go
John Hall
I'm re-watching Skypeia and just had this huge fucking revelation about Sanji. There's this scene at the start where Luffy and Usopp and Chopper all play around while Sanji and Zoro look at them like "pfft, kids", but then Sanji cheerfully joins in.
Sanji, the chain-smoking bearded guy in a tuxedo who knows how to cook and is the only SH with a functioning sex drive is basically the same age as the rest. He's on the same mental level as Usopp. This explains so fucking much.
Josiah Jenkins
This is retarded, haki is black and light can't pass through haki either Barto would destroy Kizaru with Haki, not that he would since they both work for Vegapunk
Connor Jackson
I still believe Rebecca to be bullshit, Usopp wasn't even there when it happened.
It's was always quite obvious to me that he'd like to fool around just as much as the rest of the boys, but thinks it'd make him look too childish, compared to Zoro who simply isn't interested most of the time.
Yeah, the beautiful swordswoman with meat is O-Kiku
Levi Perry
He'd chase him under normal circumstances, but he was there specifically to pick up Bonney.
Robert Howard
If you don't like Rebecca there's also Kiku
Joseph Green
>proxy.duckduckgo.com.jpg >barrier heh

Holy shit, the Laphahns actually look like Carrot. Maybe they are related?
Isaac Cooper

You people are absolutely hopeless.
Colton Wilson
are you retarded? oxygen trapped inside he barrier can last for a very long time considering the size of the barrier he uses. It doesn't need to go in and out.
Austin Barnes
Wait for them to post that panel of Usopp and Luffy criticizing Robin's lack of enthusiasm on lookout duty as a foreshadowing too.
The manga would be over if any of the admirals were competent. The mc is supposed to win. So any opponent is gonna do something retarded to ensure the mc doesn't die. It's classic shonen rule.
Because he had lost his will and dream. In his Cover Story, he restores his reason to actually fight.
William Cox
>In his Cover Story, he restores his reason to actually fight. It's bullshit. Golden Week only revealed his dream not restored it, he straight up refuses to get out of jail as there's nothing of interest for him anymore. He only gets some resolve back when the war is about to happen.
Jaxson Thomas
What did they do to him to make him so traumatized of seeing a woman body?
Angel Anderson
Crocodile.
Luffy lost the fight when crocodile dried him.
Bloodcells are part water, therefore his blood cells died, giving him very few seconds to regenerate his entire blood supply, which is impossible.
John Murphy
So what are you guys doing during your break week?
What's he doing now? His current bounty is by far the one I'm most interested in learning
Kevin Nelson
Watching handegg
John Johnson
Why does the anime art look so good now? I'm certainly not complaining, I just want to know what changed.
Levi Gonzalez
I wouldn't expect too big of a bounty for him. We know nothing of any major incident involving him post-war (everything is about Worst Generation supposedly) and there was this Jinbe's comment about bounties normally not going up too fast after reaching 300m. So 300-400 is what I'd expect for him at this point.
Benjamin Cooper
Budget?
Bentley White
New designer
Luke Gray
Between Alabasta and Marineford, I'd imagine he'd get something close to Jinbe
Chase Parker
Crocodile, easily.
You have a pre-Gear, pre-Haki Luffy going up against a Logia user and Shichibukai, and still somehow managing to win. Oda had to even asspull a new weakness to Croco's ability just to have a pre-Haki Luffy even be able to damage Crocodile. The whole "water (even just a couple of DROPS) is enough to prevent Croco from turning to sand" thing was ridiculous then, and is even more ridiculous now that Haki exists.
Luffy should have gotten stomped. I mean, he DID get stomped, but he still shouldn't have been able to come back and win
It was obviously haki. Luffy and Zoro are supposed to be nearly equal strength wise, do you really think Oda would have Zoro start using haki 400 chapters before Luffy?
Josiah Long
Fujitora would destroy earth while doing it. I doubt he can actually create a black hole with his power level.
Eli Scott
Kizaru has admiral levels of haki. He would absolutely wreck Barto without even using his fruit.
Easton Carter
He is literally one of the four natural forces. It doesn't get much more OP than that.
>he actually believes something that is established canon Yeah, I suppose I do?
You act like what I posted is just some crazy fan theory and not established canon. Luffy discovered the weakness completely by accident and chance. How would that have been Haki? He even pulled out the same trick at Marineford. Do you really think that pre-Timeskip Luffy was only able to subconsciously/accidentally use Haki when he was ALSO coated in water?
Do you realize how crazy that sounds when the existing, established explanation is far simpler and makes far more sense?
Teach will definatly come to Wano right?! I mean there is no other way for Luffy to win against an Yonko alliance, unless he himself allies with a Yonko
One Piece is on so many breaks that my brain's just removed it from its schedule. Usually only remember to read the latest chapter because I see a thread or a friend mentions it.
Why are One Piece threads so good, shit posters get completely ignored generally and there is actual discussion happening more often than not. What the fuck is going on?
Eli Perez
Reading the Negima chapter dumps that some kind user has been doing for the last couple of weeks Made a Sabaody reference at the start of the isekai arc OP mentions Sabaody in the intro to the next thread
Isaiah Walker
sorry, it was a three hours long movie so i'm kinda dizzy at the moment
I'm just saying that was the most bullshit fight he had.
Jonathan White
>Luffy going up against a Logia user and Shichibukai, Neither of those are power levels you fool
>The whole "water (even just a couple of DROPS) is enough to prevent Croco from turning to sand" thing was ridiculous then
How is that ridiculous when that was partly the reason why he was causing droughts in Alabasta? Sand clumps together when wet, ergo Luffy can punch the shit out of Croc with any liquids.
Did you even read Alabasta? Crocodile was a BITCH. A dying Luffy was able to shatter his wrist.
Dominic Thompson
Luffy was drenched in water and blood
Andrew Scott
If you are talking about the lookout meme then just give up, it was already stated that they need 2 lookouts, thats not a legit role you are just staring at shit
Adrian Cook
>most bullshit Krieg and Arlong happened on the same day.
Jacob Hill
Also they have 5 Observation Haki users on the ship now. Carrot doesn't add anything.
Mason Collins
Those are some fast gif-making skills regardless
Jacob Long
You are a stupid nigger, you are the blackest retard gorilla nigger i have ever seen.
some anime titles >902: The Yokozuna Enters The Scene! The Invincible Urashima Targets O-Kiku! >903: Sumo Battle! Strawhat VS The Strongest Yokozuna! >904: Luffy's Explosive Anger! Save O-Tama From The Crisis!
Oh cool so they take one chapter and split it into 2 episodes.
Camden Perez
so 901 will cover the rest of the 914 chapter, probably Luffy and Zoro jobbing to Batman for the most of the episode
Carter Baker
901 is gonna cover the rest of 914 plus 915 until urashima shows up
Josiah Morgan
Vic has weak game and can only get with barely legal fangirls who want to fuck Tamaki.
Zachary Allen
Katakuri, though my recent reread of the whole series and going through WCI all at once made the fight feel less bullshit than it did waiting for it weekly.
Pre-Haki, elemental rock paper scissors was largely the way such enemies handled. Not just the big dudes like Crocodile and Enel, but even simpler fights like the ones with Kalifa, which was also water. Also, though it wasn't super prominent in the Crocodile arc itself, there's the factor that Crocodile had essentially degenerated by running away from his difficult ambitions and settling for something he thought was easier to achieve. Which results in Luffy's unwavering ambition beating him. This sort of thing pops up a lot in One Piece. Moria ended up being the same.
Katakuri I think suffered from anons buying too much into his hype and the way the fight dragging on weekly makes stuff build up. There was a lot of effort expended reading way too much into his powers and logical reasons for Luffy to beat him when, in practice, the fight was just another difficult, overwhelming enemy Luffy grew stronger while fighting and then beat. Luffy often outlasts his enemies more than he just completely beats them.
The only completely overwhelming enemies Luffy hasn't been close to dealing with so far are the Admirals and the Four Emperors. These have been the ones that in the past and still so far, he's just outclassed by.
Bisorimifags rejoice. Is/was he anyone else's favorite warlord? Was he like the vergo of the revolutionaries? Why was he called tyrant tho? Are his paws soft? Questions everywhere.
I question the wisdom of doing this on his WOODEN deck
Robert Barnes
>Is/was he anyone else's favorite warlord? I never particularly cared for the warlords very much. Not that I disliked any of them, really, but they were never the characters who stuck in my mind particularly. >Was he like the vergo of the revolutionaries? Maybe, but his whole was weird. I always got the feeling everyone knew what his deal was on the Navy's side, so I always figured there was something more going on. That somehow both he and the Navy were trying to play each other, with Kuma agreeing to their human weapon project and being a Warlord for them in exchange for it allowing him to achieve some sort of goal. And both were gambling on the thing they wanted outweighing whatever the other one would be able pull off through the arrangement. >Why was he called tyrant tho? Since it was casually revealed he used to be a king, that probably played into it. We should get some sort of flashback or explanation when the mainplot comes back around to his character and probably Bonney as well. >Are his paws soft? No doubt.
I think you mean Croco D. Ile Thats his secret, he carries the will of D
Gavin Martin
Can he
Isaiah Gomez
Looks like 901-902 are gonna be the rest of 914 and 915 while 903 and 904 both cover a whole chapter. Really not that bad.
Jason Murphy
Sorry. Zoro occupies that spot.
Kevin Sullivan
holy shit this pacing
Jonathan Thomas
luffy literally regenerated health with eating like an rpg character when he was pulled out after being impaled. Then luffy was comically filled up with water after becoming a scary dried husk. After that crocodile's df powers are simply negated against luffy's blood because muh nakama. At least vs katakuri, luffy was juiced up on powers.
He's my favorite along with Jinbe and Doflamingo. Can't wait to find out more about what happened between him and Bonney.
Elijah Torres
Well, Kaidou is still affected by alcohol, so I'm guessing stuff like blinding and sleeping toxins still affect him, but I doubt any of his poisons will deal damage. Also, it highly depends on how cocky Kaidou is feeling I guess, he could end the fight instantly if he wants to.
Adrian Smith
>Kaidou is still affected by alcohol LEAVE THE KAIDO TO US!
one is wearing a gas mask, the other one is a moai
Eli Bell
The problem with ''moral''fags like kuzan, garp, smoker, coby, etc is that they believe that they can change the system from within by doing it their way. But like any organization you aren't the one who changes the system, the system changes you until you get the according rank. And by then you have already been played like a fool and done what you shouldn't have according to your personal believes. If they truly wanted to change the marines, they should've opposed it.
Hudson Gray
I still don't understand how "ZEHAHAHAHA , MUGIWARA." and his goons stomped him into Oblivion after previously being instantly one shot.
Most of them never tried to change the system, they clashed with it at times, but they were hardly playing politics. They're just doing their job protecting people around the world. All in all, Marines good deeds far outweigh their bad deeds.
Actually Kuzan could have changed the system if he became Fleet Admiral, and Garp could have but rejected it because he's not a moralfag. Garp just likes to throw cannons. Smoker doesn't care either. Coby is a different story.
Brayden Ross
What was the deal with these guys?
Aiden Mitchell
You have a celestial dragons and world government that supposedly can't wipe out piracy. Reason? Because they need pirates so that people feared them and wanted marines to protect them. Akainu just a dog on the leash.
Ryder Brooks
I mean he pretty much fell into a slump. Gained weight and had crushed spirits. He was definitely very strong in his prime.
Joshua Torres
Kalifa wasn't beaten with water? That's just how you got your strength back, she was taken down with mirages and lightning.
Caleb Jenkins
Theory: Big Mom is actually terrifyingly powerful, even beyond Kaido/Shanks/rivaling Gol D. Roger, but doing so completely drains her for a VERY long time, caused by her calories (hint all the sweets).
Nathaniel Carter
One Piece, unlike some other series, doesn't have as linear a power scale. Nifty abilities can tip the scales of battle.
Nolan Edwards
because teach had the rest of level 6 prisoners with him that time
Jeremiah Brown
They joined the marines at the same time so I reckon yes they are. Probably why they can put up with each other's shit.
I hate this theory, all canonical evidence indicates that his loss against Kaidou convinced him to pursue greater strength, albeit in unconventional ways. Same can be said for Arlong, Crocodile, and Doffy -- once they realized the strength they needed to dominate the One Piece world, they started looking into alternative methods to rapidly acquiring power outside training/their own will. If anything Moria deserves credit because he did technically come closer to his goal (immortal zombie crew that can crush the New World) than any other villain in the series by completing Oars.
Moria was a fat lazy slob who used zombies because then he didn't have to care when they got wrecked. He was probably never on Kaidou's level (his "rivalry" consisted of getting his shit wrecked and his entire crew dead) but a major part of Thriller Bark was that Moria had essentially given up.
I'm not arguing that he was ever on Kaidou's level or that he's even a huge threat in the OP world, and that's definitely a theme not just in Thriller Bark but for a lot of villains in this series, but the claim that he's gotten weaker since his heyday is absurd since he's now gained the science and equipment necessary to maximize his devil fruit via building a massive zombie army. Moria + Oars is the strongest form of Moria to exist, past and present
Chase Ortiz
I can't wait for his smile and optimism to be restored once Kaido is defeated at the end of the arc
Julian Wilson
Since Shanks had his scar 20 years ago, it means he met BB and got his scar before he learned haki? Is BB the reason Shanks decided to go to East Blue?
Oda was already planning to make Elbaf giants a race of tragic jobbers in the grand scheme of things no different than the fishmen and has introduced bigger breeds of giants to make Elbaf more of a challenge (the warriors need to be strong in order to fight giant yeti assholes and the occasional member or Oar's tribe, ect)
Ayden Evans
>it's completely logical that Luffy punches through Krieg's spiked cape and gets poisoned several times and is still 100% when he fights Arlong
James Russell
He was trained as a kid to recover quickly.
Julian Nelson
Luffy has immunity to poison. Also it didn't happen on the same day, they had a couple of days to recover. Krieg was stronger than Arlong and Luffy couldn't fight both at once.
Ryan Wilson
I mean, technically Moria likely has a total mastery of his fruit, if he's not awakened then shit like Doppleman and being able to change people's appearances by manipulating their shadow isn't nearly as straightforward as just making zombies. Moria apparently got to Wano before Kaido did if he stole Ryuma's corpse before Kaido invaded the place,if he wasn't a major contender with Kaido then we're probably seeing what happened to Moria happening to Kidd in real time
Isaiah Stewart
>Moriah takes the shadows from willing defunct SMILE victims to give the able-bodied fighters a extra boost powered by the righteous rage against Orochi
Jaxon Rogers
Moria was at his prime when he was battling equally with Kaido, now he's just a fat slob which is why he lost to Luffy.
I mean, him also having a big zombie army back then would make sense as well, Kaido's whole shtick so far is wanting a strong crew at the expense of probable logic and reason, like trying to recruit one of Oden's former top dogs after they've been dicking around for nearly twenty years or recruiting half the cohort of young notable pirates, Moria can make zombies and make people stronger with extra shadows, either or would've made him attractive to the biggest warmongerer in the setting
Levi Gray
As an individual, he definitely got weaker. He didn't believe that he himself could get stronger and win, so he ended up just searching for the strongest body and shadows to win. Doing so he neglected his own training and strengthening.
Zachary Powell
robin should wear hats more often
Robert Garcia
Yeah, I fully agree with that theory. I will say Moria is interesting as a character because his DF does technically give him the capacity for infinite potential, in that his crew's power can always increase so long as he keeps stealing strong shadows. Obviously lots of other characters use unconventional means to increase their crew's power (BB stealing devil fruits, SMILE, Big Mom's arranged marriages) but what's interesting is that Moria's potential comes directly from his fruit
Isn't he technically one of the better father figures in the series? Perona isn't as messed up as she could've been getting raised by the guy, at worst you could say that his laziness permanently rubbed off on her as a permanent trait given that she managed to mature after spending a few years off Thriller Bark.
Her laziness is perfect though. Moria deserves a seat at Zoro and Perona's wedding for sure. Without him, Perona would never have existed.
Jose Gray
You would think logically he had a zombie crew back then as it's the best application for his power, but his dialogue in Thriller Bark seems to suggest he only got the idea to do this once he saw his crew killed before his own eyes and rationalized that humans were too weak and he needed immortal zombies to become Pirate King. But yeah Moria's potential to create an infinitely strong crew is interesting, having him join your fleet is like adding an army
There isn't a single panel or line of dialogue in the series which backs this up. If a character is past their prime, Oda has always specifically stated it, in the case of Whitebeard and Garp. All we can conjecture from what we know is Moria got annihilated in the New World and realized he needed to get stronger, and he decided the best way to do this was via an immortal zombie crew
David Cox
poor fucking guy, lost his whole crew once, became tsundere and pretended to only want zombies, then charged straight into a Yonkou's territory the instant one of his nakama went missing
Are you retarded? He got that at Impel Down. LONG after Baratie.
Aiden Reed
>then charged straight into a Yonkou's territory the instant one of his nakama went missing Is this on par if not more impressive than invading Enies Lobby to save Robin?
Moria not bothering to make zombies before getting the shit kicked out of him could be another way to distinguish the difference between his and Big Mom's power. Big Mom apparently can make homies without almost no effort if she could do it by accident as a child and there's entire islands populated by the things, but she needs to focus on someone to steal their lifespan and and she can't actually force it to happen. Meanwhile, there's no real possible defense against Moria taking someone's shadow away in terms of haki or willpower or anything else, but creating zombies is something that requires individual effort for each one because he can't parcel out individual shadows like Big Mom can use people's souls.
Brandon Powell
I'd never thought about it in that context but holy shit yeah it's a way more dangerous thing to attempt, the odds are way more stacked for someone taking on a Yonko than it was for the Straw Hats just needing to fight a couple CP9 agents
Jayden Morgan
good thing the will of destiny is a tangible thing in one piece's story
Joseph Sanchez
Thanks for the Luffy pic! I added it to my collection
>I'm just saying that was the most bullshit fight he had. It's still Enel if you want to criticize cartoon physics. The heat from Enel's attacks should have killed him not left him unphased.
Caleb Reed
What
Jeremiah Morris
Well I'd say the biggest difference between any Yonko and non-Yonko character is that Yonko's are born with this godly power. Even Big Mom without the help of a fruit manhandled Queen, Shanks can maintain his role in the world balance despite lacking a fruit (and an arm), and Blackbeard knew that just stealing Whitebeard's fruit wouldn't put hiim on the same level as WB, rather he had to become the first man in history to eat two fruits because only their combined powers guaranteed him a shot at Pirate King.
But that is an interesting contrast, Moria essentially lacks quantity but if done right the quality of his ability can defeat take any shadow. But I think the problem in the OP universe is no Devil Fruit power alone can trump how Yonko are born straight up monsters, so people who make grand plans with their abilities who aren't Luffy are doomed to fail and have their dreams crushed
Isaac Mitchell
It's kind of a tossup if it would be more impressive if it was during the day or night, because anyone he stole shadows from would just disintegrate so he couldn't use them to continually rez corpses if it was bright and sunny, but him removing someone's shadow in broad daylight is also apparently one of the few ways in the series to insta-kill someone regardless of apparent strength
literally all the marine admirals have become complacent or depressed with being/fully-becoming the war-dogs of the shithead elite world nobles.
One joined Blackbeard (supposedly)
Fujitora's pulling off some major shit soon, hopefully.
Tyler Flores
He's a fine father figure, but OP is fucking loaded with good father figures so he's not one of the best.
Kevin Wright
yeah but instakills don't work against plot armor, so there's no way a significant character would ever be defeated by something so cheap
Jordan Mitchell
It's on par, but Moria knew Blackbeard before the Emperor business and clearly didn't respect him all that much so who knows, really?
Cameron Richardson
>Theory: Big Mom is actually terrifyingly powerful :O
Adrian Young
With my dick.
Oliver Hernandez
>Yonko and non-Yonko character is that Yonko's are born with this godly power Thats only true of Kaido and BM, Shanks was a cabin boy and WB got damaged by regular sword and bullet while Kaido and BM are immune to everything that isn't a top tier attack. They are more comparable to Bobby Funk than anything
>WB got damaged by regular sword and bullet while Kaido and BM are immune to everything that isn't a top tier attack. How does that make any sense? So Zoro with his new sword would decapitate WB!
Thomas Cox
WB was old, it's stated during Marineford that some of the attacks that hit him would've never had an effect if he'd been in his prime (of course we could argue whether that means he could've dodged them or they just wouldn't have hurt him, but I think that if he existed in the Yonko tier we could assume if he didn't have a plot disease holding him back he'd be capable of the same feats as Kaidou and BM)
I agree tho Shanks could be a Luffy scenario where through constant training and high stakes scenarios he unlocked his potential, it would thematically make sense, but we don't know how long he was a cabin boy or when he started to exhibit his potential
John Hernandez
Yes he would, that's why Whitebeard had the best fucking fruit in the world and didn't let people chop into his neck.
Benjamin Sanders
Big Mom is the strongest Yonko
Easton White
WB would have been Blackbeard during his prime with all the haki he had.
Joshua Perry
point being that Marin fodder and Scardo could pierce WB skin while BM could tank a sword strike from a giant as a five years old and Kaido was only scared once
Alexander Evans
Kaido clearly has some connection to the WG, but it seems more likely it has to do with his constant imprisonment and his subsequent escapes. King being a former head jailer is a common theory and it's be pretty funny if Kaido managed to get one of his former jailers on his crew, but I think it's more likely that he actually lost chunks of his original crew after decades of fighting the WG, and every time he was captured or defeated he lost some of his old comrades, which is why he's a drunken mess and none of his immediate subordinates work together at all. Big Mom is just a fucking freak, the biggest red flags with her being unnatural is that her arc introduced genetic manipulation/linage factors into the setting but there's no indication she ever went after Vegapunk after getting two of his former subordinates in her territory at the same time even though Orochi has the balls to outright ask CP 0 for him. You could also go full autism and say that homie is short for homunculus, while Judge's original name was literally Saint Germane (a famous alchemist) and Germa's producing testtube babies, so the whole arc is outright about two different families that produce artificial lifeforms.
Nathaniel Russell
Big Mom tanked Sunny even when Sunny cannon was aimed point blank range at Big Mom's eyeballs, right between them.
Cooper Campbell
>even though Orochi has the balls to outright ask CP 0 for him I mean, that speaks as much to Orochi's hubris. No amount of weapons would ever be worth Vegapunk, he's just inflated with superiority with Kaidou at his back.
Joshua Allen
and my point being you can technically explain that away as WB was old/diseased so he might lack the durability he once had. Also: Squardo was a member of a Yonko crew and strong in his own right, so him hurting an already weakened Whitebeard while he's offguard isn't too far-fetched, and the bullets hurting WB point is moot considering he'd had half his brain blown out by Akainu at that point, and I might argue not even a Kaidou or Big Mom would shrug off a magma fist to the face
Started drawing a few days ago, figured i would try drawing Blackbeard.
Jonathan Moore
Everything Big Mom has tanked so far >a Kong Gun against her hakied up arm >a spear in the mouth by Judge >an empowered Zeus strike >Pedro's suicidal explosion >a point blank Coup De Burst to the face >a barrage of cannonballs immediately after >cravings hunger >Jinbe's strongest technique shown thus far while hungry and wet >Zeus discharging all its electricity onto her at once
Time Gap >falling off the top of a gigantic waterfall and being drowned for an unknown period of time before the currents washed her up >the full weight of an obese dinosaur falling directly on her head >clashing with Kaido for two days
WB would have been severely injured if he went through what she had
Ayden Sanders
One reason is bad writing on Oda's part. The admirals could rule the seas un challenged if they actually put the effort into it.
Second reason is because Celestial probably liek a few pirates running around as it justify having a world navy.
> and my point being you can technically explain that away as WB was old/diseased so he might lack the durability he once had BM was unarmed by a sword strike from a giant warrior when she was 5 years old, at least an equivalent downgrade from being old.
So that you can understand, think of Bobby Funk who tanked an Haki enhanced axe, but has still much weaker than Don Chinjao, who was damaged by the spic trowing sword.
David King
at least 16 years ago. but yeah i expect shanks was looking for someone to carry roger's legacy.
Asher Myers
where can i find the uncropped?
Lucas White
I want to live in a world taken over by Kaido and Linlin who rules as King and Queen
I'm enjoying these panels. I want the rest to come out so I can re-read the arc in full color. I feel like, for an arc as vibrant as WCI, it's necessary to do so.
Open warfare like sending Admirals to 'non allied' countries may not go down well, tarnish image etc. They're just a tool, stronk people sent to defend a position. The WG is still (at this time) trying to show themselves as righteous and an alliance that you opt into, they're not openly trying to show they're a global conquest empire.
Is there shit writing with the admirals? Absolutely, Kizaru could snipe keys from a few hundred meters away, his lazor pierces flesh, the fucker could technically headshot 99% of all dissidents. This is a scale problem and the fact Oda doesn't want bodies every chapter, a clear mistake on his part, Kizaru is too strong, so he gets labelled lazy.
Adam Lopez
Yea Oda's art may seem messy in its black and white form but when it's coloured the messiness adds to the pop of the panel with all the layers of shading and contrasts, I love it
You meant to say that he got his ass handed to him and lost his entire crew, right?
Austin Hill
Dunno, Mihawk is an unknown quantity, at the least well respected. Boa is another anomaly, CoC (untrained) and CoA at least, she potentially can OHKO if she kicks your head off, so she's like Kuma in that they have terrifying fruits that could end a fight in one hit. Moria was complete shit and is the second largest, Doffy is bigger than both Boa and Mihawk and again their fight would be about if Doffy can control then and if Boa could land a hit on his head to end it, or ifMihawk can cut his strings.
Daniel Watson
This is a good point user. And I also don't want to invalidate your Bobby Funk argument, just want to say whenever Whitebeard received damage, it was either explained by he was suffering a disease or he'd already been hurt extensively (had half his head removed) so he could no longer guard. BM tanking a hit as a child is obviously impressive, but WB being hurt doesn't show that he's weaker than a 5-yr old, but that his disease was so extensive it could weaken him to a point where he couldn't survive an attack a 5-yr old (prodigy) could. Obviously you have your stance on this matter, but I just want to offer the idea, what does Oda mean by all this? According to his writing the Yonkos exist in a power balance, the thing that disturbed this balance was Whitebeard's weakening due to the forces of time. I don't want to say power levels in One Piece are entirely pointless at Oda's convenience, but I do argue he enforces outside factors (Whitebeard being old, Shanks needing to save his friend's life vs defeating a generic sea monster) to a degree that they weigh more heavily on plot than power level and shouldn't be taken to extremes
Jonathan King
And if whitebeard went all out, he'd destroy the world
Brandon Smith
>Shanks wanting to join a crew of furries and race-mixers
James Morris
No Ace didn't match Akainu.
That wasn't Akainu being smart. That was Ace being stupid. Honestly Akainu only survived because Whitebeard was too incompetent to finish him properly in the first place
Andrew Howard

Connor Bell
Kizaru was just chilling and walking around, shooting lasers at people.
Kizaru even turned his back on Whitebeard, not even giving one single fuck about Whitebeard.
Whitebeard would have died earlier in the beginning of Marineford if Kizaru felt like killing Whitebeard already.
Eli Gonzalez
Sorry speedreader but Kizaru's Yellow Monkey is the only ability that can destroy the world.
This is why Marines restricted Kizaru from using Yellow Monkey. The damage would have affected friendly forces.
Landon Ramirez
Will Chopper heal Luffy's shortened lifespan from DF use? If so, based.
Angel Bailey
I wanna smell it
Jason Jackson
>been re-reading OP, downloaded a collection thats all in color and up to about 30 volumes at this point >see a regular black and white page again
I actually completely agree, I legit can't fap to colored hentai because it seems so off
with OP though idk, I love it, it makes it so much more vibrant and gives so much more life to the world it's crazy. Even just the characters look so much better. Maybe its because I've already seen what the characters look like colored through the anime that it doesn't seem so weird, or that the fact that it's done professionally rather than the hack job on doujins, I dont fucking know man but god its insane going back. I'm in Skypeia right now and I dont know if I even want to know how awful enel's attacks look in comparison
There's something wrong with your brain because there's nothing strange or odd about colored pages. I don't have a preference but color is objectively superior. Deal with it.
Benjamin Adams
>that mama in the top panel I love these colored scans so much
Doffy can survive without a head and Boa's df isn't close to Kuma's df.
You see, Boa is strong because her haki is the most powerful.
Isaac Perez
i miss my nigga jinbe.
Isaac Flores
If the major players (Akainu, Kizaru, Aokiji, Garp, Sengoku and Mihawk) decided to go serious on the WB pirates, the war would have been over within 5 minutes. I think it takes at least 2 yonkou to challenge the marines.
Adrian Hernandez
If we go by physics, light is the ultimate force besides the quantum fields.
He's coming back with CC, Pekoms, and Pedro either at the end of act 2 or in act 3.
Parker Rodriguez
MIhawk and Boa are the strongest and it's not even close. Well, maybe Kuma in his prime is up there with him. Doffy has the Birdcage which is almost BS in how powerful it is, but aside from that he lost pretty easily to Luffy and Law's attacks can damage him. I doubt Mihawk would struggle against either and there's no reason to assume Boa would either. Not even saying Doffy is weak, just he's not at that level of Mihawk/Akainu and real top tiers who can actually fight Yonkous. Now maybe Boa is somehow weaker than Doffy, but I sincerely doubt it. Though I could be wrong.
Parker Ortiz
No, it officially takes 3 Admirals to defeat a Yonkou. Oda originally planned for Aokiji (Pheasant), Kizaru (Monkey) and Akainu (Dog) to defeat Kaido (Oni) following the Momotaro legend.
Benjamin Ward
>I think it takes at least 2 yonkou to challenge the marines. Luffy/BB/Shanks Teamup confirmed for endgame.
Jaxon Lewis
The problem is not all coloring is created equal. I don't know much about the One Piece color versions, but I presume it's an official release or so and has a good amount of effort and skill put into it.
Most colored hentai is done by amateurs with no real eye for proper coloring. Furthermore, some black and white art simply doesn't work as well in color depending on how it was shaped. I don't know if Oda specifically does his black and white art in a way that makes colored versions look better, but it's certainly the case some black and white art doesn't give much of a clue about how it should be colored with shading. And combined with totally amateur coloring, it can frequently look like shit.
James Wilson
Boa is the strongest female in the world, she's easily Katakuri level.
Oliver Thompson
Wait, is Whitebeard(old, not prime) or Kaido stronger? Has it been confirmed either way?
Samuel Watson
>Boa is the strongest female in the world She's not stronger than Big Mom. But you know what, you're right. Katakuri level sounds about right. So not quite Yonkou, but significantly above Doffy.
Smoothie has done nothing so yes. Devon has similarly done little but maybe. Devon is being built up as an endgame villain so it's hard to call. Maybe Boa will fight her at some point.
Jeremiah Lopez
Forgot Big Mom exists did we?
Evan Ortiz
New World Journey release in January (Hancock, Mihawk, Crocodile)
They are meant to show that the Marines are not a single mind, there are good and evil people in the organization, there are those that follow orders and those that ignore them, those that are motivated and those that are not. The Admirals are merely the strongest fighters in the organization, as opposed to the ones that kiss the most ass. Obviously though, they are massive victims of power-creep. Oda introduced the Admirals before he introduced the New World so they all had to be strong enough to contend with enemies to come but not wipe out the Straw Hats when they encountered them so he had to write ways around that and in the process ended up making every single high-level Marine a traitor except for Akainu.
William Jackson

I just read in one of the databooks that Shanks was already a Yonko when he saved Luffy. I'm shock because this means Mihawk is strong enough to spar with a Yonko, I've always believed he was sort of admiral-tier.
Gabriel Morris
Oda is a bad writer then because the Whitebeard swordsman left with zero battle damage despite fighting Mihawk
Not even his clothes got cut in anyway
Adam Bailey
>I've always believed he was sort of admiral-tier. Yes, and?
Look how Kizaru actually volunteered to head to Wano to take care of a potential Big Mom and Kaido alliance.
Also, when Sengoku was Fleet Admiral, Kizaru was always conveniently nearby Sengoku while reading a newspaper.
You see, Kizaru is the real Fleet Admiral in the Marines. He is sent by the Gorosei to spy on the Marines.
That is why Kizaru is Unclear Justice,
Robert Fisher
People still believe 'admiral-tier' is different from 'yonko-tier'? Reread the manga but slowly.
Anthony Long
Kizaru is roughly at Rayleigh's level. I don't think Rayleigh could defeat Big Mom/Kaidou by himself. His fruit is absolutely top tier and his haki is definitely strong enough to hurt someone of Kaidou's level, but not quite to kill him.
Chase Garcia
For me, there is Akainu-tier and 'admiral-tier'
Noah Myers
Admirals are weaker than your average Yonkou, albeit not by much. Whitebeard was the sole exception and he didn't really deserve the title of Yonkou anymore.
Kevin Cox
>level >tier
Nathan Campbell
Yeah, though it is kind of weird with certain Yonkou commanders being able to fight admirals like Marco, but then Katakuri being beaten by Luffy who still gets one-shot by Kaido. This might be more accurate. Like Mihawk being a Shichibukai but not "Shichibukai" level.
Isaac Collins
WB and the WB pirates are jobbers. The only exception might be Jozu.
Jordan Myers
Possibly Based and Redpilled.
Christian Hernandez
>Katakuri being beaten by Luffy Katakuri is still leagues above Luffy though. He only lost to Luffy's impregnable plot armor.
Ethan Roberts
>Yeah, though it is kind of weird with certain Yonkou commanders being able to fight admirals like Marco Marco can stall an admiral, but he's not on the same level. >but then Katakuri being beaten by Luffy who still gets one-shot by Kaido. Kaidou and Big Mom are each much stronger than their next strongest crew member.
Cooper Barnes
Well that's fair. But it does make Kaido's crew look stronger than Big Mom's logically. I doubt Katakuri compares to Kaido. Though you're right Katakuri will be seen fighting Akainu all of a sudden, before Akainu decides to punch off Kaido's arm or some shit and prove Luffy's plot armor is insane.
Jeremiah Wood
Marco lost to BB. That's enough to say he's not Admiral/Yonko level and the same would happen for all other Commanders.
Gabriel Ramirez
>1.99m is Shanks, dare I say it, a manlet by one piece standards?
If Roger had a rating of 10 >Yonkos would be 9 >Admirals would be 8.9 >Top YC would be 7 >Luffy would be 6
Austin Richardson
The thing with Marco is that he has INSANE regeneration. Kizaru had to penetrate him like a million times with his lasers before Marco was seriously injured and Marco had to be handcuffed with seastone cuffs to finally defeat him for good.
Jordan Nelson
>Mihawk would be 8
Nathaniel Sanchez
Maybe on a logarithmic scale LOL
Henry Walker
The answer is simple: kill him fast.
John Wood
Marco being hadcuffed means that he has shit CoO haki. He would job to both King and Kat
Alexander Scott
Whitebeard was the stongest man, Kaido is the strongest living thing. Old Whitebeard was definitely the weakest Yonko since Akainu and Blackbeard were able to kill him but neither wanted to fight Shanks.
It pretty much went Big Mom = Kaido = Shanks > Oldbeard
Joshua Nguyen
Kaido > Big Mom > Shanks > Blackedbeard
Caleb Cox
Vista (that's his name you dumb speedreader) sparred with Mihawk, it wasn't an actual fight.

>Katakuri is still leagues above Luffy though. He was below Luffy because he's never been hit before.
>Just wait till the Ls and Ws arrive The what now?
Thomas Cruz
How does that make any sense? It took Akainu 10 days to beat Aokiji who you would consider 'admiral-tier' that just goes to show the difference is negligible.
