But screentones at that resolution stop looking like a mesh and it's impossible for a redrawer to make out patterns. It's a mess to edit.
Therefore things get crunched to sub-3000px vertical. Current standard is 2400px vertical (a happy middle ground for 1080p and 4K readers), and it will probably stay like that unless official publishers start putting out 2400px+hi-res digital pages.

I hate reading manga on desktops. The zoom and aspect ratio is never right, and I tend to prefer doing other things on my desktop. Manga I like to read while I'm out running errands and whatnot.
