I barely remember this shit but basically her mother was crazy and kept her in a cage so one day she put her mother in a cage instead to show her how it feels but then she just left her parents in the cage and they starved to death for some reason so she went all Psycho (as in the movie) and pretended their dead spirits were still with her and carrying their skulls with her. But basically this made her feel like she had nothing left to live for and one day Yukki joked about marrying her so she decided to make that her point of living or something. But this actually happened in a previous timeline of the survival game where Yukki acted like a chad which probably made her love more genuine. Anyway they did a suicide pact together but Yuno didn't go through with it (dont rember why) and decided to timeleap somehow so she could do it all over again and protect Yukki.
The story actually addresses the point whether or not her love is "genuine" or just an emotional crutch and Yuno briefly comes to claim that sort of thing as well, but it's just self-denial and guilt over her lies (her diary shows her real thoughts). Point is regardless of how they started out they do love each other. It's actually pretty sweet.
